An excellent choice along the museum’s restaurant row. A small restaurant in the middle of a very busy pedestrian street full of restaurants. We had the mussels with side noodles and their specialty, poke bowl. The poke bowl is very unique and is very good. House wine is excellent and great value. Service is very friendly and we enjoyed the outdoor table for people watching.

Wonderful food and friendly welcoming service! It was the best meal during our six days in Athens! It was our favorite Greek salad with the best feta of any (which we had at every meal). The best moussaka, made super fresh each day. The food was so good we had to go back a second time! 🥰

Greek Stories restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey through the flavors of Greece. The menu boasts a selection of delicious Greek dishes that tantalize the taste buds with authenticity. Not only is the food a treat, but the prices are reasonable, providing excellent value for money. The restaurant’s strategic location adds to the overall experience, creating a charming atmosphere that complements the delectable offerings.

Great place to eat dinner, maybe even one of the best in its bracket! The location is perfect, right in the centre of multiple attractions and that’s only the beginning… The service was great but it got even better as the evening went on; the two waiters that were there that evening checked on us multiple times and offered an almost perfect service. Food-wise, the Poke Bowl was delicious. The ingredients were fresh, the seasoning was on point and everything was well balanced. Other people in my group got the chicken souvlaki which was a decent portion but a little dry. The braised beef was amazing. You can’t go wrong with this quality-price ratio. Definitely worth a stop, I would go back in a heartbeat for a quick lunch or a long evening!

I stayed at the apartment right next door and was always greated by these gentleman. They where always friendly and able to hold a good conversation or make jokes. All around a great experience and atmosphere. The food was mega good i had sea bass and my girlfriend had greek spaghetti both delicious 😋 and then a complementary (greek joghurt) if you're reading this from outside of Greece and just joghurt if you're there. And a complementary shot of uzo sorry you might have to spellcheck me there hahaha. Hope this was helpful feel free to ask questions if you have them and leave a like if this was helpful please and thank you. Have a great day 😀

Our second time at Greek Stories….My husband and I LOVE the food & atmosphere. I recommend the grilled octopus & mushroom penne. My husband loves the salmon poke bowl. But honestly everything here we have tried is amazing. We never felt rushed and had a lovely time talking to several of the waiters. I can’t wait to return again for a third time. Also, EVERYTHING on the menu is gluten free!

Rarely do we visit the same place twice on vacation, but this restaurant was truly special. The eggplant rolls were extremely decadent and were the perfect little parcels of flavour. The moussaka (traditional and vegan) were excellent and tasted incredible both the times that we went. The presentation was also quite good and everything reflected their passion for food and service. Special shout-out to Jorgos for being incredible during both the visits! He made our visit very comfortable with his hospitality. Do visit if you're in the area! It's quite close to the Acropolis and the museum.

We managed to get the last available outdoor table for lunch and there is definitely a reason this restaurant is the busiest on the street. Amazing Greek salad, accompanied by some gorgeous tzatziki and pitta bread and some lamb tacos. All the food was so tasty! The guy who we assumed owned the restaurant was very personable. Most definitely recommend a visit here!

Great food, great wine, great service. Perfect Dinner spot for our first night in Greece. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the grilled octopus. The service was wonderful. The staff was friendly and gave excellent recommendations including the house red wine. We enjoyed our meal and appreciated the hospitality of the staff.

Delicious food and friendly servers! Yummy meal options for vegetarians, vegans, and those eating gluten-free! We had the traditional tomato keftedes (so good with a slight hint of mint), eggplant rolls, fried squid, vegan moussaka (so good), and the lamb souvlaki.

Really great moussaka! All food was fresh and great quality. Don’t be thrown off by the touristy zone. It’s very reasonably priced and offers a traditional menu.

The best place I have been in all of Athens. As a celiac this is a godsend. I have never seen a restaurant so accommodating and so kind. The service is undeniably the best I have had internationally. 120% recommend this place to anyone I know and highly encourage anyone in Athens to make their way to this gem of a restaurant. I could write a novel about how much I love this place. Very grateful to have found it. The man who greeted us was so kind and all the employees have the best attitude I have seen in the food service industry. The photos do not do this good enough justice.

Thank you guys so very much for keeping your place purely gluten free!! And we could taste the traditional Greek dishes here, that we couldn't eat otherwise. All the dishes were very good, especially the desserts! The main dishes were a bit cold for me, but the taste was all good!

I would fly to Athens tomorrow just to go back here! I have a gluten intolerance & my husband does not. He even loved the food. It is located near the museum and Acropolis so extremely handy. Everything was fresh, staff were so knowledgeable and fantastic service! It does get busy but we got a table no problem. Do not miss this place when in Athens!

Some of our favorite meals in Athens were at Greek Stories! Neither of us has issues with gluten - we simply chose the restaurant for our first evening based on reviews and then found the food so delicious that we went back multiple times again during our multi-week stay. Service was very attentive and the location was convenient to so many of the sights. If you are a fan of mushrooms the mushroom appetizer is highly recommended.

Food is super delicious! Service is amazing and staff are all friendly! Our server Chris is super friendly and made our visit an incredible experience. Greek salad is to die for-- generous amount of feta cheese, fresh vegetables. Chicken gyro was amazing and gemistas (stuffed peppers) tasted delicious! I would come here again if I ever visit Athens in the future!

Food was one of the most delicious we have had in Greece!!! Portions were great. We had the seafood spaghetti and caramelized beef and they were both DELICIOUS! Very reasonably priced, not expensive at all. Service was also excellent!! Highly recommend this spot!

Nice restaurant in a great location, right next to Acropolis metro and Acropolis museum. The staff are friendly and the order arrived fast. Ordered soup of the day - Carrot with ginger and orange (wouldn’t recommend) and the sea bass filet crispy skin (fresh, not really crispy and the purée was delicious). Overall, It’s a good place to grab quick lunch / dinner and continue exploring the district :)

Food was fresh and tasty, good portions. We went for pork gyros and pork souvlaki. Service was nice and fast. Prices are fair. Removing one star for a bottle of water that they charged 5 Euro (!) while in every single restaurant in Greece we got it for free.

Vibrant ambience where the restaurant is located right next to the acropolis museum. Enjoy your dining experience while people-watching. 😉 Ordered sea bass fillet and it was yummy and juicy. Souvlaki was also nicely marinated and tender. Salad was nicely plated with a crispy 'biscuit' to top it off. Service staff was friendly and accommodating. One of them (we think he is the boss) made the effort to interact with the diners. For us, that was a special touch as we did not have a similar experience at the other restaurants we have been to. Thank for you a beautiful Greek story experience.

I was searching a gluten free restaurant for me and I saw this. So me and my boyfriend came there. The restaurant is small but they have lots of dishes all gluten free, bread too. They have vegan, fish and meal dishes, lots of Greek diet. We choosed one glass of house white wine, one bottle of water, one pork souvlaki, one pork gyros. The taste was very similar to each other. Good taste but nothing special. The side dish is french fries and a cucumber sauce. It costs little

Amazing food! I ordered the lamb and it was the best I’ve had while in Greece. The waiters are really nice and they answer every question you have about the menu. With a beautiful location, it’s worth visiting it! I didn’t have the 5th star because I was irritated by the people that came to beg to buy roses or other stuff, but you have that in a lot of restaurants. Easy fix is to eat inside but I wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather.

It was a nice treat to find a completely gluten free restaurant for a family member of mine. Taking the recommendation of another review, we tried the tomato fritters and really enjoyed it. We decided to order the grilled combination plate to share, which came with more than enough food for the two person recommended portion. The bread and tatziki was great and rhe portion was large. The rest of the food also had really good flavor. Thank you for a very enjoyable lunch!

Enjoyed this place as part of a walking tour that we had. The food was wonderful. It was a lot of food too! Just myself and my son had a 3 course meal and left very full. The food was prepared quickly, was well made and the service was above average especially considering the restaurant was full. The staff were nice. Strong recommendation for lunch.

This place was super nice and friendly. They were the only restaurant that didn't walk out and try to pull us in (probably because they were packed). When we sat down, the staff was quick but not pushy. The food was delicious and filling. They have Gluten free pita, which is stellar, and the Tzatziki was delicious. We got way too much food and took some home for later. It is a good first pick.

The Best Experience clients can wish for. The food was fantastic (the only place I was able to eat a Moussaka, delicious!), everyone who works at Greek Stories is extremely nice, attentive and resourceful, we felt like family. The food and the overall experience was so good that my husband and my kids insisted to go back every night we were in Athens, which is the best testimonial as I am the only one that has to eat wheat free and gluten free. Thank you Stefano, Andreas, and George. Big hug from Toronto Canada.

The place is very calm. You can sit outside or inside. On a sunday afternoon it wasn't busy. The restaurant could use some music, but that's my opinion. Staff is really friendly. The food is pretty good, average prices. The pork was a bit hard, but maybe because it isn't marinated. Still, the barbeque sauce and fries were tasty. Overall, a great meal. Would recommend going here. Food came quickly. Thank you for the dinner :)

What a hidden gem if you love Greek food! We had a very tasty lunch there after our local tour. Nice staff and very centric location. A place doesn’t need to be extremely cozy and elegant to serve good food.

We came across the restaurant on tripadvisor initially and then ended up walking past it early afternoon. The staff were exceeding friendly but not too pushy and so we came back for dinner. Some of the best Greek food we’ve had!! Menu had a wide variety of choice all with a Greek twist. The waiter gave some recommendations for starter and we had the cheese and tzatziki which was lovely. & then had a range of mains including pasta & the tomahawk. All was brilliant & could not recommend enough. To finish the restaurant gave us some Greek yoghurt and honey with nuts. Was just right at the end of a big meal. Definitely make time to visit when in Athens for some brilliant Greek food!

Food was good and excellently presented. The sea bream came with a sharp sour puree, picked beets and sautéed veggies which all went great with the fish. The bream was a bit more bonier then I thought it would be and I would not recommend it for people who never had fish prepared in this method. Octopus was delicious and the puree was perfect. Absolutely amazing! WHOLE MENU IS GLUTEN-FREE, amazing GF bread, moussaka, everything. Absolutely delicious, amazing staff and service, can really tell they've taken the time to make a traditional Greek gluten free menu. Would 100% reccomend if you're a coeliac in Athens (or just in Athens).

The food was excellent and the waiters were very friendly. I had the chicken gyros and the fries were cooked to perfection and the chicken was fresher than fresh. The tzatziki was very good. I have celiac disease as well and it was very amazing to go to this place with a full gluten free menu! Would definitely recommend if you can go to it. If you walk up the street a little at night you can see a beautiful view of the lit up acropolis as well.

The most amazing 100% gluten free food I have had in years. I would take the long flight back any weekend just to eat here again. So proud to add it to my gf app so others can find it. Staff were amazing.

Very tasty gluten-free food and excellent service! They were very very nice to us. We ate there twice and 1 day break in between and they remembered me and were super friendly :)

An amazing place, gluten free paradise in Athens!!! Vegan moussaka was fantastic, so delicious, I don't even want the normal meat version 😋 the fried croquettes were delicious as well as gyros and there is a good selection of desserts too! Wine was excellent 👌

Everything about this place is great! The Service is exceptional! The restaurant is a great for people watching. The food is flavorful and many gluten free and healthy options. You have to try their gluten free sourdough bread! It's one of the best gluten free breads I have ever eaten! We also ordered their falafel tacos - which were delicious, a healthy bowl which was fulfilling and their vegan moussaka which was scrumptious. At the end of the meal they brought us a complementary drink called mastiha and it was delightful! When we said we liked it and asked the server where we could buy a bottle, he brought us another round! Very generous! We really loved this restaurant and would definitely go back when in Athens.

It is a typical restaurant of the pedestrian area. Food was ok, not spectacular though. The atmosphere is that of an outdoor pedestrian area place. However, the service was excellent. I was lucky to be waited on be a very warm friendly young man, who’s name escaped my memory at the moment (see photos though)

Amazing local place, food was delicious. It’s located in a more crowded place than where we would regularly eat, but they have very nice tables inside, service couldn’t be better and I love how it’s so well presented!!! 5 star service. Very much recommended 🤩

After struggling to find safe gluten-free options around Athens (lots of Greek food is naturally gluten-free but we found that most restaurants didn’t have a lot of awareness on cross-contamination etc…) we decided to try Greek Stories based on the great reviews and it did not disappoint. Only one of our party of five eats gluten-free yet we all enjoyed our meal very much it was actually one of our favourite meals in Athens! The food was delicious and of great quality and the staff were very friendly and gave us free shots of Mastiha after our meal. This place really is a gluten-free heaven - the whole menu is gluten-free and they even had gluten-free baklava! I can especially recommend their gyros and moussaka. A bit on the pricier side but well worth it for a safe and enjoyable meal.

Sensational food at this restaurant! I would highly recommend the Tomahawk Pork Steak (pictured), it had that great grill flavor and it came with their own homemade spicy BBQ sauce - which I loved. You simply must visit this restaurant if you are in Athens. Amazing food, plus the nicest staff.

We've visited Greek Stories every day on our stay in Athens. It's an amazing place with an amazing vibe, smiling people who while serving are smiling genuinely. The food is amazing, everything we've eaten there was simply perfect. After the meal we were always offered a "digestive drink on the house" - after a half day of sightseeing I recommend drinking this sweet alcoholic drink, as it can envigour you for further excursion. We'picked Greek Stories in the beginning as they have all things gluten free, which was very important for us - after trying many of their dishes I can recommend the restaurant not only based on their allergen knowledge but also amazing taste and great service.

This place was such a disappointment, while it seems great on other reviews and looks, that’s not what it’s like in real life. It took us awhile to get used to the different in customer service in Greece but the truth is, men just don’t know how to service. While the food looked good, it was bland. When we finished eating, the waiters just stood there, smiling but didn’t bother to take our plates away. You will need to point everything out to them and personally this is not something we are used to because it should be common sense.

I cannot highly praise and appreciate this restaurant enough. First time traveling outside the country with a recent gluten allergy issue. It’s been tough to find things to eat, let alone meals. Not only was everything gluten free, the service super friendly and outstanding. We were in Athens for only 3 nights and went here a second time! I got to experience authentic Greece cuisine and enjoy every second of it. From the pita bread, to the pasta, to the desert. Incredible staff, service, and gluten sensitive dining at its finest! The atmosphere and drinks make it the perfect spot. Highly, highly would recommend!

Amazing gluten-free pitas! Difficult to find in Athens/Greece, but Greek Stories has it and it tasted amazing - very fresh. Divers menu with various dishes, typical Greek as well modern. With several vegan/vegetarian dishes.
