This is my second Selina I have stayed in and not my favorite. The Tel Aviv beach is much better. The wifi and door didn’t work in the coworkering and I had to walk to the OTHER selina to use their coworking space. Friendly reception and dog, clean facilities but the door / lock wasn’t working, the night security to me (he wouldn’t) to let reception know the lock was acting up. They love to use these super hard to use locks with a key code which don’t work 1/2 the time, so you are standing outside the room pressing the thing hoping it picks up your finger. At 3am when I go to the bathroom some homeless person is wandering in the common areas (bathroom / shower and upstairs / downstairs). Location is super nice but I wouldn’t stay again. It was my first time in a community room, they provide a lock box and fresh towels.

We booked for 1 night the Standard room. The room wasn't satisfying at all. The walls and floor were dirty and old. The shower and bed were ok. We got 2 towels for shower and when I went to the reception to ask for hand towels they didn't had one so I got floor towel instead, not something very important but the least I ask for is a towel to dry my hands... The breakfast was TERRIBLE. They don't have any milk products, no cheese, no butter and no milk, they have vegan milk but that's all. You get something to drink, omlet, salad and bread. So you expect something aside the omlet and bread but theres no butter or any sauce. In what breakfast there isn't butter or even vegan option for that? After the breakfast my girlfriend suffered for all day from stomach pain. I can't blame the breakfast for sure but maybe it's connected, I don't know. I'm really surprised from Selina, after two excellent vacations we did we were so surprised from what we got. Don't go there. And if you go, stay away from the breakfast, waste of money.

The positives: the staff is friendly and the location is good. Two major issues. The room was in a very noisy restaurant. Like in the restaurant. Loud music and staff screaming at each other until 1am EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK. Really noisy. Second issue was that it rained in my room in different places. My books were damaged and some clothes got wet. When I told the staff and showed them pictures, I only received an apology. Sorry, not enough, not ok. It’s a shame, because the place has potential but I barely made it through my stay. The rooms in the restaurant should be shut down. Spoke to another guest staying in the restaurant and she hated it as well.

VERY MISLEADING: to keep it short and sweet. Aesthetically out dated, the room did not reflect the true beauty of the photos, room was surface clean, dirty walls, old stained tiles, BIG ROACHES. tv, coffee maker didn’t work. Location was good, very walkable. Staff: very disconnected people, always scrolling on their phones or laptops, confused, barely wanting to assist, seems like they aren’t there to work, they just wanna kick it. So don’t expect much. Not very community driven, so meeting people not going to happen. Place and people are cold and stand off ish, this place is not managed well at all! Don’t waste your money or time. I’ve stayed at a Selina location in Mexico City and it was amazing. This, place… I could go on all day. Moral of the story is, if you are looking at the photos thinking “Wow!” I’m telling you, look else where. Reflects an old has been college dorm.

The staff was really friendly. The location is good for exploring Florentin and Jaffa. The breakfast was great. However, I cannot recommend staying in this hotel, mainly because of the misleading description on booking and the bad soundproofing of the room. What looks like a spacious, welcoming and social common area with reception, plants etc. in the photos on booking is actually an external, up-scale restaurant with a large open kitchen. I felt scammed as I had relied on the photos. Also, it felt awkward having to walk straight through the restaurant and past their guests to get to your room. You needed to explain to the receptionist that you’re not going to the restaurant but passing through. You can hang out in a small co-working space in another building close by, but there was not really a space to meet other travelers. The room was basically in the back of the restaurant so you heard loud music, people talking and kitchen noise from the restaurant until very late at night. The noise continued early in the morning when the restaurant started serving breakfast. In addition, there was a big slot under the door of the room. When I asked for a different room, they offered me one in the same building which was closer to the restaurant/ open kitchen and even more noisy. The WiFi was unreliable. The smell of the restaurant was at times well noticeable in the room. The room did not look like the ones in the photos. I was given free breakfast as an apology. This did not feel like adequate compensation in light of how unpleasant the stay was, the misleading ad and the price of the room (around 100 Euros/night).

A horrible experience of extremely loud music through huge speakers, coming out from within the restaurant of the building, all through the evening until 1AM. Neve Tzedek is a quiet residential neighborhood, and I was expecting a peaceful night's stay before my business day the day after, that was completely ruined.

Really great location within walking distance of HaHagana train station, Jaffa, and of course all of the great restaurants and cafés in Neve Tzedek. Wonderfully friendly and accommodating staff and a very modern vibe. There are a couple of things that prevent it from being 5 stars: it's not the cleanest hostel I've stayed in (unidentified bodily fluids on the curtains in the dorm room, the bathrooms are pretty dirty, parts of the bedframe were rusting so there were always flakes of rust on the sheets). There also isn't a real lounge space which means that people congregate outside of the dorm rooms, which are not well-soundproofed — almost every night I had to go out around 3am and ask people to quiet down because they were having loud conversations outside the window. The dorm rooms are also very close to the road so you'll get loud traffic noise and doors rattling/banging all night. I'm a heavy sleeper so this was unusual for me. There are also no proper lockers in the rooms, just some drawers and a personal cabinet in the bed area. My dorm-mates were all quite friendly and trustworthy but I would still bring a suitcase lock in case you have valuables. I want to emphasize the positives, however! Again, the staff were great and check in/out was super easy. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in the bathrooms and you get new towels every day, so you can save some suitcase space and you don't have to travel with wet stuff in your bag! There is a small library (although sometimes the door is locked) and it's well-stocked and quiet. There is a little coffee/tea station at reception and a community fridge. Check-in is at 15:00, but you can leave your bags in a locked room and explore the city if you're there too early. Wifi is good/fast and (though I didn't see the co-working space) there are some tables inside and outside the reception where you could easily have a coffee and check your emails. I also found that the wifi was accessible from the park below (Park Ha'Mesila) in case you prefer sitting in the grass :) Neve Tzedek is a super vibrant and youthful neighbourhood with easy transit options, but Tel Aviv is such a walkable city that I never had to use the bus. Overall I had an enjoyable stay and would definitely consider staying here again! תודה רבה!

I stayed in the dormitory room 305. + The room is big enough, the beds are comfortable and the bedsheets are clean. They change the towels everyday. + The location of the hostel is pretty good. Close to restaurants and 10 mins away from the beach + The staff is helpful and generally friendly - There is no separate toilet for man and women, and you need to go outside and walk to reach to the toilet. Very inconvenient and stressful to go to the toilets. - The common bathrooms and toilets were not clean in general. - There was no window to open in the room, so we had to open the door from where random people outside can look inside - Also if you are looking for meeting new people, it is not the right place. Overall, nothing happened in terms of safety, but it didn’t feel safe to use the toilets in the middle of the night as you had go outside.

This 'chapter' in the Selina network, is located in the middle of Neve Zedek's charming haven, itself in the middle of Tel Aviv bustling White City. A magical pearl, coupled with modern amenities, and direct access to the beach and StartUp epicenter of Rothschild boulevard. The room design is modern, and basic, no fluff, but it is clear that much attention was given to the important details, for example: the rooms have strategically located power outlets, and fast wifi (why is it so hard to have these in hotels?!?). The staff are charming, typical poster childs of the famous 'Israel's casual' approach to everything... a smile, a can do approach, and a constant party vibe. Finally, the pricing is fair. Highly recommend for a romantic weekend, as well as a business trip (once those become a thing again...)

I stayed in Selina Neve Tzedek two years ago when it was newly opened and had a really great experience. Great location, clean aesthetics, little personalized touches, great service — everything that Selina brand tries to advertise. I stayed again for one night in a standard room — ironically, the same room I had stayed in two years previous, and had a very different experience… the quality of the rooms and fine details has gone down a bit — stained sheets and towels, a main door that wouldn’t close without body slamming into it. Check-in was friendly and quick — no complaints there. However, I called in the evening to request a blanket and was told it would be put in my room. Arrived late in the evening and didn’t find one, so went down to ask again — ended up being led into a dingy storage area and told to look around stored yoga mats, random stuff, towels, and one blanket under a stack of other materials. Left me feeling a little grossed out with questions about the other linens in the room; overall, not a terrible experience but definitely not living up to the vibe and level I remember from my previous time. Enough for me to let go of my Selina expectations a little bit; I will probably just try to find an AirBnB in the city the next time.

Small but comfortable hotel, clean, comfortable beds, breakfast could be better, young and very friendly staff. Good price for what the hotel offers taking into account that they are located in the very expensive city of Tel Aviv. The hotel has a great location.

Well, we had some communication problem before my stay in this place but all my negative thoughts has changed when I arrive there. They upgraded my room which is great. The lady at the reception at 11.06/ 11 a.m who I forget the name (sorry) was so kind. Location also in short walking distance to all places around. I stayed in room 209 and The only thing that improved in room, it should be kettle and welcoming tray in room for guests.

We spent 7 nights in Selina Neve tzedek. The first night was hard because we initially reserved the restaurant room. We do not recommend this room because of the noise from the restaurant downstairs. Depending on the event happening in the restaurant, it can be extremely loud until midnight. If you are mostly outside, love partying and looking just to sleep in the hotel (starting at midnight) this might be a good solution for you. However as we had to be in bed early this was not the case for us. The following day we went to the staff to find a solution and they were very understanding. Luckily there was another room available in their establishment and we changed rooms to be in a different part of the hotel. I recommend this place as long as you’re not in the restaurant room.

We sayed at the hotel for one week in a standard double room (209). The room was ok, nothing special. It is a bit noisy sometimes during the night and too much light gets into the room in the morning. The location is great and the staff members in the reception are nice and helpfull. The cleaning service of the room was a total disaster. The room was just half cleaned once during the whole week. We were given two days of complimentary breakfast in the restaurant to compensate that which was quiet nice.

Great location, easy to get to. My room needed some repairs (for some time) but that didn't take away from the comfortable bed. Friendly staff willing to help and accommodate.

Very friendly people and you get a welcome drink. Nice location with near supermarket and 24/7 reception. Good price and clean room. Shower and toilette are also clean and modern, towel is given by hostel.

I ditched Abraham hostel to come to Selina for the WiFi. I am a digital nomad so I need a strong WiFi signal! Besides that the staff and people there gave me a better vibe as well. The dorms were better and the beds had curtains so I was able to sleep very well.

Best price/quality i have ever experienced in Tel Aviv. Very helpful and friendly girl at the reception. Clean and modern rooms.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It’s pretty nice area and it is just a walking distance to the beach or to Rothschild Boulevard (where most of the restaurants and bars are). I would probably recommend this for younger individuals or people without kids as some of the rooms are behind the restaurant which can be a little noisy in the later hours. ( so check before you book). Other than that you get all you need and it’s what you pay for overpriced. All staff was very friendly and helpful!

I used my seven nights voucher in the standard room. It was quiet, nice neighborhood. The restaurant is also pleasing. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Simply phenomenal. I actually thought I was at the wrong place, because this place is super nice. Eido, the manager was outstanding, friendly guy. Rooms are way too nice for what you pay for. Of all the places I've stayed at in Tel Aviv, by far the best.

Booked this place for 7 nights as I was traveling alone and looking for a friendly, fun vibe. The Selina was nice but it was a bit quiet when I arrived. It didn't really have a lounge for people to mingle which was probably my least favourite thing about it. I asked them to switch to the Selina Beach hotel instead and they did it with no problems at all which made my entire week great. Big thanks to Noga who worked at the front desk. She was extremely friendly and helpful while I stayed there my first few nights in Tel Aviv. Thank you Noga!

Located in the old part of town, within walking distance to Neve Tzadek and Old Jaffa. The rooms are nice and simple, and the crew is welcoming.

Loud disgusting music disturbing the peaceful neighborhood!

  • 4/5 Pamela S. 1 year ago on Google
Very good location. Clean and installations are really new. The staff is nice but not always in the counter. It’s in front of a very useful bus station. The private room we booked is in the second level of the restaurant, we thought it was going to be loud but not at all. The breakfast that came included was great. Would come back again.

Selina was amazing!! The stuff is very gentle and the atmosphere is magical and friendly! We stayed here for 4 days, the location is very good in Neve tzedek, with a stunning urban view. We chose this place because of the work and study area, it was quite with good background music with air conditioning. We really recommend this place.
