Mona Athens certainly manages to be unique, which is not easy in the days of insta-friendly copy-cat interiors. The industrial heritage is very visible, softened with beautiful drapes, and raw cotton sheets and towels. The location is perfect for main attractions, lively bars and restaurants. Breakfast is very generous and delicious. The rooftop honesty bar with views of the Acropolis is a real treat. Most times we went there we had it to ourselves. I would highly recommend if you want something a bit different. Also ask the hotel to book transfers from airport. Very reasonable and great cars!

This is by far one of the most fantastic hotels I've stayed in. The rooms are stunning. The attention to detail is world class. The breakfast is delicious, the honesty bar ( that right you ready correctly) is stocked with beautiful drink selection and amazing views. Then there are the staff who are so accommodating. If you are coming to Athens, this is the place to stay.

The bed! The tub! The food! And, of course, the staff! Everything was deliciously sumptuous and so far beyond my imagination. I didn’t want to leave the cloud of pillows on my bed, and only did so because the lure of the giant soaking tub was so strong. The atmosphere is sexy and swanky and as soon as you enter your room, you will understand why this hotel is levels above the rest. Mona is elegant and artsy and all the things an urban Athens hotel should be. The service was impeccable, and every staff member reminded me that attention to details matter. I can’t wait to return!

Mona Athens is outstanding. It's an oasis from the heat and noise of Athens and it was my favorite part of our trip. The rooms are comfortable and so gorgeous it's like stepping into a magazine editorial. The service is also above and beyond—we were upgraded to a balcony room and the staff were all warm, kind, and so helpful. The care and attention to detail are far above the price point. I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay here!

Had a wonderful stay at the incredible Mona. The location is right in the center of Athens with a rooftop that provides a breathtaking view. A place where finest design meets local artists. It has the most amazing interior and the friendliest staff! Definitely will come back! Thanks for the experience

What an incredible experience. This hotel is nothing like I ever visited - and I have traveled the world. Attention to detail, inspired design and incredibly helpful staff. Loved the breakfast selection too. I can't wait to come back to Athens to stay!

Amazing experience. The team are lovely, the rooms so beautiful and generous, and the breakfast abundant and delicious! I loved the open-air balcony outside of my room and the rooftop is fantastic for sitting and enjoying the afternoon and sunset over the Acropolis. The bed especially was so comfortable with just the best linens, I want to take them home. One of the best stays I've had anywhere!

This hotel is abseloitley amazing. Personal and professional care, the lobby is beautiful and is a great place to work from. The rooftop is mesmerizing and it was perfect to have the delicious breakfast and watching the Acropolis directly :) The design is so special and innovative, it was really a great experience staying there.

Expectations were high, and absolutely exceeded. The rooftop ‘honest’ bar with views of the acropolis is the perfect way to unwind, but the rooms are so comfortable it’s hard to want to leave. The creative direction of the space is immaculate and collaborations with local artisans ranging from coffee purveyors to cotton robes were well thought out and made the experience. Wish we weren’t leaving, and will definitely come back.

This place is gorgeous and the location is great. We stayed on 4th floor and had a cute patio. The room is open concept. If looking for privacy, this is not the hotel. It’s very romantic and was great for our honeymoon. The included breakfast is delicious. I got eggs and power Greek yogurt bowl. Fresh squeezed Orange juice was a great add. We unfortunately didn’t get to use the terrace because a wedding occupied it. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the stairs are slippery. On my way out (wearing slip on flats and sober) I fell down the stairs and really hurt my foot. It really put a damper on the honeymoon since I have two weeks to go. If they placed protection on the stairs, the hotel would be perfect.

Loved my stay at Mona. Beautiful rooms and thoughtful service. I had to leave early for the airport, and not only did they call a taxi for me but they had breakfast packed to go which was amazing! While this hotel is very aesthetic, if you have mobility issues this might not be the hotel for you - my room had a couple of different "levels" (ie bathroom was elevated) and the faucet was hard to turn. I loved the stay but I think my older parents may have had issues. This shouldn't detract from your stay but hope this is helpful for others <3

Very cool industrial style hotel in the center of the trendy quarter Psyrri, surrounded by cool restaurants and rooftop bars. The staff is very kind and helpful, the concept of the hotel is very relaxed and there is also a 24/7 open rooftop area. Rooms are spacious and clean. We will certainly come back.

The design and details of the hotel are wonderful, we loved the interior of our room, the curated playlists, the wooden/copper bathroom details and of course the rooftop! Breakfast was also a great menu, it was just a shame that it arrived 15 mins later than our order and was too cold to eat! Most of the staff we found very friendly and welcoming but unfortunately not all. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for boutique design/location etc but factor in plenty of time for check in/meals etc.

While this hotel is pretty in pictures, unfortunately it lacks comfort, hygiene and service. The toilet seat is inside the bedroom with no walls (The toilet seat is literally a meter away from the pillow) The shower is open to the bedroom, the water from the shower splatters under the bed as there is no separation between the shower and the bed, the window inside the shower is made of velvet and ended up being soaked in water every time you showered. The manager said it was part of the concept- which didn’t make sense because it’s totally not hygienic and difficult to use. Upon check in the receptionist said that the hotel is a 5 stars hotel, although the service is almost nonexistent (there are no phones in the room) The breakfast is below average, they bought croissants from outside the hotel and lacked basics like hot coffee. This is an honest review as the ones we saw didn’t reflect the price and the true experience.

Definitely one of the more unique hotels I’ve been to in Athens. Very close to the best shops and restaurants. Lovely room and helpful staff. Will definitely come back soon!

We stayed at Mona for one night last month and I wish we could have stayed for a week. We booked the amour room which had an amazing layout & large soaker tub. The decor and amenities were 10/10. All of the products smell amazing, the soft linen sheets and housecoats and bamboo slippers made it so luxurious. The service was impeccable. The rooftop patio was so lovely with views of the acropolis and an honest bar, tons of seating for hanging out. We will definitely be back one day! With love from Canada 💗

I spent my birthday at Mona, and I couldn't have had a better, more enjoyable, and relaxing time. The hotel and room were stunning, with so much attention and love evident in all their details, from great artworks to fantastic music playlists. Almost everything is custom-made. The rooftop bar is a beautiful and fun place to hang out with a breathtaking view of the Acropolis. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, and one can choose to have it in the dining area, on the roof, or delivered directly to the room. Staying there feels like entering a whole world of its own, right in the epicenter of Athens. The staff is super friendly and genuinely caring. Thank you for such a great stay!

I stayed 3 days/nights last week and loved it so much. The atmosphere is quite mesmerising, beautiful decor and a great attention to details, such as the very well curated playlists adding perfectly to the ambiance. Felt transported as soon as I walked into the room and heard it in the background. The bedding was super comfy and the room just delightful. Service was excellent from start to finish, loved being able to chat with reception via the room iPad, so handy and fast. The rooftop bar is super stylish too, and the breakfast delicious. Location super central. Can’t wait to come back.

Our stay was just perfect! The staff were amazing and we were able to quickly and easily communicate to them through the iPad in our room. They organised room service, early breakfast before we left and a taxi to the airport for us which meant we had more time to focus on our stay. The room was absolutely beautiful, and you could tell a lot of love and consideration went in to every detail. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was truly one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! The room was a work of art and so comfortable. The location couldn't have been bette and the staff was incredibly accommodating- they even packed us our breakfast to go for an early flight in the morning. Stay here if you get the chance!

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was nearly the size of my urban house, with an expansive patio, great amenities, glorious bathtub and bed, and very attentive staff. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. I was there at the tail end of a work trip, and took 2 extra nights as it was my first time away from my toddler. It was relaxing as hell, down to the curated playlist, which I’m still listening to today. Thank you Mona and co! I hope to be back someday.

The Mona Athens hotel is a truly remarkable experience! This boutique hotel offers spacious, well-appointed rooms that are both comfortable and stylish. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the lovely decor to the thoughtful amenities. The service is exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who are always on hand to ensure that your stay is a memorable one. And the breakfast is simply fantastic, with a delicious array of options to start your day off right. But perhaps the greatest asset of the Mona Athens is its prime location in the heart of Athens city center. Whether you're here for business or pleasure, you'll find it easy to explore all that this wonderful city has to offer. I highly recommend the Mona Athens hotel to anyone looking for a truly delightful stay in Athens!

Mona Athens is the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed at, by far. The room was clean, and the decor was stunning. Service was very friendly, with help available 24/7, and the breakfast brought to my room in the morning was delicious. There's no where else I would even consider staying at next time I'm in Athens.

Our experience at Mona Athens far exceeded our expectations - the service was above and beyond and all staff were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, our bags were taken from our hands, and our room included an iPad for us to text the front desk with any questions or concerns. The room was comfortable, I enjoyed the quality of the bed and the linens, the curtains blocked out city lights, and the space was well kept, clean, and minimalistic. The room was cool with AC and had a phenomenal bath tub and good quality speakers. We also had tea and coffee in the room, two complimentary bottles of water. Aside from the amazing customer service, the complimentary breakfast and rooftop area were our other favorite aspects of this stay. We frequently went to the top to view the acropolis, eat our breakfast, etc. Even when we had to leave and check out early for our flight, the receptionist packed us a great to go breakfast and ordered our taxi. The location was perfect too and walking distance to everything!! Thank you so much for our amazing welcome to Athens and Greece!

Wonderful hotel, the decor is just spot on, every detail thought about and made for a unique stay. Lovely soft bed sheets, huge bath, Bluetooth speaker, linen robe. So many beautiful and unique items everywhere, including artwork. We were kindly upgraded which was a lovely surprise. The staff were very friendly and attentive and they even let us join a private party when we returned to the hotel in the early hours! Location is perfect to get to restaurants, bars and we booked a treatment at the Polis Hammam which we would also recommend (was fantastic). Breakfast on the rooftop terrace with the best view of the Acropolis and perfect Sunday morning tunes playing. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I went to Mona just after new year and had the most amazing experience. We were delighted and couldn't dream for a better place : location is great to walk pretty much anywhere around the city night/day. Staff was most welcoming, helping and kind. Hotel design was simply astonishing, we truly loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend ! PS: everything they make for breakfast is incredible.

I stayed here with my partner in July last year and it was STUNNING. The hotel is modern and the rooms are sexy. Breakfast was devine and the view from the rooftop bar was incredible. I could have easily just stayed in the hotel the whole time! We will book again when we return to Athens.

I have stayed here twice now and absolutely adore this hotel. The decor is divine, it feels so homely and comfortable and all the products selected are high quality. I love that they provide a Bluetooth speaker in the rooms and their music playlist is awesome. Highly recommend using the bathtub! Breakfast is delicious and you can order food to your room. The wines they sell are really different to the usual Greek wines and taste wonderful. The rooftop is gorgeous and such a lovely area to hang out in. The service is impeccable, the staff are so friendly and warm. Fantastic location to shopping, restaurants and major sights of Athens. We walked everywhere with no trouble. And my favourite thing about them is they are dog friendly so I didn’t have to leave the pups at home!

Whilst this hotel is beautiful it’s not practical. The building is lovely, and location is very convenient - especially if you’re only in Athens for a short stay. When we arrived the front door was locked, other guests were also confused and waiting. We weren’t given any instructions prior so waited for someone from the front desk to arrive. Mind you this was not a out of hours, they keep the front door locked. Once we had the code entering and exiting was easy. If you are looking for somewhere quiet this isn’t it. Prior to our stay we were invited to a party in the hotel but not warned about the noise it would create in the common areas. The soundproofing of the rooms is not good, we could hear people exiting the rooftop until late. The night we arrived there was also a band playing in the street until midnight. We were shown some aspects of our room but some details were left out like that the AC doesn’t work unless all windows are completely shut. One of our windows was a bit difficult to shut so at times the AC wouldn’t stay on. Understandably it’s an old building but it’s also trying to be a 4-star hotel. Not sure how they got the bathroom design so wrong. The bath looks amazing but if used as a shower water ends up all over the place. The mirror is not fixed so it swings, there is a smaller mirror at the most ridiculous height and no where else to use it. You’d want to know your travel partner well as the toilet is in the room, and only divided by a curtain there is not much privacy. Body lotion was terrible, avoid using. We stayed in a double room and there was no where for either of our bags, it was very crammed. If you’re travelling with a lot of luggage you would probably want to avoid booking the double room. The coffee machine worked great… once we did some troubleshooting. A simple machine would have been fine. Overall it looked nice, the location is great and the staff were helpful but I think there are better options for the price.

was super excited for this venue. if you love hotels pleasing for the eye this one is for you. unfortunatelly paid more than 300€ for a night in july and saw that prices vary a lot going less than 150 per night sometimes… the discrepancy of prices is very irritaring. for 330 would have expected more than just water and very small breakfast included in the price.

My wife and I stayed at Mona for 3 nights with high expectations from positive reviews. However, the overall experience was poor. The hotel wasn't ready upon our arrival, and we were denied access to the rooftop. We waited downstairs for 45 minutes without any offers of drinks. They promised a bottle of wine, but forgot to deliver it. After reminding, they brought the wrong bottle and denied a change. They offered another bottle later, but it never arrived again. We requested Yoga mats prior to arrival, which were also forgotten. The cleaning service was unsatisfactory, with tea supplies left unfilled and the room not cleaned the second day. The rooftop bar had dirty dishes standing around all day and lacked service. Breakfast had missing items and poor quality. The hospitality was lacking throughout our stay. The staff was slightly arrogant and we felt treated from above. The hotel had great design and location but lacked soul and class. For the high price we paid, it was a disappointing experience. Communication was only through the iPad, and no personal interaction or apologies were given. Even after complaining in written form, no one ever got back to us till today. They offered a discount on beverages, but it felt ironic. A 50% discount on the first night was given, but the message was delivered through the iPad. As a seasoned traveler, I've never encountered such a situation in hotels similar to Mona. Considering the price tag of over 400 Euro per night.

A truly special place in the very heart of Athens. Before we even checked in the staff were extremely accommodating and allowed us to store our bags a few days before we checked in. The views from the rooftop were some of the best and they had a great selection of delicious Greek wines to try! Would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Athens!

This is a wonderful experience which embraces the local arts community from the design through to the food. Music in the rooms is a nice touch. The rooftop deserves its own call out, as it’s definitely a highlight. Location-wise I can’t imagine better. The staff were friendly, warm, and welcoming. We will definitely stay again in future trips to Athens!

+ Nice hotel and attractive location.modern architecture and lifestyle rooms. - continuing sewer smells could be solved after 3 days , but we did not get a discount for our stay except a soap holder and a 10-20%discount for 1-2 days for future bookings. For me this kind of treatment is unacceptable!! - small, fancy breakfast but nothing to write home about
