Great place to relax. The Shooting range is usually not too busy on the weekdays however, weekends do it gets pretty busy. The fishing is good as well.

Great place if you wanna go fishing, camping and try the shooting range.. Perfect for a weekend of rest and relaxation. We went here as a part of our West Virginia fall leaf peeping drive . The roads leading to the lake are not tarred with many off roading options as well. So wouldn’t called it a touristy place - kind of the place where you want to just want to let go and rewind .

I got lost while coming home from a trip and stumbled upon this lovely location today. It turned out to have been one of the best moments of the entire trip and I hope that I habe many more such mistakes in the future. This lake is absolutely stunning. It is nestled between the mountains and feels perfectly peaceful, as if the world ends at their peaks. Today was warm and sunny but with the perfect breeze. The lake was a rich blue. I just wish that I had brought a kayak or canoe.

It's really nice to go with your family. Would be better without the Lilly pads.

The road around the lake is terrible. Potholed and washed out in places.
