Very clean and well maintained place. Above all, the location is absolutely ideal for any tourist. The Old City, the market, the tram station, the bus station are all within walking distance. But while in a hostel, be ready to see some weird people on your dorms.

The place was so clean and the room was bright and fun. Has all the amenities of a regular hotel. We also met fun people. Mor at the front desk and the guy who checked us in were very nice. The bartenders were amazing!

Amazing all around EXCEPT for significant mould in showers (mixed dorm, room 202). I mentioned the issue to reception at least three times over the course of our 8 day stay but nothing was done. I found this very disappointing, especially considering the cleaners came in daily to clean the room and toilet. They completely disregarded the shower, where there was mould on all walls, ceiling and even the door. I should have taken photos - it was very, very bad and Iā€™ve never seen anything like it throughout my extensive travels. The hostel was otherwise fantastic. Itā€™s in a great location and I felt completely safe. They have great activities and there is a sense of community.

Located in the Davidka square, it is a great place to stay when you are visiting Jerusalem. The rooms are clean. There is a lounge and bar area where you can chill and have food. There are options of carrying your own food and keeping it in their fridge if you want to. But the breakfast provided by them is great and you can try it since it's value for money, fresh and delicious. Breakfast is available from 7-10 in the lounge area and checkout time is 11 A.M.

We stayed in the premium room with private bathroom. The experience was very similar to a hotel one, but with a more chilled and young atmosphere. The breakfast is great (a big variety of food is in the buffet). They changed our towels and tidy room and sheets everyday. The guy at the reception was very nice and welcoming. I recommend this hostel

The point of my review is that I want to say thank you to your staff in Jerusalem. They are not only accommodating to the daily activities of the hostel, they are really wonderful folks. They field questions about politics, culture, religious and ancient history non-stopā€¦ and they do it with an incredible attitude that is both professionally and vulnerably despite the stress it puts on them as individuals at times. Which for me, was the best part of my stay. The tour to the West Bank was truly the experience of a lifetime. The guides were world class. I appreciated them and their thoughts. The best part for me way the visiting of the separation wall. That struck me deeply as a reality of the daily life in Bethlehem. Anyways, thank you for cultivating some of the best moments of my time visiting Jerusalem. *The food, community atmosphere, and cleanliness was great. I had a couple mouth breathers in the dorm, but nothing a good pair of ear plugs couldnā€™t handle! Overall, great stay! I highly recommend this hostel to give you the best experience possible in Jerusalem as a backpacker or on a family holiday!

Had an excellent time staying at the hostel. Staff were interesting to talk to and I made friends with other travelers. Excellent value for price, I will definitely stay at Abraham hostels again. The art on the walls is also great.

I only stayed for one night on a private room with my mom and my sister and everything was great. The staff was really friendly and we had a great time over there. Everything was super clean and smelled good. If i ever came back to Jerusalem i would keep on mind to come back to this Hostel. Also we took a tour from Jerusalem for 2 day to Petra with Abraham Tours (from the hostel) and it was AMAZING. You should do that but my experience would be in another comment.

Very accommodating to any issues, we had a issue with a drainage smell from the bathroom in our booked room, after bringing this up and was investigated, our rooms were changed without debate. Very friendly and welcoming staff and overall lovely vibe of the hostel. Not to mention the Abraham Sunrise Tour that we booked which was an amazing experience, with a great tour guide that was very informative and just as friendly.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast and the communal areas. The vibe here is just so welcoming and easy. The only downside was our room location which was right by the stairs to the rooftop and above the communal lounge which meant it was rather noisy on days with live music.

Great location to see old town. Great location near bus and train station. Friendly vibe in common areas, though due to rain outside areas not as usable and inside a little crowded. Loved the art through out the whole hostel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately WiFi needed to be reconnected often. Thinking too many users for bandwidth. But decent speed when connected. Great evening programs. Enjoyed all my tours as well

The service was the best! Friendly and helpful! Tour was fantastic. My 3 time staying there, you canā€™t beat the location Room was a bit noise bc of traffic - window was old and got damped while it rained but ac/heater in room took care of those.

Inexpensive but serves the purpose, feels like home with an open kitchen and dining room 24/7. You will never miss home. Healthy breakfast is served to prepare the guests for the day. Luv you all Abraham hostel staffs, you are all amazing, no exemption. Thank you always for the time to help us with our tour.

What a cool place. We stayed with our family of 5 and everyone loved it. Great location, reception was awesome, good breakfast, rooms were nice and the price was right! Take their tours and enjoy all their evening activities in the lounge.

I visited this hostel three times in my two weeks vacation so I had the chance to see three different rooms. The first one was a four bed room with a lot of space, a fridge and also a nice corner to chill. The second room (eight beds) was right next to the main street so it was very loud in the night. And the third room (also four beds but just two bunk beds and a chair inside the room) was extremely cold by night. I think the differences of the rooms are quiet big so that's why I can't go for five stars. In total the rooms are okay but nothing special. If you only need your bed for sleeping, it's okay. But be aware, nights could be a little cold if you're in the wrong room and don't want the air conditioner heating the whole night. Beside of the rooms, everything is quiet amazing in this hostel. The included breakfast is all vegetarian and there are also many options for vegan people like me. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The lobby is cozy and there are many thinks to do. You can chill at the bar, read books or play games from the shelf, play billiard or just hanging around in some hanging chairs. All together I definitely would recommend this hostel if you're looking for a nice place in Jerusalem!

Very excellent accommodation ,as a mature married man I didn't know if it would work but am happy to say it did spent 8 nights here while visiting all the Holy sites around Jerusalem. The staff are amazing , felt at home with a great family atmosphere. Can definitely recommend this hostel.

Well run, clean, great service. I've met and then traveled with others who were staying at Abraham Hostel at the same time. Fun. Worth it. I always - over multiple trips to Israel - sleep in the dorm rooms, 4-, 6-, 10-bed rooms. I haven't had a problem sleeping. The roommates have been respectful and helpful.

We had an amazing stay in Abraham Jerusalem. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and they really helped us feel at home. The location is great- easy walking distance to the market and lots of bars and restaurants and also near to the tram which is great for the station and the old town. The bar/lounge area was great for meeting people and relaxing after a busy day of sightseeing. It had been a few years since either of us had stayed in a hostel but we were so glad we did and it really meant we got the best out of our time there

Good hostel! Breakfast was good, the rooms were OK as well. Some amazing staff, unfortunately also some that are a bit unfriendly at the reception. Hummus workshop is really recommended!

I stayed here twice in 30 days. First for a night and then for 4 nights. I got a private room both times. After my first stay I was told via email I would get a returning customer discount. So I asked about the discount when I came back. They told me they couldnā€™t honor my discount. Then after a night of sleeping I noticed my blanket was dirty and had a brownish stain on it. When I told reception, they told me the blanket was clean, it just had a permanent stain. So they got a me a new blanket with a a smaller stain. šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø I also had BBQ on the roof top one night. I would highly recommend you stay away from the BBQ. My kebabs werenā€™t even cooked all the way. The only saving grace is the daily breakfast. The breakfast is amazing actually. But I wouldnā€™t recommend you stay somewhere else!!

Great hostel!!! The staff is extremely helpful and the hostel runs the best tours for Jerusalem and surrounding areas. The rooftop is a great place for meeting people. Free traditional Israeli breakfast that is tasty. Very positive experience!

  • 5/5 Richard B. 9 months ago on Google
This is a wonderful hostel that provides the opportunity to meet large numbers of people from around the world in a convivial setting including the roof-top terrace. The breakfast banquet provides a substantial start to the day. The tours are well-priced and expertly conducted and in the evening there are the bars and often live music. All facilities are well-maintained and the under bed locker draws provide a secure place to store everything

The best hostel in Jerusalem! It is located close to the city centre (walking distance), easily accessible from the train station as well by tram. The decoration is unique and pleasant, I really liked the rooms and shared spaces. There's a huge sitting and social area on the rooftop. The dining room is also great and the breakfast is fantastic with home made salads, humus, cakes, dishes and condiments, coffee, tea etc. There are organised events for free every night, where you can socialise and have entertainment. The hostel also has a good variety of daily excursions to different locations. We went on a dead sea trip and it was a good experience and a very comfortable solution. One more thing: this place is safe for single lady travellers, because there's a strict no harassment policy in place. The staff members were outstanding. Friendly and helpful all the time with everyone. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone who visits Jerusalem.

Great place to stay with a sense of community. The breakfast and coffee is great. Location is easy to get to. They offer hummus making workshops, rooftop BBQ, shabbat dinners and other events. Really great place. I can recommend it even for an older couple. The private rooms are big enough šŸ‘šŸ‘

My first hostel experience! Very clean, hygienic, eclectic vibe from a very diverse crowd, fantastic breakfast spread, loads of activities and fun staff. Loved my stay and had a great time making friends. This was my first solo trip and I had a great time.

The facilities are great here! The rooftop bar area and the lounge are great places to chill or to have Lunch/dinner. It is a little far to walk to the old city for most but there is a tram stop just around the corner which takes about 10 mins to reach the old city. The beds in the dorms could be more private with a curtain but they are also comfortable.

  • 5/5 Anna M. 7 months ago on Google
Rooms were great, staff was incredibly welcoming and nice. The evenings at the hostel were always amazing (especially the rooftop is worth spending time at). This is an amazing place for exchange and meeting new people. Definitely worth staying at and recommending!

It was great to share in Israel's culture with Abraham and family; We had a great time! Beds were comfortable, nice showers, Great breakfast; Great family atmosphere!! Any problem I had was drowned out by the 98 percent hospitality shoen to us, No matter where we go, there is always someone on the hospitality team that seemingly has a bad day, or week, that is portrayed to the guests; Sad, but true; It is a wonderful place to say in Israel, with great location We would stay again !

Wonderfully located and very comfortable too. Good service and a brilliant breakfast! The only improvement point is cleaning of the shower in the room. I've stayed for 9 days and the pile of hair on the floor of the bathroom just got bigger every day.

It's an amazing hostel, the staff is very kind and offer all the information needed, the rooms are very well equipped, the services they have exceeded what I expected, the lounges, the rooftop, coffee station, the bathrooms, the attention through whatsapp. The facilities are great and comfortable, the atmosphere is enjoyable. ItĀ“s a great place to relax and meet new people.

We had great exp staying at Abraham's hostel. We stayed in superior room. The room was clean and was not small as sometimes you get in hostels. Air condition worked perfect. Location is awesome ! We walked to Mahne Yehuda market, the western wall and old city. We didn't need any transportation. Breakfast was awesome also. We will definitely visit again. Next time we will come with kids and take the family room.

Great place for a great price, even for Israeli citizens, I came in on May 6, and left today, on may 9. The main reason that it's not five stars, is the Wi-Fi speed, at the lobby in the night (close to the main router) it was maximum 7 Megabit, which is extremely frustrating if I wanted to use it, however, my phone's internet speed there was decent. (max 50 Megabit, at 37 ILS a month). I was solo, in room 110 (I got upgraded from 10 people per room to 4, for free) at the cheapest price for three days then. (about 75 ILS per night, including the 17% VAT in Israel, without a code, it was the first time I was there). The rooftop was especially beautiful during the night and the day. I don't drink alcoholic drinks or smoke, but I am sure it is a great place to do both. (obviously smoking on the rooftop and outside). The bar was great looking, and all the people who work there were nice.

Great place, and our one-night stay was definitely not enough to enjoy it in full. We'll come back as soon as we can! The only problem were some guys on a rooftop across the street, who went partying into the night and made quite a noise. However, it's not the hotel's fault...

I loved it there, the people were really nice. The living room with the bar and the games was great. I wanna say the the price is very expensive for a hostel and the furniture is very old in the rooms. Iā€™ve also expected a better breakfast. But still, I recommend, the reception guys were really nice and the place is very quiet. šŸ™‹šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

One of the best hostels I ever stayed at. I stayed in a 6 people dorm and it was cleaned everyday, plus had spacious shower and bathroom in the room as well as spacious lockers, full body mirror and big windows. The staff is very very friendly and you have towels and sheets included plus you can get free maps and earplugs and free tea with fresh mint in the kitchen. The common rooms are beautiful and warm and the kitchen is always clean. One time they had food leftover from a tour of the hostel and offered it to everyone, which was very sweet I think. In general the Place is very spacious and you have lots of Space to feel like home with a made bed when you arrive, clean rooms and common showers and toilets and lovely staff and great breakfast !

Abraham Hostel is amazing! It has a fun environment and great places to hang out, and it is also clean. The staff are friendly, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast is delicious! Its location is great and the staff were helpful with whatever questions I had. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to Jerusalem!

We stayed in Abraham Hostel Jerusalem last May 2-4, 2022 and it was indeed a good place to stay. The staff are very kind and helpful. The location is perfect! The rooms are quite small compared to other hostels. The facility is nice and clean. They have alots of fun events almost every night and the surrounding is really fun. It was indeed a good place to stay. Would definitely go back.

Very nice hostel with private rooms and shared rooms. Several common areas for relaxing, playing games, cooking, eating, etc. There are many activities hosted by the hostel such as parties, crafts, dance class, etc. The location is awesome. Very close walk to Old City Jerusalem (Jaffa Gate is closest), and the area surrounding the hostel is ideal and very safe. There are restaurants, shops, pharmacy, market, convenience stores all around the hostel. The bus stops in front of the hostel, and the tram stops 1/2 block away. Truly the location canā€™t be beat! Staying at Abraham Hostel has been one of the best travel experiences of my life. I have met people from all over the world and made some great friends!

Best. Stay. Ever! It was my first time visiting Jerusalem and my first time staying in a hostel abroad. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and very well kept. I met amazing people! I had a blast - would 1000% recommend this to anyone thinking of visiting Jerusalem :)

We had a really nice time in Abraham Jerusalem, the beds were comfortable and breakfast was simple but delicious. Itā€™s near Central Station and the light rail passes beside the Hostel - you can easily get anywhere in the city. The guys working at the reception were really nice and helpful. I think they could improve the bathrooms inside the dorms, theyā€™re really really small and uncomfortable. Wifi works well and itā€™s really fast. Youā€™ll get to meet a lot of people and have fun. Canā€™t wait to come back there.

My stay at the Abraham hostel was beyond amazing! In the heart of Jerusalem near all the amazing sites and cafes. The energy and vibe of the hostel was insane and I couldnā€™t recommend it more. The rooms were great and the staff were amazing. Orel made us all feel at home and I will definitely be coming back.

  • 4/5 A R. 1 year ago on Google
Incredible staff, fun welcoming atmosphere, bright colors and lots of activities. Why 4 stars instead of 5? The rooms aren't always perfectly clean (stray hairs and dust in corners/on shelves - that sort of thing). Also, management, please add some gluten-free options when you offer breakfast or other foods to your guests! Overall, though, what you get for the price, I can't really complain.
