Stayed there 8 times and will definitely stay again. Great location, homely environment. nice patio. The hostel is very clean and smells good. The staff is friendly. There is a grocery store right across the street, the market is also very close. The beach is a 10-min walk but the clubs are all very close because the hostel is in the heart of Tel Aviv. Highly recommended!

My first impression is do not 🚫 stay here. The owner is a complete nut case. He called the Tel Aviv police asking them to kick me out of the hostel because I refused to pay extra for sheets (I bought my own sleeping bag).

Best hostel I've ever stayed in ! there is such a good atmosphere in this beautiful hostel and very good vibes. Everything is done to make you meet people and brings a feeling of togetherness, the owner even cooks very often for the guests. The hostel is very well located, in the heart of Tel Aviv close to all the bars and clubs and 10 minutes far from the beach. I had such a great time there, so I decided to come back 2 months after my first stay. I would highly recommend to stay at chef hostel if you're heading to Tel Aviv!

Amazing backyard area, good vibe, and affordable. We were a fairly big group and were welcomed with wide open arms. Great service & communication and the location is perfect. Definitely recommend staying here.

I really LOVE this place and stay at Chefs Hotel every time I go to Tel Aviv (now already four times) Roy,who runs the place, has succeeded creating a fabulous ambiance and atmosphere - great for single travellers as well as those travelling in groups. Nice music and cool people to hang out with on the terrace/back yard. And often cooking together. Great location -- close to the hip bars, and even though not on the beach itself, not too far away (notably with the bikes for rent). Highly, highly recommended!!!

The best place to enjoy your Tel Aviv experience. Perfect for travelers and independent people that like and know how to enjoy life, go with the flow and meet cool people from all over the world. Very comfortable beds, clean (!!!) bathroom, full furnished kitchen, cozy yard and common areas! Enjoy the vibe and feel home!

I've stayed in multiple hostels in tel aviv and this is by far the best. Great atmosphere, wonderful pub crawl, cool people, amazing location. Overall best hostel experience in Israel that I've experienced!!

Feeling like you're coming in your second home! It's the best place to stay in Tel Aviv! The hostel is really close to the center, the big streets Allenby/ Rothschild with many shops and clubs. Although near is the beach and the market, where you can by fresh fruits, meeting locals and eat handmade humus. The "Chef Hostel" has a nice garden and is very comfortable! I will come back soon! <3

Enjoyed the great hospitality of Roy in his Chef Hostel, he would take care for any questions I had concerning the hostel and the city, he offers tips and food and pub crawls and much more, which he doesn't charge you for. The small hostel is situated in the most optimal location in TLV with most important bars and clubs an restaurants all within 5min walking distance. As in any hostel all over the world, not all other guests are as quiet and respectful as you might think they should be, so make you sure to enjoy TLV night life, come back at 4am (quietly) and sleep well until late in cosy Chef Hostel :)

What an awesome hostel. Has all the amenities you may or may not need ( hair dryers, iron boards etc), nice patio to meet new friends, VERY comfortable beds. Good location if you like to party ( all the main bars are walking distance). Beach is a 10 min walk away. Very homely environment. Highly recommended!

I think Chef Montefiore Hostel is amazing! It has a great atmosphere and makes people feel at home. It is located in a great place close to bars, restaurants and pubs and clubs, everything you would need to have a night out in the city, with walking distance home! The people who works at the hostel are also amazing, the manager knows several languages and you can easily communicate with him, no matter where you are from! There is a couple of sofas, a tv and carpets on the floors, and paintings on the walls. All makes you realize you made the right decision about choosing this hostel. This is really your home away from home!

Best hostel ever. Great people, super comfortable rooms and above all an incredible outside area (with pool!) The first time I arrived I stayed about 2 months longer than planned. Then I came back a year later for an equally great time. The location is genuinely unbeatable, right in the best part of the center plus a 10 minute walk from the beach. The owner is a great chef and regularly cooks for his guests. Recommended!

Chef Hostel is a cool and clean place, close to the beach and night life area. The staff is super friendly, always ready to help you and give advise on good restaurants and bars. Their court yard is really cozy and in general the place has a great and welcomming atmosphere. Best hostel i have stayed in in Israel. The owner is cool and has a nice dog, he cooked for me and the other guests one of the nights i was there and later took us out to a local bar. Had a great time there. Thaaaanks Chef Hostel for making my stay in tel aviv so cool!
