Really pleasant place that goes above and beyond to welcome you and uplift your overall experience of Athens. The staff organise activities every evening, which might include a free glass of wine or popcorn, and they are super helpful and friendly with sightseeing recommendations and practical stuff like getting to the airport. The bed and the room was comfortable and quiet, and the kitchen and bathrooms are clean. The lockers are big and everyone gets one. I was able to work here with stable wifi and the common area being spacious and having power outlets. It’s very well located - it may seem edgy if you arrive from the north, but straight across the road from the hostel is where the really fancy stuff and important sights in Athens begins. I really didn’t have a single issue with the place, and I extended my stay.

I loved my short stay at this hostel. The front desk was kind and helpful. The beds were comfortable, and the blankets were cozy. The shower was a little small. They had USB ports next to each bed. The location was excellent for walking around the main tourist spots and the meat and fish markets. My favorite activity near here was The Greek Kitchen. This was a Greek cooking class that I highly recommend doing. It's delicious food and fun. There's a breakfast place connected to it that had some of the best breakfast food I had while in Greece. It was expensive, but you get a discount by staying at City Circus.

Great stay for budget travelers! Rooms are comfortable enough for a couple nights. There are lockers big enough for your stuff in the rooms and a decent amount of outlets. I liked that it was a smaller hostel, although it wasn’t very social. They had some events but it’s definitely more of a lowkey type of vibe. Overall, great value for what you get and an incredible location. I did the pub crawl and it was fine but you would be better off doing something on your own with others.

The rooms were nice, clean and organized. Lockers in the room are available. Service is quite friendly and helpful. Location is central to many restaurants and near the town everything just minutes away.

Budget friendly option when in Athens. Good beds and nice roof top terrace. The noise from the bars few doors down can be loud. The breakfast that was served next door was amazing!

My stay there was great! The rooms are nice and clean and the service was the best i had in my life. They help me book many of my trips and gave me goid tips about the city. I am sure i will return there next time im in athens.

Really cool place for friends or couples who like to hang out. The neighborhood is full of nice bars and restaurants. Acropolis is at walking distance. The different clerks we talked to were really nice and helpful (and were wearing masks!). Room was clean. Mattress was a bit firm to my taste. Breakfast is really good.

Center of the city, with 24 hours reception, staffs are always helpful. Get a 15% discount coupon for the restorant downstairs. The food is very good. There is also a very good bakery just opposite the hostel, which opened very early in the morning. Even the locals come here for their bread.

Nice and friendly staff, amazing (vegan) breakfast and nice and clean room with bathroom. I recommend this place.

Overall the hostel was very beautiful, clean, and in a good location. My only issue were the extremely strict quiet hours. After I want to say 10:30-11 the receptionist wouldn’t even let us sit in the common area down stairs away from rooms to hang out…. They also wouldn’t let us go hangout on the the roof top area so that was pretty much useless. We met a great group of friends that were all staying in the hostel and we weren’t able to hangout with them there. The receptionist literally said we can go stand outside on the street and hangout there??? So it is safe to say it if you are wanting to stay at a hostel that you can actual hangout and converse in after 11pm I would say book at another one nearby. We meet many people who stayed at places close by and it seemed a lot more relaxed.

By far one of the best hostels I've stayed at! The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, willing to help/ show you around. The kitchen and shared spaces are all super funky, colourful and clean. The rooms are really nice, the mattresses are a cloud. Cannot recommend enough. THANK YOU!

My friend and I traveled to Athens and really enjoyed our stay at the City Circus. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, they gave us great recommendations for what to see and eat. The location is very central, but on a very quiet street which is a nice escape from the generally very touristy area. Our room had a great view of the Acropolis as well!

Perfect location, hospitality was tip top - we were given a map and even a short but thorough guide on places we might be interested in visiting. Room was made up everyday. Acropolis visible from the rooftop. Breakfast was superb!

A good location near the food district and walking distance from all of the major sites. We stayed in a family room which was perfect, the kids especially loving their 'upstairs room'. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. Only criticism was the communal kitchen which is very limited. Only a wok and a saucepan in terms of pans.

Fantastic hostel in the heart of Athens bustling, vibrant nightlife. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service at the front desk is exemplary. The entire team made us feel so welcome and provided so many great recommendations. I highly recommend staying at City Circus.

I’m going to do another review due to a lot happening during our stay. We had issues with our room being hot and humid due to the air conditioning being turned off whenever we left the room and we understand there’s an energy crisis but there was no airflow in the room and sleeping was terrible. They asked us to open a window so we did, only to come back to our room with the window closed… Our sheets were damp when we first arrived and we thought maybe it was the humidity, but it turns out they just weren’t dried enough. They got them changed but the problem was more that they made us feel like we were stupid for asking. After writing a previous review, the manager wanted to speak with us but unfortunately it was late at night and we were leaving in the morning. A worker talked with us instead and we explained our frustrations and she was understanding and nice. The only off putting thing was she said if we want to stay here next time to maybe choose a different room but we didn’t know where our room was going to be in the first place. Location is wonderful though and the rooms were clean. Overall, the stay was very much a solid 3/5.

Really nice place, centrally located in walking distance to the things you might have on your list in Athens, but also to lots of great restaurants and bars. Rooms are spacious (I was in a 4 bed female dorm), beds are comfy and not squeaky. But special thanks to Will and his (Greek) colleague at reception and the other staff, everyone was super welcoming and friendly. It’s not a party hostel but very chill and laid back, perfect place to arrive or chill in Athens :)

Amazing hostel. Great location, the room was very comfortable and the facilities (room, shower, bathroom, lobby, etc…) were exceptionally clean. Management and reception were extremely helpful and kind. Would definitely stay here again! Also, the circus theme was a super cute added touch. 10/10 recommend.

One of the cleanest hostels I've ever been to. Too expensive to be a real hostel though. We had two beds in a 4 bed dorm that cost us about $100AUD a night. At that price there are plenty of air bnbs that are much nicer. Other than the cost, there wasn't much of an atmosphere. With a hostel this big, its not as easy to meet people. They did have nightly activities though.

I really liked staying here, the location was perfect and the rooms were well set up. My score would've been higher, but I got done by bedbugs in room 102.

DONT GOT TO THIS HOSTEL. Worts hostel ever. My and the Airpods of my friend were stolen. We had our stuff in the lockers and somebody opend it and looked in our Backpacks. The women at the reception didnt do anything and said nobody of the hostel employees was it.

The best hostel I have stay in. Beds are like a dream, great water pressure in the showers, drinkable tap water, comfortable communal areas for working or hanging out, helpful staff and a great restaurant next door. 10/10

Nothing for bad comment. The location is really 5 mins from Metro Line M3. The room is spotless. The staff are nice and speak good english. I am coming back there for the next time.

Had a great time at this hostel! Plenty of social activities going on to meet other travelers. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Great facilities like laundry service, laptops you can use etc. Rooms are good too; plenty of locker space, comfortable beds, power outlet and space to put your stuff by the bed. Would definitely come here again!

Cheap prices, courteous employees and a central location make "City Circus" the best place to stay while in Athens. Not to forget the roof terrace which enables a beautiful view of the Akropolis, especially during nighttime when everything´s illuminated.

The perfect spot for a low budget stay 8n Athens. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are super clean and modern and the location is perfect for the vintage traveler. At night, the area is packed with bars and restaurants and the streets go live.

Better than any hotel experience. We took the premium comfort room, excellent bed, spacious bathroom, cutting edge design, parthenon view, very nice breakfast and super friendly helpful staff.

Great place to stay, perfectly located, great staff and very helpful, they provide a list with recommendations of where to go out, we the family room, very clean with everything you need. They have a nice little rooftop terrace from where you can see the Acropolis. The restaurant on ground floor provides 15% discount for staying in the hostel, very nice place with great food and great prices. Definitely recommend.

staff are helpful, dorms and en suite bathroom are excellent, but note that many amenities are stopped because of covid (laundry service, events, etc.) and that breakfast is not included unless you book directly

Best hostel I have been so far! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room is super clean and cozy and the bed is super comfy. The location is superb, close to metro and flea market and bars and restaurant ... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

As others have said, this is one of the better hostels I have been to. The location is excellent and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was laid back and mature. I was thankful that it was not crowded with a bunch of drunk people stumbling into the room late at night.

Great hostel if you want to the enjoy the city of Athene. It is right in the middel. Really kind personel with a lot of good tips. Rooms were clean and fairy big for a hostel. No tv.

Had our room ready early! So that was great as we were jet lagged. Had recommendations on where to go. For the breakfast, it was good but you can definitely go somewhere else to explore the city more (it is a seat-down rather than a buffet). They had things that you can do (wine tasting, bar hopping)!

I had a great stay here! The location was super close to a lot of major sights and restaurants, and the room was spacious and clean. The shower was also very nice. The only thing I would say is that the toilet was a bit smelly, but looked clean otherwise. Had a good area in the lobby for relaxing and an accessible kitchen. It was also nice to sit on the rooftop and relax as well. I felt safe as a solo female traveler.
