A great place to spend a couple of hours. Can’t go wrong with fascinating tales about ancient history and being at the actual story location. Entry is ₪22 per adult. Not too bad for seeing actual ancient ruins. They offer guided tours (I believe at 11:30), but we got there too early for that. The grounds are kept clean and tidy. They have actors role playing. Cute. The only thing that I could complain about was that they don’t offer vegan food or drink options and the gift shop isn’t very imaginative. Also, I wish they’d have more shaded seating areas. It’s a place to be reached by vehicle only. I wouldn’t attempt walking to Apollonia. It’s a crusade. The site is located next to a real nice beach, so bring your bathing suit.

All in all this is a very nice place, especially if you read background information before you go there. I went there with my family and friends, told them about the background, which my son love and the rest of family less :) Told the kids stories about the birth of Apollo and how he came to be. I told them about Reshef, the Phoenician God of fire (and how it was mixed with Apollo). The kids and let's face it, men, love the ruins and the weapons and to imagine how stuff worked. You can also find scattered around the remains of many urns and other clay tools. Please enjoy them and take a picture of them, but don't take them. Leave them where you've found them. If everyone would have taken away, there will be nothing left. I enjoyed because I love history and ruins. My kids loved it because of the ruins and the sea and the stories. Go there if you love history, or ruins of old forts, or just stories (those you'll have to prepare for yourself).

Place with an extraordinarily rich history. I advise to go here in the middle of the week. Saturday was crowded and hard to find parking. Lots to see and a nice path to walk on. Worth a visit.

Pretty national park in the middle of the country. Accessible by car, and even by bicycle or bus (can't say that about many national parks). Sadly, while the area is vast, there's not really much to see. The crusader's fortress is the only significant structure still standing (speaking as a tourist & parent, not as an archeologist or scholar). Kids had a good time exploring the place and enjoying the fresh air and view of the sea.

Absolutely beautiful! Great view near the sea. Although there isn’t much shade, it’s a very pleasant walk in spring under the warm sunshine with breeze from the sea. Easy parking. Need a car to get there.

Definitely a must-see attraction in the Herzliya area. Plenty of ancient history, beautiful views from the top, woven in some fun activities for the kids but enjoyable for adults too. Catapult demonstration is kind of interesting. Lots of different walking paths to spend time on different paths. Plenty of shaded spots with tables for picnics, water fountains, and restrooms as well. Entrance fee is reasonable and the sunsets are amazing. Access via foot path is not bad, walked up from the city center (Acadia beach) via the trail/community roads along the coastline.

We enjoy a lot, this is a very nice place to walk and spend about 2 hours. Recommend to start the tour in the afternoon at about 16:00, to see the sunset. Don't forget to wear a hat and drink a lot of water...

This is a beautiful place and a massive piece of history. Apollonia has a great history from the Persian period, it changed its name several times after conquering and it was finally destroyed by the Mamluks. It’s pleasant to walk because the view is stunning. Get ready for at least a couple of hours there

A well designed and maintained national park with ruins of a crusader fort and sea port. The various archaeological relics, some dating back to the Phoenicians, are accompanied by informative plaques. The site offers beautiful views of the coast and sea as well as local animal and plant wildlife.

A short drive from Tel Aviv and you are in this magnificent place. With Crusader fortress– construction is dated to 1241, and its destruction to 1265, when the city was captured by the Mameluke Sultan Baibars. There is a very nice trail next to the sea with views. Winter and spring are best time to visit as you have a lot of green around.

Very nice site, with amazing view and interesting history. It can get extremely hot, so I suggest visiting either very early or the latest hour possible. We arrived at 15.45, just a few minutes before entry is closed, and had a great time. The young ranger activity for kids is a nice addition, and worth the additional cost

Perfect all year long. Even in winters (as you can see in my pictures from a rainy day). Guides are kind, the scenery is amazing and the place is well kept. If you have Matmon (מטמון) card/you're a soldier the entrance is free.

Lovely place for travalening, breathing good air of the sea and watching beautiful landscapes. In addition you can watch a real piece of history and old structures from the past of Israel. There is also parking place and a small capiteria at the entrance.

The landscape embraces your soul. This place is witness of History's centuries, you are able to be transported in the Cruzader era, easily It's unbelievable that so many battles occurred in this place in which you breathe so much peace mixed with the breeze from the sea . Nature and history are met in this place with the Mediterranean sea as the eternal witness...

Very nice, well-kept and maintained place, large free parking, paved and paved paths between the historic sites, there are seating and rest areas, training points all around. A historical site from the time of the Crusaders and Muslims, in place of signage that explains and describes the history of the place.

One of my favorite National Parks in Israel. It is located only a 30 minute drive from Tel Aviv and makes a great spot for a picnic. It is family friendly and has remains of a Roman villa, a fortress & Byzantine glass kilns. Have fun!

One of the most beautiful places in Israel, a short 20 minutes drive from Tel Aviv. Easy had shaded parking, cheap entrance ticket, and accessibility impeccable. The kids loved it, it was not packed with tourists (we were there on Saturday) , and the view... Not enough words to describe it. I have lived in Israel for 14+ years and was stunned.

A national park with ancient crusaders Fortress ruins. The history goes way back to Persian (sixth century BCE), but nevermind, it will be intriguing only if you are an archeological enthusiast. Tha Park has beautiful flowers with the wonderful view next to the sea. There aren't many shaded area, so plan accordingly. We spent some two hours, but one hour is sufficient to cover from the entrance till the Fortress. Ample parking space. Just outside the parking, there is a shady place for BBQ and picnic. And there were prototypes of ancient War instruments like catapult, don't miss it. There is s small souvenir shop.

What a great place to visit. It's a small national park with s small ruin of a beautiful crusader castle overlooking a breathtaking view of the sea. The park has a circular path and one can walk slowly and see the whole place in an hour or less, but it's worth exploring slowly, it's mostly quiet and will few visitors so if you are lucky you feel you have the place to yourself. The downside is that there are few places with shade and at the time of our visit the signs with information were few and in poor condition.

Incredible view of the Mediterranean. The park has an interesting history. It's a short walk to see everything so it's perfect for families and is accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. Afterwards you can head down to the beach. There is a house built close by using sustainable and recycled materials called Nissim's house. Also Sidni Ali Mosque is close.

Wonderful and relaxing view of the Mediterranean sea. Just pick your favourite bench and prepare yourself for hours of sea saring if the weather is nice. The arciological part is also of a much interest. Especially the crusaders' castle, located on the top of cliff, the just above the sea.
