Kinin

Restaurant Bar

👍👍 Here for the SEA Games, we dined at Kinin 3 times in 5 days even though it’s nowhere close to our hotel. We love almost everything about it, this cool, dim, green, hushed oasis tucked away from the road, cocooned from the blazing hot, bustling & dusty city. Her staff, especially Boi & Soman, are lo... It’s near to Russian market. A hidden gem in the city. Love love the greenery vibe. What can be better of having a glass of cold beer for a relaxing afternoon 😊

Such a lovely vibey place to meet with friends for a drink or dinner. We celebrated a friend's birthday and the staff were so lovely. Super friendly and we had a good laugh with them. Food is delicious and well presented. Drinks were amazing! A bit on the pricey side, but still worth it. Will definitely be back again soon! Cam definitely recommend the sweet and sour chicken!

We love almost everything about it, this cool, dim, green, hushed oasis tucked away from the road, cocooned from the blazing hot, bustling & dusty city. Her staff, especially Boi & Soman, are lovely. And the food, including the many vegetarian options, are a feast for the senses and reasonably priced.

Like the atmosphere, especially at night, the trees stand out with the light. Food is ok-ok. I regretted that i missed trying the cocktail whose name really sound interesting. Should've tried that. - Service: 4 Star, friendly as usual. - Environment: 5 Star. - Taste: 3.5 stars to me

I love the vibe here really Khmer stylist decoration inside the restaurant. That's a good place to avoid yourself from social. The menu combines traditional and western cuisines it doesn't matter you are local people or foreigner. One thing you will be notice when you walked inside the restaurant enjoy the food and view is there is no PLASTIC will be use. The restaurant owner must be eco-friendly person and trying to reduce plastic usage. And this is the good point that I want to see more and admire anyone who do that. Staff are friendly , Price look good, Toilet are useable but remember they don't use toilet paper :D

An interesting tiny dinning hide away. Friendly service and good food. What I found most fascinating was how a glass recycling CSR initiative carried on by the establishment is also another income generating method adopted by them. When one hands over the collected glass, one needs to also MAKE A PAYMENT though small along with it which apparently is for incidentle costs. How innovative to make money on a other people's commitment to save the environment! And all while running a restaurant!!!!

What a delightful food destination. The decor was amazing and tasteful. A true delight. There were plants tastefully arranged on the table, between tables, hanging from the ceiling . I just loved it. To "make my day" further, I could buy plants there. I purchased several as well as a gorgeous ceramic pot. The cherry on top was that they offered to replant the plant I purchased into the new pot that I had selected. Oh, and lest I forget, we took FULL advantage of Happy Hour. Yum.

Great atmosphere. Delicious food. We went there in the evening, during a light shower that added to the rain forest vibe.

Such a lively atmosphere here. A lot of food options from Khmer, continental and fusion foods. And they have a variety of locally brewed beers. I liked their IPA; Notorious Bong and a few others. They have a lot of outdoor dining options with a lot of greenery around. Highly recommended social cafe in Phnom Penh.

    > Atmosphere is good. > Food is okay, but needs to get improved. Khor is too oily and sweet, Mango salad with grilled chicken is underseasoned. > The service isn’t good.

This was a great experience! The food was tasty and very well presented. There were many vegetarian options which was great! Made it hard to choose actually! The environment is awesome with lots of plants and wood. Very clean and lovely friendly service. Great staff! We had a big group but the food came out ok quick. We were however needed to get our desserts takeaway in the end as it tool longer than planned and the desserts took over 25 mins to come out anyway! It was the mango sticky rice which was interesting to have to negotiate eating in the tuk tuk...but very yum! Apart from that tho, this is a very recommended experience. Would come back for sure. Ok update. I visited again 10 months later and loved it just as much. I tried the brownie this time too. Yum yum!!

The Lok Lak beef is soooo good. I went back by myself because I needed to eat it again before I left Phnom Penh and I hate eating out alone, but it was so worth it! Also the service is lovely!

Mixed feelings about my experience at Kinin. Beautiful semi-outdoor restaurant surrounded by a lot of green with lovely decor. The french fries were very good, freshly fried to order and crispy when it arrived. The pineapple shrub soda was delicious too. However the main dish I later had — Stir fry sweet and sour pork w/ rice was a complete let-down. No sweet or sour flavours whatsoever, pork was too lean and sauce was way too starchy. The passion mango kombucha was tasted very diluted too. Great vibes and friendly service though, will give it a second chance.

If you believe in fairy tales, this is as close as it gets, at least my tummy says so. If you don't, just come for some yummy food in this oasis of good taste.

This joint is like a kitschy flower shop gone restaurant. It isn't at all classy, but it is clean and the wait staff are attentive. Animals wander through the grounds so you might have a cat or dog under your table. The floor is gravel unless you are inside the old Cambodian house. There is an upstairs dining area as well. There were also beggars and sellers strolling through among the tables. The food was not expensive, but we found that was because the portions are small. I found my Fish & Chips a bit too greasy with the batter on the fish almost gooey with oil. On our second visit we found the place packed. As most tables are outside, the smoking and non smoking sections are the same. Strangely, we ordered the same three meals, but we were all pleased this time.

What a shame there is some sort or business next door grinding steel constantly Non stop Which looks like it’s daily at lunchtime maybe longer. Food was delicious, service was great, not their fault about the noise but it affects the outdoor dining so much. Staff seem to not even notice it which says to me it’s a daily occurrence. Hopefully they can get it stopped as I couldn’t sit through lunch again with it but definitely would without it.
