I have no clue how Japanese food should taste. This was my first trial with Japanese cuisine & it was pretty decent. Foreigner friends vouch for it so am sure it's quite authentic. You need to have a taste for this cuisine. Though 100% veg, it might taste quite different coz of seaweed. We went with the Tuesday special. The Miso soup was good & so was the Sushi, though frankly it was too different a taste for me to end it. DEFINITELY give this place a try if you have a taste for trying different cuisine. A beaten down place but we liked the vibe. Peaceful, calm & uncle was super nice with his hindi dialect. ❤

This is the one-stop solution for every Japanese craving you have in McLeodganj. The atmosphere, the large manga cabinet, the unbelievably genuine and nice old couple hosting is all worth the cost effective dishes you have here. The cost of dishes here is surprising if you've wasted a few bucks cafe hunting in McLeodganj. Japanese food is more than raw fishes so do go here and try some new tastes like Okonomiyaki. Don't forget to say "Arigato Gosaimas" while leaving, duh.

Some of the best Japanese food I've had in the entire country. Miso soup was beyond delicious. Kakiage don was yumm. Loved the vibe of the place, super warm and cosy.

Old cafe vibes, and rightfully so. Amazing food, just have the special of the day and you’re set. Also recommend the Lemon-Curd dessert. Must visit if in Mcleodganj area.

The only Japanese place in town and the only place in the area that will serve you from bringing the menu to paying the bill within half an hour. Very friendly staff and atmosphere as if you are visiting your friends house. Lots of books, magazines and comics to read while you eat and drink. Service is great! Food is amazing! We came here almost every other day while our 10 days stay in the area. The menu simple but consistently delicious! We’ve tried almost everything on the menu by the end of our stay there and not a single item has left us unsatisfied. If you are in McLeod Ganj definitely check them out! Everyone knows that place! Hands down one of the best ones in the area!

Special of the day is always my choice and their lemon curd is the best ever! Tuesdays and Fridays they have sushi specials. They open at noon…one has to go early to get the best items on menu, specially the desserts of the day.

I have a little exposure to Japanese food, at Lung Ta, my taste palette enjoyed all the delicious food they served, I had the special set on two different days of my stay, loved it, the atmosphere is great too

Great Japanese food - amazing view & quaint place. Food is really tasty but the prices increased dramatically recently. Still - check it out for a great bite of different cosine you won't find in Dasa.

One of my favorite restaurants of all India and definitely McLeod Ganj. Coming for past 20 years and happy it’s still here and still delicious.

Hands down the best home style japanese food in all of India. The place is cosy, prices extremely pocket friendly. Uncle and Aunty makes to most amazing food. Tuesday and Friday are the Sushi day, and you will not get such amazing Sushi in 5-star Sushi kitchens. Please do yourself a favour and plan your visit to Lungta!

I didn’t expect there is any Japanese food place around the city …fortunately I found one and what a delicious sushi they have … 🍱 I like there bread too …which is freshly baked in-house Unfortunately I have no pics …:( I was so busy in eating & enjoying the vibe 🌱

Open at 12 o'clock . Very nice food. I vote for Omrice. It's 120 rupee. Everyday will have special meal with 240 rupee. I choose tofu in special meal so it's just price 100 rupee. Serve very fast. Have outdoor. Sunday closed. And break time from 2p.m to 5p.m

Food is good with a lot of Japanese and Chinese literature to books to read. You may find someone having a deep conversation with a monk also. But, the washroom facilities are not good. It would be better if they could improve upon that.

We randomly found this place while walking and decided to have lunch here and chose the Monday special. It was so good, the portions were perfect. The food was so flavourful and balanced. Totally recommend this if you’re bored of having Tibetan food in Mcleodganj!

Such a nice place. They have one special every day. We went saturday for tofu day and it was so good and they serve you so much. Including soup and rice and its a lot. Recommended!

I went to this place a couple of times before writing my review... although I like the restaurant interiors and its quietness... I never felt welcomed, the owner isn 't friendly and seems always annoyed actually... Food wise I think it's not good nor bad either just average, and for the same price u could get better and have nicer staff serving u... I don't feel like recommending this place

The views from the cafe were stunning, the food not as much unfortunately! It is a good choice for vegetarians none the less. They have a set menu and serve vegetarian sushi on Tuesdays & Friday’s. There are a lot of other places which are a lot better in comparison. Hence the rating. Was priced moderately. Can be skipped for sure.

The tofu steak Wednesday special is divine. There's a great variety of things that come with it. Super tasty and a lot a lot of food! So satisfying and filling-- worth the price!! I had the veg curry and tofu seafood salad.. both were sooo delicious.
