Point
Overlook
is
a
popular
venue
for
elopements
and
micro-weddings,
and
I've
photographed
there
many
times,
but
it's
not
my
favorite
for
a
few
reasons.
One,
it
is
BUSY
here.
Don't
book
it
for
a
weekend
wedding
unless
you're
prepared
to
fight
for
parking
spots,
and
have
dozens
of
tourists
walk
right
past
the
back
of
your
ceremony.
Two,
there
are
so
many
better
views
in
Summit
County
than
the
one
from
the
ceremony
overlook!
You
can
barely
see
the
mountains
through
the
trees,
so
it's
pretty
underwhelming
even
compared
to
the
views
from
the
trail
down
there.
That
being
said,
it's
one
of
the
few
venues
in
the
area
that
can
be
rented
for
just
a
few
hours
for
dirt
cheap
($110
at
the
time
of
this
review),
and
it's
one
of
the
few
places
on
public
lands
where
you
can
have
a
ceremony
for
groups
of
up
to
35
people.
Book
it
on
a
weekday,
either
early
in
the
morning
or
right
before
sunset,
and
you
can
have
a
great
experience
here.
But
avoid
it
midday
on
weekends—it's
more
stress
than
it's
worth.
And
PLEASE
don't
feed
the
chipmunks!
