This museum tells about the history and partly the culture of the Jews, and from different angles (music, cinema, theater, religion) and from different times. We can say that here you can see and read everything you would like to know about the Jews. Very interesting exhibits and their descriptions. Some look like full-fledged small rooms filled with "what the museum wants to show you." It was an interesting experience. P.S.: The museum is located on the territory of the "university campus", to get into it, you need to go through the checkpoint, and not look on the map for a direct entrance to the museum from the street.

A very impresive and comprehensive museum for the jewish history since the bible until today. The exhibition shows its contents in a modern and interesting way, for adults and children alike. We spent 6.5 hours as a family and could even stay longer... The heroes room is an extra charge but highly recommended for children, has lots of activities introducing important jewish figures and their work. Don't miss it if you are in the area of Tel Aviv.

I have been to the previous Diaspora Museum a few times and this is my first visit to the renovated and modernized new museum. It’s almost a brand new experience with so many interactive, hi-tech items that kids can play with. It’s so much fun and educational at the same time. The whole atmosphere is different: diverse, colorful, bright, modern, and optimistic. I love the new museum a lot more than the previous one.

The museum tells you the history of Jewish diaspora and describes Jewish contribution to world culture, as well as the state of the art of the Israeli culture. Consists of three floors focusing on different parts of the subject, it is hard to encompass all the content in one day. Contains interactive features, such as touchscreens, headphones, games. Overall very interesting, although sometimes overly sketchy. Some exhibits are no more than the info from Wikipedia. It is good that they collected it all in a nice form, but I would love to see more insights. In general, a very interesting place, I would come there again.

Interesting museum concentrating on the experience of being Jewish and the contribution of Jews to history and modern society rather than artifacts. Free guided tours in English available, check on the website. Cafe and gift shop on site

Warning: This museum is a rabbit hole - once you are in, you won‘t leave! A very good museum that presents Jewish history, cultural life and religion in a modern way. With interesting short movies, good explanations and historic artefacts. Must-see if you have the time and you are interested in Jewish culture.

A very good museum to learn more about the Jewish people. 50 NIS per person. We spent 2 to 3 hours there. Level 3 to 2 were the best. Level 1 needs a bit more work. Getting of the tickets could be faster.

Beautifully designed, very friendly and not "heavy". Great interactive displays. Lots of fun for the entire family, the kids really enjoyed it.

חוויה מדהימה, אל תחמיצו, קחו את כל המשפחה, תצאו עוד יותר גאים ושמחים בנו What an amazing experience! One day isn't enough, but it's still better than missing it! No ordinary museum. I loved the old Museum of the Diaspora, which was technologically advanced in its time in the 70s but this new Museum of the Jewish People is streets and a century ahead. Whether you're a Jew (any kind of Jew!) or not, this museum will fascinate and excite you. Easy cheap underground parking opposite. If you are able to return, a yearly subscription costs a little more than the price of two visits. On ground floor, reasonably priced Aroma cafe and gorgeous gift shop. The museum is in the Tel Aviv University Campus.

Do yourself a favor and visit this phenomenal museum if you are in Israel or in Tel Aviv as a tourist, as this is one of the highlights of my trip to Israel! I just learned that the place has been renovated and re-opened last 2021, and could probably be the reason why the museum looks very remarkable - ultra modern, spacious, eclectic, and very well-curated. I have learned more about the Jewish people of today and yesteryears, and I was surprised that some very famous people are Jewish (Einstein is Jewish :)). Plus, the in-house tour guide or staff was a phenomenal guy who can speak English very well, and his enthusiasm was enthralling. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend going to this well-invested museum. Also suitable for children but aged 10+. There are many interactive displays to connect visitors to Jewish history. Includes original items from history. You can spend a good few hours in the museum. There is parking nearby.

Brand new core exhibit! What a fantastic brand new museum. It does a wonderful job of telling the story of the Jewish people and all of their lands over the last 3,000 years. An inclusive curation of stories, from East to West and North to South, men and women: All the stories are told. Also great digital installations that help people of all ages learn!

Beautiful and very very very interesting museum. Great (especially the video) installations and explanations about the Jewish heritage and the history of the Jewish people. We really loved it and spent way more than 2 hours there. Currently bit tricky to get there due to constructions on the university campus. Make sure to search for "Gate 2" of the university campus.

The museum has a considerate although often contesting, conflicting and pretentious, content. It might be worth visiting to make up your own opinion. Hence the second star. Also, I had at first a super friendly staff welcoming, but this is probably just to charge me a quite high price of almost 15 eur. However, due to construction, arround the University campus, almost alll entrances to the University campus were closed. It took me more than an hour to reach the entrance with no clear guidance just in a hope walking on the perimeter of the campus in the 32 C hit. One group of 5 people didn't even tried finding the entrance. Phone was not answering but authomatic messages. When asked the staff if possible to use the entry ticket for the following day due to lost time, I was refused. :( So I could see only one floor from three in remaining time. Souvenirs shop and cafe closed, due to weekend. but this was comunucated on the website. So I guess you meed to take care more for the people willing to learn about your interpretation of the hystory at least providing a clear guidance for entrance and a little jesture to offer at least some compensation acvess for the time lost searching the entrance would had been a friendly jesture.

Very interesting museum about Jewish identity. 3 floors, each with a different topic. Be sure to have plenty of time to spend here, there’s a lot to see.

Fascinating (and very large) museum tackling the concept of “being Jewish”, what it means in contemporary context and through history. Some standout exhibits, some interactive ones, educational and fun for all ages. Could mystify the uninitiated.

Wow, super-interesting and engaging museum. We thought 3 hours would be enough for it, but we were wrong, so will come back. On Fridays the museum is free!

Great place to learn about Jewish traditions. Also to realize that there is black and white, and inbetween 1000s of shades of grey. Models of Synagogues, and Jewish history. This time an exhibit about Jewish humor

A must visit museum for Jewish History! This is an amazing place. You could easily spend a couple of days here, but you can get a lot out of a couple of hours as well. There are loads of videos and entertaining displays that are engaging as well as informative. These videos were created just for the museum and they really did a great job. So much to see that it is hard to summarize; everything from the ancient history through Jewish impact on modern culture and entertainment. They made history fun!

Great museum you can easily spend 2 to 3 hours immersing yourself into history of the jewish The map doesn’t have updated information on the construction going on and where exactly to enter. It took us a while walking to figure that out. However really worth going to the museum and learning

Really awesome museum for all ages. Order tickets online. Leave at least 2 hours for a quick walkthrough of the museum. Modern day information about the Jewish people is portrayed in various sections. Interactive displays and audio visuals are informative. Parking is across the street about a 5 minute walk from the entrance.

Very very interesting. Information packed. Pity that dates of death of some of the recently deceased have not been updated. Other than that, highly recommended. State of the art presentations, explanations in Hebrew and English, interactive participation for children. Loved my visit and will definitely go again

Incredibly well planned and plotted museum. I learned a ton about a topic I thought I already knew pretty well. Don't miss it if Jewish history and identity interest you.

The correct name of this museum is now ANU אנו museum of the jewish people. It has been completely renovated and proposes a very complete exhibition on the impact of the jews in various areas, on their history and traditions. One of the best museums I have ever visited.

  • 4/5 Theo C. 1 year ago on Google
There are three floors of displays in this excellent and engaging museum that look at the culture of Judaism as well as its history. We spent more than two hours there but it could easily have been longer. The cafe in the ground floor has a nice range of fresh meals and espresso coffee. The gift shop has lots of unusual, ‘classy’ items.

I enjoyed every exhibition as well as my children. The museum is very engaging and interactive. Hope I had more time to visit. It was such a beautiful experience

Nice museum, could be perfect... But then we've seen the map of Israel at an exhibit that showed the Jewish migration to the land of Israel (what the British called "Palestine-Eretz Israel"). On this map, the ❤️ of Israel is missing - Judea and Samaria regions. So I can just remind the facts to the ignorant leftists - the British mandate of Palestine included the land of Israel and transjordan; and that Balfour declaration promised to establish a home for the Jewish people in Palestine and never excluded these regions from the declaration. Millions of Olim who came here see this land as an integral part of the promised land. Shame on you, your brainwashing will never succeed.

  • 5/5 Andrey A. 2 years ago on Google
Big, modern, touch screens for kids, about many sides from history and religion to jewish humor and cuisine. My favorite was about humor as in Russia we’ve got lots of jewish stand-up mega stars since Soviet times and many of their jokes are now part of the modern language. There is the Russian part in that hall as well as US and others! Situated at Tel-Aviv university campus, the nice quite place by itself!

Excellent meuseum! Spevially recommend the "heroes" activity for children. A lot of effort has been invested to make excllent interactive games for kids and learn some history on the way.

  • 5/5 Ron F. 2 years ago on Google
I didn't enjoy so much visiting a museum for a long time. Modern, interactive and above all interesting. Very well organized exhibition that is not "too much". We spent there 5 horses and would have stayed longer if we could. A nice touch is the Aroma coffee branch in the building for a comfortable brake.

  • 4/5 David Z. 2 years ago on Google
Very interesting presentation of all aspects of Jewish history and culture up to current times. I recommend a quick guided tour which covers the entire museum in quick time and then going back to exhibits you liked for more detail.

Was surprised how well this went with the kids. I was slightly skeptical this would interest my children, but it worked largely by some very clever interactive displays. Parking (paid) - not a problem. Kosher restaurants can be found on the university campus.
