Ran Morin (born 1958) is an Israeli artist, known for his statues involving full-sized living trees. Much of his work is found in Israel, notably the Floating Orange Tree located in the city streets of old Jaffa. Quite a sight with a suspended tree hanging by steel wire. Make sure you check out the Smiling Whale Fountain and the Artist's home and Museum! Ilana Goor Museum is just around the corner. Don’t forget to look up, and see the patio chairs climbing out the upper window! A beautiful piece of artwork in an equally impressive area. It might on the face of it look basic and simple, but once you’ve taken a moment to properly admire you realise the beauty. If you’re in the area you must see this.🫰🏻🫰🏻

The name speaks for itself… This tree is here to remind us of the origin of the Jaffa orange, which originated and grew in that area.

Nice enough work of art if you happen to stop by reflecting on the orchards once in the area.

The story of artist, not about the history of Israel. But just can acknowledge how many talent artists here in Jaffa. The tree does not have earth to grow but with the given water from the pipe.

Real orange tree grown on a pot like structure suspended by means of three metal cables. And it is watered via small tube.

Very interesting place, a lot of art nearby. You can visit Ilana Goor museum and walk the surrounding area. It is worth it. Some historical information can be found on the boards.

Suspended orange tree was created in 1993 by Israeli sculptor. Full size living orange tree that is elevated off of the ground by a large earthenware jug, hung by metal chains from the walls of houses nearby. Very famous spot for tourists to visit after interesting walk in old city Jaffa with a lot of historical places and Abrasha park. Very recommended to come and enjoy the atmosphere around.

Interesting sight of a hanging citrus tree, the fruits look more like lime to me :) Quite a sight with a suspended tree hanging by steel wire. Enjoy the sight.

Very cool art installation blending the new with the old right outside old Jaffa. Sharing a picture of the information plaque as others have shared multiple photos of the tree. This tree is definitely a fun point of interest!

So much history to experience. I would definitely recommend hiring a good guide to feel the history of the old town Jaffa.

One of the touristic spots is the orange tree, but nothing else to do here, just take pictures and go on into the old city of Jaffa.

It doesn't touch the ground at all! Very Dali-esque
