I remember reading these reviews and being like “Wow it seems like this yoga school is exactly what I’m looking for. Can it really be that good?” Turns out it was! I knew from the first day I picked the right 200 hr yoga teacher training. I came to have a deeper understanding of yoga philosophy, along with learning how to teach and understand anatomy, and I got all that and so much more. Keshava crammed in as much yoga philosophy as he could and was so kind with his time and energy. He does a wonderful job managing the program. He also likes to give out cake and has a fun sense of humor, which I greatly appreciate. Shubu is a fantastic yoga and anatomy teacher, and a wonderful spirit in general. I’m grateful and honored to have studied with both of them. The price is reasonable and the knowledge is rich. I’m so glad I trained at Sarvaguna Yoga Dhamma. Oh and Upper Bhagsu/Dharamshala is lovely and the people are friendly. An amazing experience. ☺️

I have been living in the Bay Area for nearly a decade, exploring meditation in various traditions. However, my experience of the 100h MTT at Sarvaguna was truly groundbreaking. With Dr. Keshava's teachings, deeply rooted in yoga philosophy/cosmology, I gained crystal-clear insights and a profound understanding of meditation. His warm personality and great support of their team made the journey even more enriching and nuturing. Located in majestic mountains, as it felt like floating among the clouds, the serene atmosphere creates a sense of being elevated, both physically and spiritually. I also want to mention that they have a nice hot shower, which is really important for us Japanese folks.Overall you get a lot more for what you pay. This should be worth 4K in the Bay Area. Absolutely incredible!

If you’re looking for a meditation course, you’re meant to see this and join Dr Keshava! It was an incredible experience doing 100 hours of meditation with Dr Keshava. I have done 800 hours of YTT across India, and it was an absolute pleasure and blessing to have met Dr Keshava in the beautiful foothills of Himalayas! He is extremely knowledgeable in philosophy and spirituality! I feel confident to teach meditation in my yoga classes too. Location is magnificent overlooking Dharamshala and it’s really conducive with the quietness of the mountains. I loved the days we went to the waterfall for meditation and our neti party on the roof terrace. Food provided by the school was amazing and Sattvic ! I loved my stay at Cosmic Geeks too. Thank you for everything Dr Keshava and team!

Before my trip to India, I conducted a thorough research on the Meditation Teacher Training Courses in India. Out of 20 schools based in Northern India, I felt really drawn to Sarvaguna led by Dr Keshava. He is the most genuine, kind and pure person I have met. And Keshava is a very knowledgeable mentor - he is like a walking library. He is also caring and he cared a lot for his students and our experience during the course. I have learnt so much about meditation, as well as philosophy from Keshava. I also met and connected with some beautiful and kind people that I feel we can be friends for life. I came back home feeling at peace and I have realised more things about life and myself. It was definitely a life-changing experience thar I’m forever grateful. Big thank you to Keshava, Shubu and the rest of his team!

I recently completed my meditation teacher training with Keshava, and I can confidently say that it was the best decision I could have made for my personal and professional growth. Keshava is not just a teacher, but a true guide and mentor who has an immense amount of knowledge and love for the practice of meditation. From the very first day of the training, Keshava created a warm and welcoming environment that allowed us to feel comfortable and open to learning. His teaching style is incredibly engaging and he has a unique ability to simplify complex concepts, making them accessible to everyone, regardless of their prior experience with meditation. What sets Keshava apart from other teachers is his genuine love and passion for meditation. It is evident in every word he speaks and every technique he demonstrates. His enthusiasm is contagious, and it motivated me to dive deeper into my own practice and explore new dimensions of meditation that I had never considered before. Throughout the training, Keshava provided us with a comprehensive understanding of various meditation techniques, including mindfulness, loving-kindness, and transcendental meditation. He not only taught us the theory behind each technique but also guided us through practical exercises, allowing us to experience the benefits firsthand. One aspect of the training that I particularly appreciated was Keshava's emphasis on the importance of self-care and self-compassion. He encouraged us to prioritize our own well-being and reminded us that meditation is not just a tool for helping others, but also a means of nurturing our own inner peace and happiness. Keshava's dedication to his students is truly remarkable. He was always available to answer our questions, provide guidance, and offer support whenever needed. His patience and understanding created a safe space for us to share our experiences and challenges, fostering a sense of community among the trainees. I cannot express enough gratitude for the profound impact Keshava has had on my life. His teachings have not only deepened my own meditation practice but have also equipped me with the necessary skills and confidence to share this transformative practice with others. If you are considering meditation teacher training, I wholeheartedly recommend Keshava as your guide. His knowledge, passion, and love for meditation are unparalleled, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to learn from him.

I completed a 300h YTT at Sarvaguna Yoga Dhaama and I feel truly blessed that I found this school. The quality of the courses was incredibly high and the program was nicely balanced (between meditation, pranayama, asanas, alignment clinics, anatomy, philosophy and other classes). The food was absolutely delicious and the Himalayan surroundings made everything particularly special and spiritual. Overall, it was a greatly transformative experience, and I encourage everyone who can to attend any of Sarvaguna’s trainings! Namaste, Lena.

After doing the 100h Meditation Teacher Training in Goa last year, I came back to the school in Dharamshala for the 200h Yoga Teacher Training. The Philosophy classes and Meditations go very deep and I never got tired of Keshava's jokes 😄. In the Asana Classes we learned to teach from the first week and our Teacher Shubu prepared us perfectly to create our own Yoga classes. Keshava and Shubu were always caring and attentive to everyone of us, whether we had issues in the classes or health problems, they would always give a solution to us. I take all the great memories and a lot of skills and inspiration home 🙏🏔️💚

I did the 200 hours course and loved my month in Dharamsala. I was looking for a unique and local training both in the depth of the lessons and in the quality of the teaching, and that is what I received at Sarvaguna. I recommend this course in the Himalayan mountains with Dr. Keshava to everyone. Take note to bring warm clothes :). Thanks again for everything! Ale

The time I spent at Sarvaguna Yoga Dhaama in Dharamshala was some of the most transformative of my life. My husband and I took part in the 100 hour Meditation teacher training, taught by Keshava-ji. I learnt so much about the mind, my fellow humans and Yogic philosophy and deeply about myself. It was truly brilliant, Keshava's teaching shines so brightly, I felt that I couldn't get enough! I was originally booked to do the 300hour Yoga Teacher Training, but I arrived with a bad injury which prevented me from fully taking part in the asana classes. No matter, wonderful teachers, Shubu and Yogeesh, helped me and enabled me to continue practicing with modifications even once I had switched to the meditation course. Ultimately, I felt the universe was giving all the signals that meditation was where I was meant to be and the signs weren't worng. I'm quite in awe of how Keshava runs the school with such care, kindness and compassion. It's inspiring and makes me reflect and want to do better! From taking care of health problems, to lovely trips to waterfalls and tekking, to excursions to the Dalai Lama's birthday celebrations, Keshava facilitated all to ensure we all had the best experience possible. Once the meditation course was completed, I asked if it was possible to fulfill Reiki Level 1 training with Keshava, who is a Reiki Master. Despite a hectic schedule, he took the time to train me into the healing art, something which is invaulable for me. Our accommodation was very comfortable and food super yummers! Not to mention satvic :) And being in this location, in the mountains, the Himalaya is quite remarkable. The other course participants were all true delights, I feel I have made friends for life, and I hope beyond hope that this will not be my final time at Sarvaguna Yoga Dhaama! I am immensely full of gratitude :)

I have just completed the 100 hour meditation teacher training with Sarvaguna in Bhagsu in the gorgeous Himalayan mountains. I cannot recommend this programme enough. The syllabus is thorough, demanding and at the same time totally achievable. From the basics of sitting posture through to clear guidance in a variety of profound meditation techniques, this covers it all. I feel I have a robust practice which I will now carry into my daily life as I work towards Samadhi. In Dr. Keshava you will find a truly genuine teacher with tireless compassion and energy. His lessons on philosophy have given me a firm grounding upon which to build and his presence is an inspiration for continuing on the path of self-realisation. From a practical point of view, the whole setup is incredibly conducive to learning. Accommodation is simple and comfortable and the food is superb. Bhagsu, while a little loud on the weekends is a stunning setting for self-enquiry. Keshava added countless touches from booking and paying for taxis to see the Dalai Lama on his 88th birthday and handing out snacks on the trekking day out to providing us with washing lines and offering Ayurvedic / yogic treatment for constipation. I feel truly blessed to have encountered such a teacher and I have no doubt a trip to Goa in on the cards in the near future.

Beautiful place. It's up in the mountains so you can look down on the valley. You have trees everywhere around you. You are above the clouds. Sometimes you are in the clouds which is also recommendable. Keshava, one of the teachers, the host, is really kind and a great teacher. I enjoyed his yoga philosophy courses with my whole heart. He is very funny and passionate about teaching. The staff is really nice as well. Thank you Vicky (hope I pronounce your name well) and thank you cook and dishwasher. Very nice work if you ask me. I loved that the food was so healthy and vegetarian. The room where I stayed in was nice. Overall, I have learned so much. Even if you have a lot of experience already with meditation, this place can do a lot for you. In my whole meditation journey of 6 years almost everyday, I have seen the most progress at this place. But maybe I was lucky. Check it out for yourself if you like. Thank you for reading this. Namaste

Embarking on a 100hrs TTC Meditation course with Sarvaguna Yoga in Dharamsala turned out to be one of the most important life-changing decisions I have made on my path to personal growth. Throughout the course, I experienced a massive shift in my awareness and a deep connection with my inner self. Each class was an invitation to explore the depths of my being, shedding light on aspects of myself that had long been overlooked or suppressed. One of the most profound transformations I noticed was the capacity to observe my thoughts and feelings without judgement. Through meditation, I learned to accept and be kind to the ups and downs of my inner world. This increased emotional intelligence enabled me to face life's problems more calmly and resiliently. Rather than getting carried away by reactionary patterns, I found myself responding to events with more clarity and awareness. Also, the supportive community of like-minded individuals added to the transformative experience. Engaging in shared experiences and discussions enriched my understanding of meditation and provided lifetime friendships. Finally, I am immensely grateful to our teacher, our guru - Dr. Keshava. From the very first interaction, it was evident that he has a deep knowledge and passion for the practice. His wisdom, compassionate nature, and unwavering support have had a significant impact on my practice and personal growth. The ability to convey complex concepts with clarity and simplicity was remarkable. He bridged ancient wisdom with practical applications, making the practice accessible and relatable. Under his guidance, I have experienced personal breakthroughs and a deeper connection with my inner self than ever before. It was a pivotal point in my life, and I am forever grateful. Thank you Keshava 🙏 Even after the course ended, the impact of this transformative journey continues to resonate in my life. The tools and techniques acquired have become integral to my daily routine, nurturing self-care and self-discovery. I am also prepared to help my clients/patients and teach them different meditations we practised during the course. I wholeheartedly recommend this meditation course to anyone seeking personal growth. Prepare to be inspired, supported, and profoundly transformed under their guidance. Namaste 🙏 Agnes

Sarvaguna was the best budget experience I could have ever found. I wasn't only looking for yoga practice but also to have someone guiding me through the asanas so I joined the Asana clinics classes that were very helpful. The meditation sessions were amazing and made easy to follow and to stick to them. It is great to have such a wise and dedicated teacher to help you through the process. Absolutely loved the philosophy classes as well! Helen , the vinyasa yoga teacher is just a gift. Her vinyasa and yin yoga classes are out of this world. I'm hugely grateful for the happiness she brought to me in each of her classes. If you are looking for a budget course to improve your practice and to let yourself go in beautiful meditations don't think twice and treat yourself! The food is also very good!

This is the best yoga meditation retreat I’ve been on - top notch teaching, great location (between Bhagsu and the mountain trails), delicious meals and also the best value. From others I’ve spoke to who have tried a few retreats nearby it’s also the best one in Dharamshala. I was on the yoga and meditation retreat (10 day), but we were allowed to join philosophy classes as well which were my favourite aspect of the course. Keshava has a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching the true essence of yoga and meditation practice. The yoga classes were also excellently led by Shubham and Helen and pitched at the right level.

I did the 100 hrs meditation training this past April/May 2022 in Dharamshala. The experience was the best part of my trip to India. I live in the States. The class size was small, to me that was priceless, as sometimes I have signed up for trainings in India that are over crowded. The teachings of Keshava were so precise and in depth that made the experience one to cherish in a life time. The views of the Himalayas were spectacular, accommodations were simple, clean and with a breath taking view that made my 32hr journey so worth it As 500hr yoga instructor, I have made many trips to India for training, this one by far was my best. As good schools are getting hard to come by, this is the real thing. I highly recommend the school and the training, is an experience you will cherish for a life time. Namaste. Glenda

I can’t recommend this school enough!! I did the 100 Hour Meditation Training in Dharamsala and Keshava is an incredible teacher! He puts so much love and heart into the course. The 2 week training was the most introspective experience I’ve ever signed myself up for. We learned meditation theory, philosophy, meditation techniques, how to guide ourselves and others - and we meditated for hours each day. I now feel confident returning home and having a meditation practice, as Keshava taught us a whole variety of techniques to help support ourselves and to teach to others. I honestly can’t remember this program enough & im so thankful I was able to participate in it, as I really needed these tools to help support my mental health. Thank you Sarvaguna Yoga, Keshava, all the staff and the guys in the kitchen who made all the delicious food 🙏🏼

I came here for a 100 hour meditation teacher training course and had an incredibly positive and meaningful experience. It is an ideal location to study yoga and meditation, situated in a picturesque mountain setting with a very serene ambience. The best part of the training was the teacher, Keshava, who is a true master and a beautiful soul who cares deeply for his students. His wisdom and sense of humor kept us all engaged and helped us go deep into the teachings and practices. I could not recommend this place highly enough!
