Stay away from this hotel if possible. Outdated overpriced rooms (falling apart) Poor service No parking Yes, there is a pool on the roof, but it’s tiny and long wait time to get a seat. Pool menu is expensive and low on options. Would not come back here

Even a hostel, let alone a hotel that takes itself seriously (or one that doesn't but still charges $500/night), should provide up to code baby beds. It's not even a question of service, just the liability in the unlikely event of an accident. I'm just talking about an up to code bed. I'm not talking about a clean one (it wasn't), about service knocking on the door before going in to the room (they don't), or not having nut shells on the floor (at least not having them after you point out to the hotel exactly where they were found). I'm just talking about a safe bed for a baby. It doesn't need to be $500/night room for a safe bed. And if these aren't right, I wonder what else isn't. It actually used to be a great hotel.

Had a great experience at the Carleton. The rooms were nice, nothing special, but it was a great location (just north of Gordon beach), amazing staff and a pool that makes it all worth it. The pool was a bit small, but really nice to relax and spend a few hours in, with an incredible view of the city and beach. The staff were fantastic - from offering us drinks on check in, to extending a checkout by 6 hours! (To accomodate a late flight), I can't say enough about them. The rooms were clean and nice enough, but a bit dated. Nothing that would prevent me from coming back. If you book far enough in advance, it's a good value for money, but if you're last minute, it gets expensive quickly.

Spend 6 nights here. One of the hotel in great location in Tel Aviv beach. Service is good. Staff (mostly) very nice. Facility here is perfect! The gym, spa, and roof top hot tub jacuzzi!! Room is quite old and run down. Maybe because the hotel was closed during the covid. Carpet quite dusty and other stuffs like remote control, phone, electrical switch also dust and torn. My room have a problem with the bathtub twice that could not open the tub plug that I have to call the staff for help. Other that is good. You can enjoy the sunset from your balcony. Maid will make sure to get your bed done and change all the towels every day. Breakfast here is excellent. A lot of local menu in buffet. For the meat, they served only fish and egg here which cook perfectly. All the staffs in breakfast room very nice.

it's a great location I've never stayed there at the hotel however I've been there for business meetings and it's always clean efficiently and well-managed and run so if you're looking for a business meeting I highly recommend this hotel.

This is by far the best hotel in Tel Aviv. Perfect location, charming staff who always go the extra mile to help, spotlessly clean, modern and stylish, and delicious food.

Fit all the expectations. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Room with sea view as ordered. Stuff is super professional and friendly. Nice pool at rooftop. We watched air show from there. Recommend. P.s. We had minor issues at breakfast with getting our omlet, probably cook was overloaded and forgot about us, but waiter fixed at first request.

Hotel has a great location on the beach and close to central Tel Aviv. It also has one of the best breakfast restaurants I've been to in a hotel - overlooking the beach and the marina. City facing room on the 8th floor however was very average. The view is poor, looking directly out into buildings across the road and is also surprisingly noisy from the road below. Facing the sea would no doubt be a completely different experience.

good hotel! the calm atmosphere was very pleasant. the rooms are clean. but we didn't like the food and the chef was rude to people he shouted that if we don't like the food let's go to another hotel. in the end we left there because of the rude treatment of the chef.

Surprisingly good hotel! Amazing staff! Breakfast 10/10 Literally, the only downside is that pool is not heated.

  • 4/5 K L. 1 year ago on Google
Nice rooms with robe and slippers but windows are thin and you can hear the traffic. Very loud! Wonderful breakfast and concierge! Right off the beach. But close to traffic... Light sleepers, get your earplugs or another hotel not right off street and beach.

We came here for the honeymoon. From start to finish Carlton hotel has truly exceeded our expectation. We were warmly welcomed by Gila the Guest Relations Manager. Clean, quiet and spacious room, thoughtful and polite staff. Really enjoyed the breakfast as well! Would definitely recommend people to stay her!

We have stayed a few times and have always enjoyed it. Spent a few days last week and just have to leave a review as it was excellent. The view, the breakfast and Friday night dinner as well as an overwhelmingly helpful staff really made our visit! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Everything about Carlton is excellent. The location, the staff, the bar and the bartenders are bar none. Noah is superior at his job. His mix drinks are well prepared and bursing with favor. Room service is top notch. The breakfast is to die for. The front desk clerks are too nice! Love this hotel.

I've stayed at the Carlton before, but this was my first stay post-pandemic. While some properties have declined during COVID, I can say that this is NOT the case at the Carlton. If anything, the service has improved. The breakfast is amazing. Allow plenty of time! Great staff throughout the hotel. Excellent service. Tastefully appointed rooms with great views up and down the beach.

Best hotel in town, worths the 5 stars by far. Staff is professional, location is great, amenities are clean, pool quiet and well located on the rooftop, gym is super clean and enough space to train. Thanks for the warm welcome, we will definitely come back

I have stayed at some of the top name brand hotels in Tel Aviv Beach, but this Carlton is by far the BEST!! The amazing rooftop pool and hot tub, provide stunning views. Breakfast overlords marina is a highlight you don’t want to miss! Definitely coming back!!

  • 3/5 Pietro D. 7 months ago on Google
It claims to be a “5 stars superior” hotel but it is not. Absolutely. It can be a 4 stars at most. The building itself is quite ugly and poorly maintained. If you are lucky to get a room facing the sea, then the view is amazing, but if you face on the road and on the building behind the hotel, then it’s terrible. Service is good by the way, breakfast is amazing: the restaurant faces on the sea and there is a massive quantity of very good quality food.

Just spent 5 nights here. The balcony doors lock you out of the room. The rooftop pool is unheated and the pool towels are horrible plastic stuff. Pool menu is v limited and bar often not open. If you sit in sun on roof the yoga woman will move you to somewhere with no sun or WiFi. 24 hours to put soap in a toilet. Not really a 5 star hotel

Nice hotel, directly at the beach, comfy bed, clean bathroom, good shower, soft towels. TV station was working properly, as well as hairdryer. Water for free was available and room service asked actively if I needed anything additional. I haven’t had breakfast, so cannot assess it.

Great hotel in a fabulous location by the beach. Great service from the staff. Efficient check in and check out. Bar is small but breakfast is fantastic - especially being right by the beach with a lovely view and varied selection of food. Friendly juice bar guy and waiter. Woman checking people in for breakfast was not so friendly however (smiling would be helpful). Rooms are comfortable but have very thin walls. Nice sea view.

We arrived late for a 2 day stay. Shai (and the rest of the front desk team) were helpful, professional, courteous, friendly, warm and just amazing throughout our stay. Excellent location, view, breakfast was outstanding. Can't wait to return.

  • 5/5 Joshua H. 10 months ago on Google
Honestly the hotel is lovely, more akin to a 4 star in terms of lobby space, and fittings. That being said it's now my favorite as due to the exemplary customer service at checkin and checkout delivered by Fabian. Will surely return. Warm regards Josh

It was ok. It is expensive for the money, but it is similar to other hotels in Israel. Nice beach location near lots of restaurants, activities, etc. Worst part is close to a freeway like off ramp- so always loud, always drafty. But friendly, helpful people and a great breakfast option.

My wife and I stayey at Carlton for six days and had a fabulous time. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is very accommodating for any of our needs. Words can’t describe the breakfast buffet. I don’t think they missed one food, bread, fish, fruit, drink, etc etc. The coffee bar was amazing. All delicious. Enjoyed the pool and beach. Great location. If we return to Israel, the Carlton will definitely be our first choice.

Amazing stay at the Carlton Tel Aviv. Beautiful hotel, modern and clean. Good location along the beach. Delicious breakfast, lovely pool on the roof. I’ve really appreciated the service provided, people were always friendly and helpful, and Gila was often checking on us to see if everything was fine (it was perfect!) I recommend this hotel 👏

  • 5/5 Nick G. 7 months ago on Google
This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever been to. It's location is prime right next to the beach the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They can book you a tour from the concierge and they can even get you a taxi and bill it to your room so you can't get scammed. We needed directions to an out of way pick up spot for a tour and the concierge actually left her desk and walked us all the way to the spot we would have never found on our own and it was a tour we didn't book through the hotel. That is service you dont see anymore these days. Great restaurant in the hotel and also around the hotel. Definitely book this one.

Had a wonderful time at this hotel. Perfect in summer - great location and the pool was amazing (very busy on a Friday and Saturday though). The rooms were clean and comfortable and really well sized. But the staff is what will take me back. Gila (Guest Relations) was very accommodating and available. The concierge was great for any questions and help. The bell boys/staff at the front were friendly. Front desk was good. The breakfast was delicious and set overlooking the water. Highly recommend this hotel and will be back!!

I have stayed in several of the beach front hotels. I enjoyed the ambiance of the Carlton, the variety of spaces used. The staff were very helpful, although the bar staff need to be better focused when doing shift changes. Sad to be left waiting while 8 bar staff contine chatting whilst customers are left waiting foe more than 15 minutes to get a drink.

Last year my wife and I stayed at the Carlton Tel Aviv when we visited Israel and we were very satisfied so we came back this year and once again had a wonderful experience. Excellent service all around, best location hands down and the rooftop pool is just fantastic with amazing views!! The Carlton will remain our hotel of choice in TLV.

This is an overdue review but I enjoyed an extended weekend (a "staycation") with my husband and son at The Carlton at the beginning of the month and had the best time! Everything about the hotel was great - from communication prior to our arrival (Doron was extremely helpful and answered any and all of my questions) to our actual experience there. The service was wonderful and everyone who works there was so nice. It felt like a level of service that you'd receive abroad and truly 5-star worthy. The rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast blew us away. The only downside of the hotel is that it doesn't have it's own parking lot. Although the lot next door is very accessible, it is pricey. Other than that it is an amazing hotel and we cannot wait till our next stay there!

Beware corner rooms super small, you get a monitor screen for TV bathroom 2ft×2ft horrible !!!!! No place on counter to put your toiletteries, Avoid not 4.5 stars more like 3 stars hôtel. Entrance like a motel, bar super small. On week- end wait in line for breakfast. Pool full of kids no place to rest quietly. Avoid or abort. Mendel at reception Super RUDE, and on and on Trash left near elevators for hours. Asking ppl on the elevators, nobodies happy, who write those reviews I wonder. This hotel needs a major renewal inside out, chair in rooms are crumbly, wall on the outside looks like hotel is about to crumble. Wait hours for room service. Elevator have no fans, in summer 3 to 4 people in the elevators and you suffocate. My towels had holes Do yourself a favor move to another hotel.

We came for the start of our honeymoon here. From start to finish 5 stars all around! The buffet breakfast is INCREDIBLE! I have never had a breakfast like it and will miss it terribly. Rooftop pool is a bit small but very clean and amazing sea views. I highly recommend the schnitzel fingers. Spa was incredible. Staff were very nice and exceeded beyond expectations. I really never write reviews, but this hotel deserves it!

The Carlton was such a great choice being it was our first time in Tel Aviv. The boutique style hotel is beautifully decorated with a great rooftop pool and is centrally located . The buffet breakfast was something I will personally miss. The daily selection of authentic breakfast items was fabulous, especially the fresh made breads. You couldn’t beat the location which overlooked the pristine beach. Best of all was the service. Gila and the entire staff went over and above with making my first time stay in Israel very special. I highly recommend booking your next stay here.

  • 4/5 London T. 1 year ago on Google
Great but room for improvement. I’d almost say come here for the excellent buffet breakfast alone, especially if you can snag an outside table in the shade. A great way to start the day. Another plus are the staff, from the front desk to the guest relation manager (sorry I forget her name) who were all very efficient and helpful. And it’s in a good position by Gordon Beach and Gordon Pool. (And the hotel’s top floor pool was a bonus, even when quite busy.) But, on the negative side, definitely points taken away for the actual bedroom, which was dark, very dated and desperately in need of an overhaul to get it out if its 90s funk.

Had a truly wonderful day at the Tel Aviv Carlton beach hotel. Was there with my kids. All the staff were kind and helpful. Want to say special thanks to Alex at the pool. He was always smiling and nice to my fun loving but at times rambunctious kids. 🙂 He was attentive and looking out for us as well as everyone else there. Because of this I was actually able to relax and enjoy the day. Will comeback again!

Great location on the beach by the marina between the Gordon Pool and the Hilton. Room was smallish, a little dated, but clean and comfortable with partial view of the sea and a tiny balcony, which needed to be cleaned. Bed was comfortable. Nice rooftop pool. Beautiful buffet breakfast. Excellent service.
