Interesting to see the place that was written about in the New Testament. Seeing the Olive trees and the garden gives you perspective and allows you take thoughts back to the time when Jesus walked in Jerusalem. The garden is not that big. There are crowds that are there as it is very popular. There are plenty of photo opportunities. Its a must stop in Jerusalem if you prefer to walk in the footsteps of Jesus.

Again this is one place that you CANNOT miss on your trip to Israel. It's where JESUS sweated blood- because HE knew the immense suffering (the Cup of Suffering) HE was about to endure. JESUS CHRIST was praying to HIS FATHER & the Disciples kept falling asleep & HE asked them could you not stay & pray with me even for one hour? Very significant place at these 2000 year old Olive trees. 🫒

Beautiful garden and church. Very spiritual place to visit. To imagine that Jesus Christ set foot on this place before his crucifixion is very humbling. Take the time to absorb the wonder and significance of this place. A must visit for Christians coming to Jerusalem.

The perspective you get of the Garden and the Beautiful Gate really puts Jesus betrayal night into perspective. The Garden is beautiful and the love trees look absolutely ancient!

There is no way to explain how standing, praying and worshipping in the place where Jesus prayed before his betrayal makes you feel. Knowing he was praying for strength to be our sacrifice to save us. It’s amazing. A must for any Christian to visit.

This place is located on the property of All Nations church. The trees aren’t old enough to have witnessed the agony of Christ that night he was arrested as the guide in the church reads. The foot of the mount of Olives is quit large so how do they know this is the exact location anyways. Also the garden is gated and tourist try reaching over the gate to steal olive branches from the trees. To me this is a shrine, didn’t feel holy at all. If you would like to go to a place that is more like what the garden would have been like and gives you freedom to walk around and enjoy, plus has a great view of the Temple Mount and old city, go up the hill to Dominus Flevit Church. It was much more peaceful there.

You can almost feel the pain and anguish as Christ ponders his own death before hand. A great place to pray or for atheist and non Christians reflect on the valuable culture he spawned.

What is there to say...this place speaks for itself. Seeing this brings to life the Bible. I could envision Jesus with His disciples. From here you can see the gate Jesus walked through on his triumphal entry. Beautiful ancient trees, possibly here when Jesus was. Powerful place to visit.

This private garden area, with its view of Jerusalem, provides a poignant perspective on its biblical importance. The Barluzzi architecture of the church is somber with a touch of hope. Amazing when you compare/contrast with his Church of the Transfiguration.

The garden is beautiful and peaceful. The church next to the garden has the rock where Jesus Christ cried before He got arrested. It is powerful.

Such a powerful and important place to visit. The trees are the monuments... among a city of stones, this is where the land tells a story that is timeless. Lovely to visit, make sure you catch the “peace” tree. It can be absolutely crowded, but it is still worth the visit.

Visit the church of all nations where you can see and touch the rock of agony where Jesus prayed to his Father. Spend some time in the garden and reflect on the fact that this is the location where our Salvation was guaranteed because Jesus conformed to the will of His Father. Take a look at the 2000 year old olive tree too!

Amazing! Are you in pain, attempting to follow God, or making a big decision? Here is where Jesus wrestled in meditation before deciding to bear the Cross! Make sure to visit the adjacent grotto church!

Such a remarkable experience being able to see so many things that Jesus saw. We had an amazing mass and shared prayer on the stone that he once prayed on.

Gethsemane is a garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem where, according to the four Gospels of the New Testament, Jesus underwent the agony in the garden and was arrested before his crucifixion. It is a place of great resonance in Christianity. The source was wiki. According to the holy Bible It is a place where "his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground." Moreover this place has several olive groves, though not any from Jesus's time but quite old trees like 100 years.

A short visit to this place is definitely a must. Walking around the outside of the garden allows for reflection. The church onsite was busy when we arrived but nice nonetheless.

Very peaceful place. Was blessed to be here. The olive trees in the garden are more than 2000 years old. The rock inside the church is the exact spot where Jesus Christ prayed before he was crucified.

Amazing garden where Jesus of Nazareth prayed before being crucified. Beautiful ancient olive trees, though none are old enough to have been there with Jesus.

The Church of All Nations, also known as the Church or Basilica of the Agony, is a Roman Catholic church located on the Mount of Olives in East Jerusalem, next to the Garden of Gethsemane. It enshrines a section of bedrock where Jesus is said to have prayed before his arrest

A very peaceful and calm peace, worth visiting. This is the place where our Saviour Jesus Christ prayed in deep agony before being killed on the cross for our sins. Admission is free.

The Garden of Gethsemane was cool in the fact that Jesus hung out there and there are some olive trees believed to be from his time. However, like everywhere else in Jerusalem it was wall to wall people, I'm talking shoulder to shoulder. There is a private garden across the street that you can schedule to visit, limited people makes it much more serine. Cool church on the property too. Overall I'd say do it.

There are still 8 olive trees here from Jesus's time. This is the place where Jesus prayed after the Last Supper & before His arrest by the Roman soldiers. The Church is very beautiful & has wonderful acoustics

Beautiful? I'm told. Tranquil? It is said. Closed? Definitely. Why is this outdoor space closed? No posted hours, not even on church website.

Lovely tranquil & biblical garden setting with ancient olive trees. Adjacent to the Church of all nations. A serene and calming space at the base of the mount of olives.

Beautiful Olive Tree garden outside the historic Church of all Nations near the Mount of Olives. The garden is filled with ancient olive trees and is a place of peace and rest. The garden is at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem where, according to the four Gospels of the New Testament, Jesus underwent the agony in the garden and was arrested before his crucifixion. Breathtaking location in Israel.

I was privileged to have done a Holy Hour with several pilgrimage groups from different countries in the Church of All Nations on the Mount of Olives next to the gardens at Gethsemane. The Church is built around the rock where Jesus prayed before his arrest. The olive trees in the garden looked otherworldly with misty clouds in the background. This was truly a wonderful evening.
