The food was very good and reasonably priced. We had the mushroom risotto, the vegetable moussaka and the fried calamari. It was all very good and the portions were great! The moussaka was really heavy! And we couldn't finish it.

(Translated by Google) Very nice place to dine. The moussaka is very rich, beautifully presented and tasty. The pork knuckle was a little dry on the outside, but very tasty too. They invite a little yogurt dessert at the end. They charge for the water, they don't put the bottle like traditional Greek restaurants.

(Translated by Google) Very good restaurant option to enjoy typical Greek food in Athens. The attention was impeccable, the very friendly staff spoke Spanish and recommended good dishes from the menu. The food is very rich and very good value for money. The lamb skewer is highly recommended! (Original) Muy buena opción de restaurante para disfrutar comida típica griega en Atenas. Wonderful neighborhood restaurant in the Plaka of Athens. Portions are generous and everything takes on a slightly elevated version of Yaya's cooking. We tried the spinach pie spring rolls and the tiny spheres of citrus and the creme fraiche added a different twist. The feta cheese in the greek salad was so fresh with a slight bite of a sour note. We are guessing it was made from sheeps milk. Traditional moussaka comes served in a cylindrical shape and was really quite divine. You must try the little kebobs for the appetizer. These come inside a small fresh pita grilled to a perfect crisp bite of juicy and flavorful sausage. The chocolate cake was a winner! Chocolate ganache on top and the cake itself was so moist and dark chocolatey rich. Thank you for making our first night ever in Athens a huge success.

Wow what a start to the trip, I had the Archaic Moussaka and it was fantastic. We also had the calamari and mussels to share between 4 (as appetisers) as the portion size was quite generous! Staff was really friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend it

What a wonderful choice for our night in Athens. Loved the location so much. A Greek friend recommended this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. We started with stuffed grape leaves and shared mixed seafood grill. Loved everything we ate and just had such a great time. Perfect beginning to our Greek adventure.

I am a vegetarian, so I would say they have small amount of options, but the portion size makes up for it. The inside atmosphere is okay, but the staff are very friendly. Service is excellent. They gave us a small desert on the house when we said we were full. Food is excellent. The falafel and veg moussaka is out of the world. Would highly recommend for tourists to visit this restaurant. If I went back to Athens, I would definitely revisit the restaurant.

Good option close to the acropolis and the Museum in Athens. Good food, probably too crowded, which can mean some delay in the dishes and some frustration on the waiters, who try their best but probably there are too many tourists. Still worth it.

This was the best place we ate in Athens! We went multiple times. It is in a great location, and the best part was it is nearly all gluten free! As a Celiac, I didn’t get sick and felt safe there. The servers were all knowledgeable, and they gave us a complimentary gluten-free brownie at the end. The gluten-free bread was also delicious!

Stopped in here after tour of Acropolis. Located on main street just at bottom of pedestrian walkway that runs next to Acropolis. Right across from Acropolis Museum. The archaic moustaka was fantastic. Steamed mussels were great & a large portion. Has indoor & sidewalk seating. Servers were extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Saw the good reviews so thought we’d give it a try. Food was good and reasonably priced but the star of the show here is the best and friendliest service we’ve seen anywhere in all of Europe. Pavlos and Yannis and Kosta really enjoy their work it it really shows! We had a blast talking and having fun with all of them. Highly recommend for an enjoyable evening. We had the grilled meat feast for two and it was enough for four!

My husband and I finished our morning at the Acropolis Museum and decided to grab lunch somewhere nearby. We walked by several restaurants and were warmly invited in by Arcadia. The staff was very nice and helpful. They spoke English and were welcoming to us, even though we are American tourists! In addition to the nice staff, the food was delicious. We got the trilogy dip appetizer (we loved this), the Arcadia salad with chicken, and the lamb souvlaki. Everything was phenomenal and perfectly flavored! They also surprised us with a surprise dessert on the house (special pastry made during Christmas time). Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

We found this restaurant based on review. The location is fine, food comes with quite OK portion size. Unfortunately it's too salty and beer is way too expensive: 8 EUR for a bottle. Be very careful of what you order and ask price first!

Five star food at great prices! Brother and I travelling from half way across the world and felt very welcome. Only 2 days in Athens and we wanted some good Greek food, had the chicken gyro and a type of fried cheese with a goat milk/sweet chutney mix. Amazing!

Me and my girlfriend went to lunch and we liked it so much that we walked half an hour at night expressly to return to the same place for dinner. Place was close to our hotel. There we enjoyed our first dinner in Athens during our Christmas holiday🤗 Strongly recommend their lemon hummus 🤤 it's delicious dip for everything. Greek coffee ☕ and sweet, melting in mouth baklava is perfect combination for dessert (I shared my piece with my husband. Could eat all😄) Service is excellent. Stuff is polite, fast and attentive 💕

Lots of gluten free options - pita bread, homemade bread, pasta, traditional plates like moussaka etc. I had with moussaka with pita bread and it was so delicious! A little on the pricier side but it is right next to the Acropolis. Staff was really knowledgeable about gluten and friendly also. I wish I had more days in Athena to eat here again.

Best & the most authentic food in Athens! Don’t be biased by the location (next to Acropolis and must be touristy!). The manager (Gianni) is very personable and friendly. We had a great time!

This has to be one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. The folks here were nothing but polite, willing to explain some of the traditional offerings on the menu, chat a bit, and even crack a few jokes. They made sure that we felt incredibly welcome. The food was also amazing. The mussels and pork gyros were absolutely incredible. If we have time while we're still in Athens, we will be coming back for sure.

Truly excellent and hospitable service. They even wished me a happy Chinese New Year! The archaic moussaka was very tasty but not outstanding with the minced lamb a little on the hard side. The rich yoghurt sauce was a refreshing complement to the heaviness of the dish. A complimentary brownie dessert was served when I asked for the bill.

Everything I ate was like made for gods! The Arcadia salad, saganaki, trilogy of homemade spreads, vegetarian mousaka as well as lemon cake were absolutely delicious and served with fantastic decoration. How this place doesn’t have a Michelin star is still a mystery to me—one that only gods can explain. 10/10

First off, is this a tourist trap, yes. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The gentleman who appeared to be the owner or manager apologized to us for having to have an employee stand at the road and flag down people to get them to come in. He said "Everyone else on the street does it, and we would not get any business if we did not sell ourselves to people walking by". I unfortunately have to totally agree, however, the other restaurants were far more pushy, where as Arcadia was very laid back and honest. We ordered the traditional Moussaka and spaghetti with shrimp. Both were awesome but the moussaka was absolutely wonderful. They also give bread to start and Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts for dessert which was a very light and delicious way to finish a heavy meal. Great atmosphere, great food, but pricey but worth it in my opinion. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean and well kept. The best parts were the food and the staff, which are 2 of the most important parts in any dining experience. We will definitely be returning to Arcadia! (Picture of moussaka was after we had split it to share)

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel receptionist & satisfied our need for some good Greek food without pretentions & the usual tourist trappings. Tables were well-spaced & the waiter was knowledgeable about the food, without being pushy. A most enjoyable evening. And for my vegetarian partner they have original and amazing options. Especially their risotto!

Good food, great taste.. however they need to get their service better. Respond to your customer quickly. Don’t make them wait 10 min to get extra ketchup. Check with your customer if everything they ordered is good and they like their food, after their meal gets on the table.

Nice Greek restaurant. The food is decent, nothing amazing though. Maybe because it's in a very touristy area. I think the mousaka was reheated. Also note that not all seafood is fresh. Any dish on the menu with a star near it is frozen.

Gluten free people, eat here or at Greek Stories (completely GF) next door! Very bustling restaurant but the service was still polite and efficient. Food was excellent, much better than I expected for a tourist area. Ordered the trip of dips. Tzatziki and hummus were delicious. Fava was very meh. I ordered the lamb souvlaki, it was delicious! Perfectly cooked and of good quality. Only thing that wasn’t great was the kinda mediocre wine list (by the glass) but I can live with that. I’d eat here again. Give it a try.

Fantastic service from very experienced wait staff. They are very attentive to those with food allergies, going above and beyond to make it a safe experience. Aperitifs at the end of the meal we’re special too. Highlights were the grill (pictured are 2 x lamb souvlaki tailored to allergy requirements, 1 x chicken souvlaki) and the traditional moussaka. Recommend to book ahead to get outdoor seating at all times. Gyros looked fantastic from what I could see, will be trying next time!

We had an excellent dinner at Arcadia. The service was attentive and very friendly. Extremely accommodating for gluten- free, in fact they realized they had put croutons on a salad for our gluten free person and went back to make a new salad. The food was great. The salmon portion was so large I had to give a quarter of it Ti my husband. Excellent salads, fresh and large with tasty dressing. Well prepared Greek classics like moussaka. The location next to the Acropolis Museum is busy and there are a lot of restaurants and people trying to pull you in. Arcadia wasn’t like that- they treated us like old friends (including writing down recommendations for restaurants on Santorini and Naxos) and were very attentive to our gluten-free requirements. Overall we had a great experience.

Loved it! Great food, warm and friendly staff as always. Don't be afraid to ask about what's good on the menu. Acardia salad was unlike anything I've ever tasted.

We decided to visit the resaturant through the many reviews and decided to order 4 dishes for 2. I must say that the Grilled Octopus is to our likings but not the Grilled Lamp Chops and the Grilled whole Sea Bream. The Grilled Lamb Chops had more bones and fats than meat, and the Grilled whole Sea Bream were a little burnt and overcooked and dry, but still, I must say that it is very fresh. I can only say I have tried better food around the same areas over the past 3 days in and around the same locations.

Really great service and hospitality at this cozy little spot in Plaka. Food was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the wine selection was great as well. Their servers will go above and beyond to make sure you have a special and memorable experience. I will definitely be going back when I visit Athens again. Oh and get the Baklava!!!

Located at the back of Acropolis Museum, this restaurant is one of many along the street. We picked this one as I was craving for a good calamari; well a great pick. The calamari appetizer is just great, crispy with a mustard/mayo dip on the side. We added falafel and seafood risotto to complete our dinner. Perfect.

Arcadia salad was really good - sweet and refreshing. Lamb chops was a little too fatty and difficult to eat. Lamb moussaka was interesting, the lamb was tender Juice was good but it is not made in house and you can get it at the convenience store.

My recent visit to Arcadia restaurant, renowned as one of the best Greek dining establishments, was exceptional. Waiters Giovanni and Dimitri provided excellent service. Giovanni, in particular, was knowledgeable and attentive. The food, including quinoa salad, grilled octopus, and falafel with hummus, was a culinary delight. Arcadia lives up to its reputation as one of the finest Greek restaurants. Highly recommended for both its cuisine and service.

Very good food and Dimitri was an exceptional waiter. Ordered the sea bass fillet and a traditional Greek salad to start. I had 2 glasses of Metaxa 7 stars, which never disappoints. They brought over a plate of complimentary brownies which were very rich. Had to get a double Greek Coffee for that, lol. All in all, highly recommended.

Nice location after tour of Acropolis and the museum. Right in Front of the metro. Lemon hummus was creamy, grill octopus was yummy, and chicken skewer was delicious. Free desert was nice too.

Fabulous place along a street of restaurants and bars within a touristy area with indoor/outdoor seating. The good news is that they do NOT allow smoking anywhere within the restaurant inside or out. I thoroughly enjoyed the lemon salmon atop black rice. The salmon was fresh and the lemon sauce was light and flavourful. The black rice was served cold and what I loved most is all of the veggies that were part of the dish were diced to same size of the rice. This made for a balanced mouthful of flavour and texture with each mouthful. The service was relaxed and attentive as the waitstaff were all pleasant and eager to smile and assist. I lingered and enjoyed a yummy traditional Greek digestive after lunch and watched the world wander by. I highly recommend the food and experience. Enjoy.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and evening. The food was delicious, I would highly recommend the Moussaka. Servers were very attentive and knowledgeable, and were especially helpful with informing me of Gluten Free options on the menu. Nice atmosphere, in a good location. Check it out if you are in Athens!

Fantastic food, awesome and friendly service and a very good list of wines (ask for recommendations from the staff as they really know the varieties!)
