Ekta nagar is the railway station connected with various cities to the statue of unity. This station was recently built in accordance with the statue of unity. The station is built well. Retiring rooms are also available here. Daily trains are running from ekta nagar to dadar and ahmedabad. Passenger trains are running 3 services to pratapnagar which is nearby vadodara. The station is clean & well maintained. The snack stall is available in Platform 1. The toilet is clean & should be maintained as it is. Outside the station, the buses to the statue of unity are available.

It is the nearest railway station to Statue of Unity. Railway station is very clean and picturesque. It has all the modern facilities that should be available at any station. Free shuttle buses ply at every short interval thorought the day to SOU from entrance gate. Retiring rooms are clean. It is a well managed railway station. Ekta Nagar is one of the most modern stations on the Indian Railways network and has some good facilities. 1. Getting Around: Free Buses to SOU would be available from the exit during the arrival of trains. Even if you are unable to find one, don't panic. There are pink E-Rickshaws available which are driven by women which are reasonably priced. The fares for each destination is pre-approved and refer the attached sheet to avoid being overcharged. 2. Amenities: A. Lifts and Escalators: Ample lifts and escalators available at the station B. Retiring Room: Retiring rooms are available at the station but you cannot book them online. You have to book them at the railway station only. The charges were around 2000 for a couple ac room for 24 hrs. C. Other Good Accomodation: BRG Budget Stay is a great hotel around SOU which is jam packed throughout the year due to the low pricing and great amenities. Make sure to book atleast a month in advance (Online Booking: click here) D. Food: The IRCTC Food Track in the station complex is amazing for snacks and serves amazing Mexican Pockets. Other items on the menu were Thepla, Dhokla and Paneer Samosa which were nice too (Food Pics attached below). There is a fine dine restaurant named Jagdish Restaurant above the Food Track which has good ambience but costs high. There is a MCDonalds outlet right opposite to Ekta Nagar Railway Station which is clean with good washrooms and has good service. 3. Cleanliness: The Railway Station is very clean. 4. Overall: Even if you are not coming to Ekta Nagar by train, Ekta Nagar Railway Station should be in your list of attractions to visit as it has been built amazingly well and there is great ambience about this place. The lighting is amazing with a mini replica of SOU on the station building. There is an amazing fountain inside the complex which is a great photo spot. Some Tips for SOU: Book the Projection Mapping Show atleast 20 days in advance and choose SOU Campus rather than the Helipad Ground. Book the SOU Visit / Viewing Gallery Slot for 4-6 so that you may immediately go for Projection Mapping Show. World's tallest statue is located here. Best location to enjoy picnic at least there to four days comfortably. All over greenery and cleanliness is wonderful. Night staying with family is available in various ranges.
