Riyaz and his team are a local, family run, professional business. They have been trekking this territory for many years. We had a very good time with them and they are well organized. Safeen, the chef and guide, was amazing - such a good cook and great company! Super interesting and learned alot about the people and area. I felt very good all the money for the trek went to the families direct. I for sure recommend them if you are looking to do Kashmir. We did the great lakes in 5 days, no problem. There are a lot of livestock on the trail - nomatic shepards. Riyaz is honest and hardworking. I recommend them for sure. Please note: bring your own water filter !!! very important. Also, the pads in the tent for sleeping are very very thin, ask ahead for a thicker pad.

It was definitely an experience we will cherish forever. The team was amazing, well organized and we felt very safe. I would highly recommend traveling with these guides as you can't beat a local who knows the region and the small group size make a big difference, we all became friends and really had a lot of fun. Also great food and the places we saw are for me the most beautiful I've ever seen! Highly recommended!

The service of the chef and the staff is quite good, professional and friendly. For a low-budget itinerary, it can be regarded as a team with a high CP value! The scenery along the way is really worth a visit!

One of the most amazing trek i have done so far. Btw, its all thanks to the perfect arrangement by Trek Kashmir. Riyaz as the guide and leader have a lot of experience and know the area very well. He allow you to control your pace as long as it was not too slow. He was willing to let me enjoy the view and take photos. He shared few advices and stories of this trek. In term of food, i rated as 4 out 5. They also catch few Trouts and served it as our meals. They provided good quality sleeping bag, not only that they brought carpet for extra comfort.

Don't know from where to start complaining. We saw trek organizer Riyaz's face only on the first day. Nothing was perfect about the trek except for our trek guide Zohaar. We were group of 13 friends with different fitness levels and hence we choose alpinetrek so we would not be pressurized to keep up the pace and yet we were constantly commented with sarcasm by the organizer's group. The basic arrangement was not in place. Tents were in pathetic condition, we had constant water seepage, no flysheet to protect against the rains. No dining tent. sleeping bags were smelly and of bad quality-did not keep us warm. Let me let you'll the worst WAS THE FOOD. Half of us had dyspepsia. Rice was always half cooked. In spite of complaining, no change or improvement. Utensils were not cleaned. We wanted hot water to fill our thermos flask and would find food residual in our bottles. Then we saw our Great cook use to just rinse the pot in which he cooked chicken and simply boil water in the same pot. We had vegetarians in our group, no empathy towards their sentiments. OMG. Packed lunch was so terrible that non of us could eat. One boiled egg, potato and one slice of bread. Pleases do not trek with Riyaz's Group. No First Aid kit, No BP monitor, No Oximeter, No Safety. " Itna Paisa May kuch Bhi Nahi Milega" WARNING!!! Trek with them at your own risk.

Me and my 2 friends did the Kashmir great lakes trek in August with Riyaz. It was one of the best experiences we had on our trip and I would recommend to anyone. Not only is the area beautiful but we met amazing people in our group and the food cooked for us was great. We even got a ill on the 2nd day of the trek and Riyaz was very knowledgeable and caring and we were able to finish the trek happy and healthy! The trek itself is not too hard but still very rewarding with some high passes. An amazing experience with an amazing team - defiantly go with this local family run business!

I am fortunate that I’ve travelled in different parts of Himalayas but it was my dream to go for a trek in Kashmir. My dream comes true………….. :) there is no need to introduce Kashmir and its breath-taking natural beauty to any nature lover, its truly the Paradise on Earth. There are so many trek routes and options in Kashmir but they are more popular among the visitors from western countries than domestic tourists. Considering the time, available information and difficulty level we decided to visit Trasar / Marsar Lake trip. Tarsar and Marsar these two lakes referred as Twin-Sisters in Kashmir. Tarsar is dominated by Kolahoi mountain and Marsar is located near Dachigam National Park. The route is more or less easy (need to be careful about several rock-fall zone and bolder zones are quite frequent too). But rest assured, the entire route will just mesmerise you…………. Do prepare yourself to be surprized in every moment specially the first part of the route that starts from Aru. Let me thank Riyaz who has done a great job – he has arranged everything for us. Our gratitude to our guide Hanif, enthusiast Horse-man Moi Baba (our live entertainment channel during the entire trip) and our cook β€˜Chachajan’.

There's no word could describe the feeling when I saw the stunning mountains. Blessed with the experiences, surrounded with these beauties and the echoes of the gushing streams through the valleys. Woods on the lower slopes with pines and oaks, rocky towards the top welcomed me with such a great adventure. Really hope that I could say β€˜Hello again’ to this place. Thank you to Riyaz, Safeen, Tariq and Nasir. #missingKashmir

I did Kashmir great lakes trek with Trek Kashmir and it was an awesome experience. It was very well organised by Riyaz. Riyaz and the staff were very helpful, and made sure we are perfectly comfortable around everything from food to stay. We felt in safe hands. Food was really good throughout the trek and they provided us with chicken and Trout fish on many days of the trek (unlike lots of other trek organizers). It was totally worth money. I will strong recommend Trek Kashmir to everyone and would definitely prefer to trek again with Trek Kashmir
