Also when I stood outside there were 2 homeless people coming out of the ruin across the street. I only stayed 1 night to continue my trip to a Greek island. Couple that owns it is very friendly though.

It is not much good hostel but if you want to save some money then it's a good choice to stay for 1 or 2 nights. The owner is a Sri Lankan family and they are really nice. But they don't have a 24 hrs reception.

Nice & simple place to stay. Clean and very basic. Hostel has a big rooftop to hang out on. Staff was very friendly, too. But don't expect luxury. There's one toilet combined with a shower, no TVs in the rooms.

Seriously this place needs to be shut down. The owner is friendly but that’s it. There are no indoor communal areas no kitchen facilities the rooftop is a danger to get to you could fall off the building if you miss a step. Also the building is poorly maintained the shower is mouldy and shower head positing is too low at about 1.4m of the ground not to mention little to no hot water, at the time my friend and I where the only ones in the building. The building was very cold in February and we had two tiny heaters. When we explored around town the second wall heater was removed leaving us with a tiny heater lamp to heat a 6 bed dorm. All bedding stunk and we felt Unwell after our stay.

We (me and two other friends) got a private room for 15 euros each without booking on advance. The building is old and the hostel doesn't look fancy but I guess it is worth the price. There is AC in the room we had balcony where you can smoke and the staff is friendly.

I have stayed in this hostel for 4 nights, I haven't encountered any major issues at all, clean rooms, nice rooftop, very close to the main train station, supermarket is a 5mins walking distance, a nice Greek kebab is 300m away where you can buy a delicious kebab roll for €2.50, owner is kind and friendly and I admire his efforts to improve things at the hostel.
