The location of the hotel is stunning, it’s beautiful inside and out. However, the price definitely does not align with the experience as the small details really let them down. At £600 per night our room wasn’t cleaned properly and there was lots of dust and old masks from previous guests left behind the dresser. We were also told at check in that we should take full advantage of the complimentary minibar in the room (really hyped this up) and all there was in it was a sprite and coke (plus the fridge wasn’t even turned on). At the pool all the toilets were a mess and not cleaned regularly at all. Cleanliness in the hotels public areas is really lacking. The room service menu is also very limited. Overall stunning views and good service but it’s not the luxury experience that it presents. A bit of a shame.

Terrible terrible service. What an beautiful building and hotel, but completely tainted by the service. This is my 4th stay at the Setai Tel Aviv. On our first day here, our toilet completely broke, and we were moved to a smaller room with slightly better view. Maintenance was slow to come, and all in all took us around 2 hours to get everything sorted. The maintenance guy shushed me as I let him into the room?? They seem annoyed to fulfill any request at all. So confused. Management and front desk were extremely rude. They were talking amongst themselves most of the time and didn’t seem to bother to help us. The red haired lady at the front desk was rude and annoyed the whole time. The bellboys didn’t help with our 4 bags. Restaurant waitstaff was inattentive. Rude and stand offish. Did not offer us water and drinks, even though we asked many times. One bright side to this terrible stay was literally only one of the doormen. Vincent. A true gentleman and nice to us from day one. Asked us about our day and got us water. I wish everyone else at the hotel was like him. Good job Vincent! After 4 stays at the Setai, I am saddened to say that this experience has let me down. This is not the level of service one would come to expect at a hotel of this caliber and I think management/owners need to have a firm conversation with the team regarding what is Customer Service.

Most of the service was provided on a very low level, when I called room service they just told me that chef was on a break and siding take an order. The ceiling was torn with a crack on AC. The room fragrance was so strong that we barely could breeze in the room for the first hours so decided to leave the windows open the whole time. It was a bad idea because the room is in the corner of the very crowdy and loud Jaffa center. The pool area was so full not just by people but the amount of the sunbeds made look like a train in a rush hour but not a luxury hotel. We took 2 spa treatments, the first treatment was awful for me and for my wife, the second was better. Last day we decided to eat at the bar and it was a mess and low level dishes, the waiter was sorry and folds us that usually they have better food, that’s it. So we left with a “meh” aftertaste where even upon check out nobody asked us about our stay. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are looking for some chill pleasant luxury stay in Tel Aviv.

Let me start off with this hotel is trash! The staff is even worse, specifically Alex the concierge for American Express which I have contacted and reported him as well. 1st off upon arrival there was no parking, next all the restaurants were closed at hotel and no one told us about it, leaving us hungry to figure it out. Next after we have already checked in and placed all our bags in the room and left to eat, Alex, called us harassing us when we already showed our American vaccination cards, PCR covid test in both Los Angeles and from the Israeli airport…. Just all together a rude individual. I have stayed in 4 of the Satai locations around the world and this one is just substandard. Run AWAY!!!! DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! YOU DESERVE BETTER! Dr. K

Absolute rip-off! We booked a massage with breakfast and were five minutes late for the appointment. We walked into the hotel and were not properly greeted. We asked where the spa area was as we had an appointment. We were sent downstairs. The lady at the front desk told us that we were not entitled to breakfast because we were 5 minutes late and needed a massage right away. After I spoke with her in Hebrew and said to her that I do not understand what the behavior of such a luxury hotel should. She said she makes an exception we may still have breakfast after the massage. We were constantly pushed to hurry. I asked her how much it would cost us if we claimed the pool. She said 300 Shekel. The pool was actually included in the offer. What she did not mention. The conclusion is that tourists should be careful. We appreciate services of upscale hotel but this is hotel + breakfast is definitely not a recommendation. We were fooled and lied to!

I can't tell you about the other accommodations at the hotel, but definitely don't use the spa! I ordered a package to treat myself for a spa treatment + lounging at the pool. I was told explicitly that this package costs 380 shekels, I asked at the time of booking the package and at the time of payment. During the treatment I decided to extend the massage for an additional 100 shekels. I went to the front desk of the spa to confirm that the total charge would come out to 480 shekels. A few days later I looked at my credit card statement and saw that I was actually charged 630 shekels. When I called the spa to find out about the additional charge I was told that I was charged an additional 150 shekels to go into the pool, and when I enquired why I wasn't told about this additional charge the extremely rude spa manager told me that it's my problem. I told her multiple times that I was told that I would be charged a total of 480 shekels and when she couldn't get me to admit that it's "my mistake" (apparently she's under the impression that the customer is always wrong) she hung up the phone on me. I have no problem paying for any facilities I use, but trying to sneak additional charges in is dishonest and upsetting. If you use the spa make sure to check your credit card statement to make sure they haven't added additional charges, not that there seems to be any recourse for these dishonest practices.

I'm well acquainted with the usual high service levels offered by most decent establishments, and this fell vastly short. My 9 month pregnant wife was denied the use of the restroom, despite the fact that she was visibly distressed. Really let down by unsympathetic and rude staff.

I stayed at the Setai Hotel during Rosh Hashanah. I am in Israel for work and needed to leave Rehovot to make sure I had things to do during the holidays. I am so glad I picked the Setai. The location in Jaffa is great for tourists. It's easy to walk the old side of Tel Aviv and see historical sites like the Old Jaffa Port, St. Pete's Church and the Tanner's House where the Apostle Peter lived. Walk in the other direction and you can walk along beaches for miles. The hotel itself is one of the best in all of Israel. It's built on an old historical Ottoman site and still contains some of the structure. It's a site in itself and also sits on a mosque which is another site to see. There's underground parking - for you fellow American's, if you are driving to the hotel, make sure to follow Google Maps and turn where you see a large elevator. The hotel has underground parking and you are brought underground by that elevator. That was new to me. I loved that it had parking because it can be incredibly difficult to find parking in the area where it's super popular for the beaches. The facilities are top notch, including the spa and gym. There's a free turkish spa as well as dry sauna with lockers to use. It's also stocked with lots of water, flavored water, teas, and dried fruits like dried apricots and dates. The gym has lots of treadmills and enough weights to satisfy most on a vacation or business trip. There are free weights and cable machines. The room I picked had a partial ocean view and balcony. It overlooked the city and the beach and was nearly perfect. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The room was spacious and the bathroom was perfect. Big with a bathtub and walk in shower. It also has blackout shades so you can sleep in as long as you would like. The only downside, but this is a downside for all hotels in Tel Aviv is the road noise. The room filters out most noise except for the late night super loud cars and police cars. You can tell with the thick walls, and double paned windows, the hotel did its best to block out all noise, but it's impossible with how busy the area is. Lastly the staff - AMAZING. Everyone from the bell desk, security, cleaners, to the restaurant staff were warm, welcoming and kind. A shout out to ZaAID at Zaya. He's one of those people who just cares about you. He remembers your name from the first time you meet him. He's almost that favorite uncle most of you have in your life. Even though I'm thousands of miles away from my personal family, he made me feel like family and I really thank him for making my three day trip completely worth it. I hope the Setai Hotel recognizes just how special he is and how great he makes the guests feel. I would come back because of him.Thank you Zaid and thank you Setai for making my business trip to Israel spectacular.

Hotel was amazing. The staff was great from check in, pool, breakfast, lounge and spa. The massages were really great. Room was amazing. Everything was clean. The food at the lounge was great! The breakfast is huge. Parking was great too and very easy to access! We will come back next time to the hotel! Special thanks to the French employee who did our check in (assistant general manager I think). See you next year!

Very negative experience with the Spa staff at The Setai. We phoned to check if it was possible for non-guests to use the pool and were told that all spa treatments included pool access. We therefore booked 2 Salt Exfoliations at NIS 260 each. When we arrived, we were told the total price was NIS 1020, as the treatments cost an extra NIS 100 for non-guests (not mentioned on the phone) and pool access was a further NIS 150. We were told the extra for the pool was due to them having to open it specially, which was most probably a lie due to it being open 09:00-18:00 daily. We might have considered paying NIS 1020 if staff had been upfront about the cost but to arrive and to be attempted to be charged almost double the amount confirmed on the phone reflects very poorly on the staff and ethos of this establishment. AVOID.

Having stayed at Intercontinental & King David first in this 9 day trip, Setai is easily the best of the three. Best WiFi, warm & cozy ambiance, WOW service everywhere, and best of all, the most excellent restaurant food. Breakfast buffet is better quality & variety. Lunch is perfect execution on a simple menu. The timing, service, and courtesy of the entire staff is one I will look forward to returning. Thank you, Ziad :)

Satay Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Tel Aviv, just a short walk from the beach and many popular restaurants and bars. The hotel offers a unique blend of modern design and traditional elements inspired by the Middle East, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests. The rooms at Satay Hotel are spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds, modern amenities, and plenty of natural light. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to help guests with whatever they need. The hotel also offers a range of facilities, including a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the city and a cozy lounge area. One of the highlights of Satay Hotel is its breakfast, which is included in the room rate. The breakfast is delicious and offers a variety of options, including fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and local specialties. Guests can enjoy their breakfast on the rooftop terrace, overlooking the city and the Mediterranean Sea.

I have been in many hotels around the world. We usually go in, see the lobby and the ambiance and decide if we want to spend the night. I was there with my husband and 2 young children. The security gurd at the entrance was really scary and rude and wouldn't let us in. He actually shoved us away like criminals! We are respectable people, and did not deserve such treatment! I will never stay at such a place.

The Setai hotel is a beautiful, relaxing, wonderfully located hotel in Tiberias. I arranged a one night stay for all my employees who enjoyed themselves very much. BUT!!!! The hotel would have received 5* if the management knew how to address their customers. Dina from guest relations was incredible but Management needs a customer relation lesson.

The doorman Mario, on Friday August 4th 2023, has had a behavior both rude and misogynist. I am a woman, and I came there for lunch with my husband. Not our first time in this hotel. When we arrived, he addressed us in Hebrew. We replied hello in Hebrew, and then I immediately switched to English to inform him that we are very sorry but neither of us can understand Hebrew. He continued to speak in Hebrew, addressing only my husband. My husband did not reply and looked at me as I told again the doorman Mario that neither of us can understand or speak Hebrew. While I was speaking, he raised his hand to stop me from talking, and turned again to my husband to address him once more in Hebrew. At this point, my husband just replied ironically “Perfect, thank you” and we left. I’ll never return to a place where such a rude behavior is admitted, from staff or customer.

Exceptional service by an amazing team. I felt well taken care of and the location could not be more perfect. And the Breakfast was WOW. I recommend renting an e-scooter or taking a bike and riding up the shoreline, about 5-6km and enjoying the sights. Tel Aviv is so beautiful and The Setai is a true gem. Thank you for the beautiful experience

This may very well be the best hotel experience we have encountered throughout our travels. From the level of customer service that began even before we arrived and continued until our departure, all we can say is fantastic. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the hotel, from location, to decor, to history, to service level and quality. Great relaxing and romantic trip. Elizabeth, our concierge, Zyad, the breakfast manager, Sasha, the Mediterranean waiter and Alex, our Rooms Manager were phenomenal. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Beautiful design inside, great view from windows, good service, polite and friendly stuff. Good kitchen. Enjoyed every minute during our week end there. A lot of interesting places around the hotel. But a little bit surprised to find a dust under the bed , when looking for a dropped earring

The Setai Hotel is a stunner. Perfect location, beautifully appointed rooms, great restaurant and wonderfully friendly service. I've stayed at the best hotels in Israel and this is my favorite in the Tel Aviv area and the one of the best in the country.

The Setai Tel Aviv has become my new home base when visiting Jaffa / Tel Aviv. The management and staff are attentive, professional and overall top notch. Always accommodating if I had to modify my itinerary as I had to do with a changing schedule. The rooms themselves (i've stayed in a few different rooms at the Setai over the past 2 years) are beautifully decorated with stunning views of the sea, pool and/or courtyard. My family and friends loved the pool and buffet meals, especially breakfast and dinner on Shabbat. My father very much enjoyed this hotel for his 75th birthday. Well located between Jaffa and Tel Aviv, so very close to everything you want to see. Indoor parking in the private garage with car elevator was also a nice feature. Oh, and I loved the gym!

Amazing hotel in the old town of Jaffa but what really made our stay memorable was the Bellboy Vincent. His smile and positive attitude everyday made it a pleasure to return to the hotel. How one guy can make such a difference :-)

Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast has lots of food choices. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Hotel itself is kept and maintained in very good condition. Also a convenient location with many shops and restaurants few minutes away. Price a bit high though but worth it.

The rooms are on the small side, but perfectly suitable and ours had wonderful views of the ocean. It is excellently located although it can be a bit loud and busy, especially with the entrance right next to a busy roundabout with minimal parking. The service was very good, particularly the concierge who provided many fantastic recommendations. Unfortunately, the spa was one of the worst I've ever seen in a hotel of the standard and it really lets the hotel down. To get to it you have to walk past full conference/meeting rooms, busy and bustling with people milling around outside the rooms. The spa reception itself is starkly lit, with staff shouting at each other across the room. We were ostentatiously ignored for several minutes and then marched through to the 'relaxation room' which is also brightly lit and adjoined to a gym. We were given no opportunity to change or shower. The therapist didn't even know my name and after a several false starts we determined I was the person she was looking for. The treatment itself started late and finished early and whilst I was encouraged to instruct her on how I like my massage, my instruction was ignored in its entirety. I've had some average massages in hotel spas before, but never experienced a setting and service so unrelaxing. When we fed this back to the hotel in person, they didn't seem particularly interested in this information and we were not asked to elaborate in any way so it seems they have no interest in improving things.

Beautiful hotel in Jaffa. The rooms are large and nice. We found the service to be lacking and inconsistent. When we got there no one helped with our luggage. Our room was also not properly cleaned or restocked with missing toiletries. The pool is a rooftop pool that while small is beautiful. The poolside service is terrible. No one helps with supplying towels and ordering a drink takes an hour. While they say the hotel is in Tel Aviv, it is really Jaffa. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with great rooms, but they really need to improve the service.

Our second stay at Setai Tel Aviv/Yafo. Will return again. Beautiful hotel with much ambiance. Location and views exceptional. Many areas throughout hotel to relax in both indoors and outdoors. Food excellent. Beautiful Shabbat dinner buffet and breakfast. Front desk service people are very helpful and polite. Room we had with views of sea and of Tel Aviv skyline was amazing. Looking orward to our next visit.

I will never recommend this hotel to anybody! We had such a horrible experience at a so-called luxury hotel. My husband and I wanted to celebrate his birthday at the spa so I booked him a day with enjoying the facilities including the pool and spa treatments for the both of us. Over the phone the lady was very helpful but upon arrival everything went South. We pull up to the hotel with our car to be told that there is no parking for people that are coming to enjoy the hotel for the day plus they have a very limited parking for a hotel guess also so not every hotel guest gets to park at the hotel. I don’t understand how a luxury hotel does not inform hotel guests beforehands that they’re not going to be able to park or not give them in an option to at least the valet car and the most crowded area in Tel Aviv. We had to go looking for parking which took us around 25 minutes and then had to walk in 40° heat to the hotel. Arriving to the hotel exhausted we head down to the spa. The lady at the checking guess was absolutely horrendous! I never met someone that works in customer service be so rude! She started still giving me other prices than I was given over the phone telling me that amenities weren’t included and started arguing with me and making me feel stupid on even coming there! All I wanted was to have a fun day with my husband for his birthday ! Needless to say Oscar having this horrible experience we decided to give up our day at the spa and ended up going to a different hotel which was the best decision we made that day! When you hold yourself to such a high standard to call yourself a luxury chain/a luxury hotel you need to first of all make sure your customers are happy and secondly know to resolve issues when you have them not causing more problems! Luckily enough there are very large amounts of nice hotels in Tel Aviv to enjoy a day at the spa without having to go through this horrible experience !

Another one star review. I am disgusted with the Setai in Tel Aviv. Located right next to the beautiful Mediterranean Sea but the entire area smells like a toilet and trash because of them. Thanks to their trash room and the sewage they empty into the drain and street 🤮 and refuse to do anything about it. Not to mention the delivery trucks that are constantly running below the hotel room windows facing the sea. So disappointing

Good hotel, with great service and great food. Amazing atmosphere. The traffic and lack of parking in the hotel area at the moment is unbearable. There no parking near the hotel (except for the market parking lot which is a few minutes walk and it’s very expensive) and the hotel's underground parking is very small and fills up very quickly.

Amazing breakfast and facilities. Two of our massages didn’t uphold professional standards and didn’t align with an internationally acclaimed hotel that prides itself. The long pool is perfect in temperature and the view is amazing. The sun beds are facing the west, some north, which is tricky since the sun shines on one’s back for most of the time. Only one shower with little changing area in spa area.

This is an incredibly gorgeous hotel. Rich history, neat building and location in old Jaffa and by the ocean. The breakfast buffet was the best of my whole trip - top notch service, variety and were familiar with some American preferences. Only complaint - which is about many hotels, the bathrooms are not designed for women, for ex, lighting is poor and set up is awkward.

The hotel Is really beautiful, localized in an old architectural building and this is actually all what is nice in this hotel (I did not try the restaurant). The service staff as a 5* hotel is not good prepared and trained, definitely it is not a level value to money. The swimming pool is crowded with people from outside, the tables were totally dirty, there were napkins piled everywhere on the ground and nobody took care about that. The staff does not care they don’t greet and seem unfriendly.

The location is simply magical and the rooftop pool overlooking Tel Aviv is impressive! The rooms are super confortable and the breakfast is to die for! And the service is amazing: very kind and helpful. I really think that the Setai has the most stunning view and the fact that this is a boutique hotel is a very good point. I can’t wait to come back!

I went for 2 massages. The first Amazing. The second one blah. Look it is an Israeli spa. So they gave it a try. But the robs are small and are not luxurious. They are an American size med. So ladies of you are over a size 14 forget about it. I also had to say that the second massage therapist made me feel old and fat. In my 30 years of getting a massage I have never been told to leave clothes on. And since all I had was my trunks so i could use the Hamam. I left feeling worse then I started. Both emotionally and physically. So I guess if your pretty and small great place. If you plus size skip it. Unless you want to feel like gigantor. Who gets a massage with clothes?

Went as couple for one night at the Setai, we paid 600$ for one night and it wasn't worth it. The staff was messy and not accommodating as we thought they should havebeen. We got into the room around 1pm, we asked for our bads to be delivered to the room, it took them 3 hours to get our bags and after 3 phone calls to the front desk to complain. Went down to the pool, it was very small and not enough beds for everyone so we had to go back to the room, not just that everyone at the pool was really loud and the staff were arguing with some of the other guests. It wasn't not a good experience, nor did it was worth the price we paid for it. The room are big and nice. Breakfast was wonderful and delicious, those are the two upside for this stay. We will not go back to this hotel, there are other ones, cheaper and nicer.

Hotel is amazing. Site of the hotel was a mosque, then an prison during the times of Palestine. Now it’s a beautifully restored hotel. Perfect location and views from the pool deck and seating area. Staff was incredibly friendly. My only complaint is they don’t serve food by the pool and the sunset area doesn’t serve food or drinks in the afternoon.

The hotel is situated in a central place in jaffa, but as you enter the hitel you are in a Mediterranean oasis. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. We wee upgraded to executive room facing the pool. The room is spacious, clean. The bed and pillows are comfy. Do not miss the breakfast. It is the best in Israel!! I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Setai for 4 nights and absolutely loved the property but the staff are truly what made a difference. Alex, the Director of Rooms and Quality, went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and helped us with reservations for every night in Tel Aviv with each recommendation being stellar. Sophia, Nicholas, Vincent and Elizabeth were all very helpful and friendly as well. We highly highly recommend the Setai and cannot wait to come back!

My wife and I came to a spa treatment. In short, it was a poor experience. The masseurs had no idea what they were doing (and did not speak Hebrew or English), and I’m baffled that these are the professionals such a presumably high-end establishment would hire. When I tried speaking to the supervisor, she mentioned we should have left 5 minutes after the treatment started if that’s how we felt - which is obviously ridiculous, but then again very appropriate for an Israeli-related service experience. Charge exuberant rates, and blame the client if the service isn’t up to par! Stay away.
