My teenage son and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant. The food tasted amazing, and there was plenty of it. We had one starter to share, raita, a curry each and two naans (no rice), and we were not able to finish it all. The service was very kind and helpful, but at times a bit too busy talking. It was no problem ordering in English. Being from Scandinavia, we found the prices to be very reasonable, but compared to other restaurants we have tried, I would imagine that the locals might find the prices a bit high.

Food is pretty good, but service was terrible. The guy was so rude and he didn't care at all. He has long hair and he was walking around the tables touching his hair, which is really not hygenical! Also, he didn't mention that rice is not included in main dish, so when he brought the dish we ordered rice, which took some time of course and our food was getting cold. We don't consider going back.

Recommend getting: Onion garlic naan, Zafrabi korma chicken🥘 (SO CREAMY), the biryani rice with lamb, Saag paneer🥬 (they don’t skimp on the paneer either), Chana masala, and mango lassis to drink 🥭. Or the mango tea! This + 2 roti and another naan dish is PLENTY of food for 5 people. Why not ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sadly, they only have ice cream for dessert (I would have really loved some Indian classics). This + the prices are why I give it 4 stars. Wish the vegetable dishes and paneers were either 10-20% larger or the prices were 20% lower (meat dishes are very fairly priced and a good size, especially the biryani). If you share plates with 3+ people, you will spend $10-15/person and leave full, possibly with leftovers. Indoor and outdoor seating (with heat lamps). Great vibe. Not too loud. Good lighting. Menus are in Greek and English and the waiters speak some English too, don’t worry.

Had to check the place since there were so many reviews. The service was great but the food was not as expected. The pilaf rice was missing flavor as it was obvious it was only boiled rice in water without the essential spices. The curry was bland and the chicken pieces were as if cooked separately. Need improvement.

I first came to this place on Saturday, November 17 on the 45th anniversary of the Athens Polytechnic uprising. Most businesses and roads were closed in the neighborhood where I was staying and I was advised to stay away from public areas. It ended up being a slow night for them, but I ended up staying for more than 2 hours because I talked with the staff and Angelos who had a lot of great stories. The food here is great. I ate here for six straight nights and Bhuna and Chili Chicken Curry were great although my favorite was the Chicken Tandoori. The Pilau Rice is delicious and the portions are generous. It is tucked in a quiet area around a 10-minute walk from the Panepistimiou metro station so it is easy to get to. This is their second branch and after trying it it is no wonder why the first location was such a smashing hit. The staff is nice and efficient. It is a wonderful place for a quiet dinner alone or with company. I wanna thank the guys there for making my meals and my trip to Athens memorable. I recommend Pink Elephant for the delicious food, comfortable environment, and amazing people.

At first: Good atmosphere, good food, BUT: the price is definitely too high for that kind of food. We paid 34 € for two people and only ordered two curries and a rice. (That the rice is not included into the first price might be still acceptable but that every new plate of rice costs extra is not. We didn't get informed about that and therefore ordered just more, since more rice in indian restaurants is usually for free. Even the tap water has been replaced without an order and then got charged when we wanted to pay. The service was kind but not customer friendly and they didn't see any mistake in not informing us about the extra charge.

If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Indian dining experience, I highly recommend checking out Pink elephant. The restaurant's pakoras are simply amazing - the vegetables are perfectly cooked and the batter is perfectly spiced, making each bite a delight. Their chicken tikka masala is also one of the best I've ever had. The chicken is incredibly tender and the tomato-based sauce is perfectly balanced with spices, making it the ideal comfort food. In addition to the more traditional dishes, the restaurant also offers a unique twist on a fruit salad by combining pineapple with Indian spices and herbs, creating a refreshing and flavorful salad that complements the rest of the meal perfectly. And while noodles may not be a traditional Indian dish, the restaurant's version is definitely worth a try. The noodles are cooked to perfection and infused with spices that give them a unique and delicious flavor. Overall, the food at Pink elephant is exceptional and will definitely satisfy your cravings for Indian cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends and family. The service is also friendly and attentive, making for an all-around wonderful dining experience!!

Excellent indian restaurant in the heart of the city. If you want to try a lot of different plates, the tandoori mix grill for two is exceptional.

This is by far one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever tried. They offer amazing selection of items. I'm absolutely in love with their chicken curry mango, one week I ordered it for 3 times in a row. For deliveries they are pretty fast as well. I want to express more lines for the quality of the food...it is somehow very very tasty, very very good. I cannot explain it, you eat and you feel amazing. Eating their food is a delight for you tongue. It's an explosion of flavors. Btw, this place has one of BEST chicken curry ever. If you order the mango one, you will find pineapple and mango chunks inside ...WOWOWOW so so yummy! The quality of the food is SUPER FRESH. IT'S JUST INCREDIBLE.

I ordered take away, so cannot comment on service/atmosphere. But wow, the food was awful. I received 3 orders of chicken pakora. I barely ate half the first order, and threw the other 2 in the trash. Borderline non-edible. It was *that* bad. Dry, chewy chicken. Not remotely fresh. Awful coating, not crisp at all. The whole thing was almost certainly days-old, defrosted and re-heated. I've had better microwave chicken than this. Just terrible. They should be embarrassed to serve food this bad. I'll give them 1-star for the food not making me actively sick. At least, not yet.

Once I was in this restaurant 2 years ago, it was delicious, so this week I decided to have a delivery to my house. Service was fine, but the food not so much. The Okra dish was SO salty and over-spiced, I could not eat it (and I am usually not picky). It also didnt taste like Okra and the Okra were more "hard" as if they had dried for days in the sauce. The Garlic Naan was quite dry, I mean I expected something different from the picture on the delivery page. Same with the Pilao Rice, which I remember as an explosion of flavours - and now it was white rice with a little extra. Unfortunately my stomach also hurt this and the next day 🙈

I ordered Okra Masala, Garlic and Onion Naan and Fried Rice with Veggies. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options too. And the place is very cute and cozy vibes. 😍 It was amazing.. Felt like eating at home in India.. When you live in Europe it is sometimes hard to find home like food.. Chris served me food and he was amazing in his work… Very friendly and always with a smile😇

Most authentic Indian food I have had in Europe so far. We tried rajma masala, bombay aaloo and garlic-onion naan and I was transported back home. The staff was extremely kind. They also replaced rajma masala for free because I ordered extra hot one and couln't bear the heat. The portions were just perfect as well.

Completely by chance we passed by this place an early evening. Colors around, relaxing music, warm place and the smell of spicy sauce, made us to give it a try....Clearly it was a lucky evening! Everything ordered, were so well cooked, fresh and tasty with many flavors around! Service was very friendly and helpful as well! You feel like you were invited to their home for a dinner! Maybe little bit expencive though. I would also like some more options with local Indian drinks ;) Thank you

Best zafrani korma! I’ve been to so many places, but this had the most authentic taste. The staff was extremely welcoming. From staff to ambiance, everything was perfect. Would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!!!

The food was delicious! The menu had a big variety of vegan and vegetarian meals, as well as a choice of spiciness. Me and a friend had the chickpea chips, the onion bhaji, rice, a portion of curry korma with chicken and onion/garlic naan. Everything was very tasty, especially the korma.

Indian restaurants are becoming more popular in Athens, but we always find ourselves coming back to this one. The menu is rich, the staff are friendly, and the environment is charming. It just gets better and better every time we visit the Pink Elephant.

Have been in Athens for two months and dined at Pink Elephant five times. Excellent food at great prices is the norm at this restaurant. Additionally, the outside dining area is set up well and very pleasant. Love this place!

Best biriyani I have had in years! Really tastes like home. Although, I would have liked to have the gravy and poppadoms with the biriyani as is customary in most Indian restaurants. The naan with feta cheese and potatoes were a new and inventive twist, beautifully spiced. Sweet lassi underperformed in my personal opinion but really trendy and chic decor. As compared to other Indian restaurants in the area, the price is definitely higher, I would 100% revisit if the prices were made a bit more competitive in terms of the area. Wonderful little gem in downtown Athens though.

I had THE MOST upsetting experience in Athens, if not in my entire life. We ordered food 9:40 PM and we waited till 10:50 PM until my husband got up to talk them with the response of “all the tables came together what can we do”, not even one apology .. 10 minutes later we see food arriving at tables that came 30-40 minutes after we did!!! We got really upset about that and wanted to cancel our order, the waiter comes our way with our appetizer 1 hour 20 minutes after we ordered it in such a rude manner. I am sure no one trained him on how to deal with upset customers. Again no apology, no explanation instead his response “so what do I do what do I do take your food for free (as if we need free food)” body language was super rude. We got up and left, and will not consider going back. Instead, we went to Blue Bamboo (Thai) you should all try it out, we really felt the difference in customer service and ambience. No matter how good food is, well we did not try it, the staff energy and attitude is TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE.

I'm surprised seeing the reviews here rating the place with 5 stars. Ambiance and the interior is nice but the food quality is below average much better places to taste Indian food in Athens and with better prices. We were a group of people so I tried from several dishes and they were all pretty bad but also way off the intended recipe.

Unfortunately even though though the food was excellent, I would not visit this restaurant again. We waited 35 minutes to order and another hour for our food. One of the two servers (the woman) was extremely rude and almost annoyed at the fact that we were concerned about our order. Two of the dishes we ordered never came and she insisted that one of them did. The bill they gave us was miscalculated and even though they gave us a discount in the end for the delay, the final cost of some items were scribbled out on the handwritten bill itself. Overall unprofessional and disappointing.

I can't express how much I enjoy dinning in this place. Their curry is just - tasteful - filled with so many flavours and textures I have yet to find in another restaurant in Athens. It really is a must try!

Friendly establishment that makes amazing butter chicken, but not just that of course. The waiter was bilingual in Greek and English and perhaps even more languages and was very helpful and professional. I recommend going on an empty stomach 🤩
