We came there to celebrate our anniversary, and the staff weren't polite or nice. The entire stay the feeling was that we're 'bothering' them, and they weren't helpful at all, even not when we asked basic stuff/questions ((for example didn't give us a wine opener etc.). The room was OK, nothing special. I'd recommend to go to other hotels near by.

The hotel staff and manager are insanely rude, treating customers with plain disrespect, talking about other clients publicly, and show zero willingness to assist. It’s like being a paying customer is a nuisance to them. The room was very small, with a tiny window which did not open. Go somewhere else. This place does not deserve your money.

Checking in was more that great; all 3 workers at front desk gave us assistant needed by us after a long trip. Manager on site Gili; added a super amazing touch to all already received at front desk. Breakfast is incredible good. All personnel at breakfast area super polite with outstanding service. Location cannot be better. For those looking to hear about facility cleaning like us; is it clean. General atmosphere at the hotel. Thank you so much.

Lovely hotel, very clean and high maintenance and perfect location just 300 meter walking distance from the Beach. The breakfast was perfect!

A lovely hotel! The staff is pleasant and helpful. The room, although small, was just the right size for a couple, with all the amenities. Everything was clean, comfortable and very aesthetic. Our stay included breakfast, which was fantastic. The location is perfect, especially for beach-goers. We will definitely be returning!

Pros Great location, close to the sea and to the centre of the city. Modern, well made hotel, everything working, clean and new. Helpful and very friendly staff. Good toiletries - Molton Brown, good linen, but mattresses are a bit hard. I doubt I would come back. Good shower room. Breakfast is not orthodox kosher - there is meat and cheese. Opened from 7 to 10, but only from 8 on Saturday. Cons Rooms are small, windows are smaller than you would expect and you can’t open them, because you would need a key. Why it is done - interesting question to the management. The aircon works strangely. if you put any temperature below 24 it blows same constant cold. if you put 24 it works as ventilation. There is no auto mode. The restaurant does not belong to the hotel. so you have fancy breakfast, but not lunch and not dinner unless you book days in advance. The service at breakfasts is not professional enough for the pretended level. Example - there is a buffet, but for bread you have to ask and the basket is the same for 4 people as for one person. The selection of bread they do for you is random, though actual bread is good. I wonder why they would not just let you take bread you want. No parking, but there is reasonable good parking in 5 min walk

Located in the very heart of Tel Aviv, 1 block away from the beach but quiet location, Mendeli Street Hotel is definitely a perfect choice. My room #312 was comfortable with good bedding and cool bathroom amenities. Breakfast and dinner experience is amazing. Probably one of the best buffet breakfasts I have experienced. Staff very friendly. Thanks to manager Gili and her team

I add a star for the breakfast served at Mashia. The room itself is OK, we actually got upgraded to the superior room and found wine and chocolate in the room which was very nice. The main drawback was the which had shower this annoying behavior where once every few minutes the water pressure would go down and the water would cool for about 10 seconds before going back to normal. That can really ruin a good hot shower. Location is pretty great by the beach and restaurants. I'd especially recommend the Imperial cocktail bar nearby.

Great hotel with newly renovated rooms that are spacious and very clean. I really like this hotel. Their breakfast which is included with your stay is also very good. But I wish they made the breakfast more of a buffet style then the restaurant style they have.

If I could give more than 5 star, I would! Honestly cannot emphasise enough how amazing everything was in this hotel. The location of the hotel, absolutely amazing. The room was good size, not big, but it’s a boutique hotel and you are in tel Aviv! You’re not meant to stay in the room anyway :) . The breakfast? Oh wow. Just wow. Amazing. And very very friendly staff! We had an amazing time.

THIS PLACE IS SOOOOO GROSS AND DIRTY. The pictures make it seem much nicer than the rooms actually are. They were dusty and gross

Fridge didn't work and room too small, only good thing was the location. Some of the staff, not just one person are not simple rude, very rude. Breakfast starts at 8:00am on weekdays and 9:00am on weekends, unacceptable.

Terrible front desk service. We were not aware that checkout was at 12:00. After working until late and again in the morning, unable to rest. When I told the lady at the front desk I was not aware of the hour, her professional reply was "Well now you know. Please get out of room." I came down and asked if this was a general policies in the city, the answer was "I do not know any other hotels." Do not recommend.

Still my favorite Hotel in the City (4th stay). Great location, clean and big room (superior room), fabulous breakfast (included) and outstanding attentive service. Especially to mention is the fierce Manager Gili for helping us to make the stay beyond next level. See you next year

Another amazing stay comes to an end. Everything was fabulous as always. Many thanks Gili for the outstanding hospitality. This is my new home in Tel Aviv. Great room, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and the best location in town. It fits my swiss Standards.

Nice hotel close to the beach. Rooms are relatively small. There is not much room for the luggage. But the room and the bathroom were clean and functional. The breakfast was great. Fresh food and a good variation of cooked eggs. The staff was friendly. 👍

Best weekend ever!!! Best location in the middle of all the action in Tel Aviv. After traveling in Different hotels in Eilat , Jerusalem and north, we find this very unique boutique hotel the best!! Great price with best service !! From the smallest details as towels ,drinks and ice cream for the kids for the beach to the very acoomodating , clean and comfortable sheets ever in a hotel in Israel!! We are constantly approached by the staff making sure we are okay and have all our needs. Thank you Mendeli team for making this weekend so memorable !! We can’t wait to be back!!!

Our experience with the Mendeli street hotel was just perfect! The crew was soooo nice and helpful always smiling and kind! The room is great and modern (we came with a baby and there was still plenty of space). we received treats from the moment we arrived until check out (fruit plate, chocolate, beach blanket and the surprises kept coming). The breakfast is of course AMAZING being in Mashia restaurant. Definitely best vacation ever. Thank you!! We will come again soon!!

I booked a superior room for EUR 250 a night for a business trip. Unfortunately the room was very small, dark, not clean and the furniture needed maintenance. The receptionist told me that they don’t have any other rooms available and that I can check out and get a full refund. It’s been over 3 (!) weeks and multiple phone calls and I still did not receive a refund. I don’t recommend this hotel at all. Very unprofessional.

Definitely a hidden gem! we came from the states and so far it’s the only hotel that gave us the same Ambience and hospitality like we used to get from home. Great Ambience, very clean, great customer service. will be back!

It is the third time we took the Mendeli Hotel. The boss doesn’t give us a later checkout whereas my wife is pregnant and we have a night flight. I don’t recommend this hotel at all !!! It seems good hotel but the boss is so disrepectful. Take another hotel cheaper it will be better !!!

Loved it. The location is great and the atmosphere is very nice. Clean, quiet and trendy. The breakfast is superb. Keep in mind that the standard rooms are *very* small, so consider upgrading.

Very much enjoyed staying at Mendeli Street Hotel, the staff was kind and accommodating and the restaurant was excellent (absolutely loved the breakfast!). Location is ideally located near beach, restaurants and shops (TLV is a tiny city anyway). Rooms are quite small and could use new window shades (they don’t quite open all the way so sometimes feels like being in a box) but they are clean and the shower was lovely. Recommend!

Clean hotel. Good location. Friendly staff. Gym is lacking equipment for those that don’t just use free weights or do cardio. Rooms are small and I wish there was a better desk working space. Amenities are nice - shampoo etc. breakfast was a great spread, but may be difficult for most Americans to enjoy.

Great hotel: clean, comfortable and modern rooms (standard room is small, for whom it's important). The breakfast is huge and delicious. The same place turns into a vibrant restaurant during the day and evenings, making this place even lovelier. Location is great, close to the beach and shopping streets, as well as other restaurant/bar streets. Great value for money 👍

READ MY REVIEW THEN YOU DECIDE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. IT HAS AMONG THE BEST RESTAURANT & AMAZING BREAKFAST IN TELAVIV. THE HOTEL ROOM IS OK BUT NOT THE BEST. THE POSITIVE ▪ITS RESTAURANT. ▪WELL SITUATED, WALKING DISTANCE TO BEACH/ RESTAURANT/ 24 HOURS SUPERMARKET. ▪DECENT SIZE ROOM WITH THE RIGHT AMENITIES. ▪ENGLISH TV CHANNELS THE NEGATIVE ▪THE SO CALL CURTAIN WHICH DOES NOT COMPLETELY BLOCK LIGHT COMING IN.

While the hotel boasts a good location, I found the staff to be inconsistent in their friendliness. Reading through other comments, it seems I'm not the only one who felt this way. There were instances where greetings were not reciprocated by the manager or front desk staff. Additionally, when I inquired about the complimentary water in the room, some staff members reacted with laughter which I found to be unprofessional. I was also disappointed during breakfast when, despite seeing several available tables, I was told they were reserved but remained unoccupied throughout. When asked about more water in the room and if we could buy, they said that they already gave 2 as we were not allowed to be thirsty again. After conplaint, they brought us water (ps: i called service room number on the phone in the room. What should service room be for?). Clearly there are preferences of treatment that should be addressed urgently. The hotel manager interrupted me twice while I was speaking to the staff, clearly a sign of disrespect. I hope the hotel management addresses these concerns for a better guest experience in the future. Definitely not a recommended hotel.
