You either know it's there or you don't because it's set back in a courtyard. The hotel's name is its street address so you can't go too badly wrong. The moment you walk in, you feel like you just entered somebody's home and it no doubt was, 150 years ago. Bric-a-brac on the tables and photos of people and places long gone line the walls. My room, on the top floor, was super cosy with a nice walk-in shower and a supremely stocked mini bar. There's also a safe. It's located very centrally on the main street with the lovely Shevchenko Park to the left and Constitution Square and the History Museum to the right. There's lots else within easy walking distance: Lviv Handmade Chocolate (a must), Nikolsky, the brand new shopping mall, Church of the Ascension...What's not to like about the area? Staff are super nice. What else is there to say? It has the feel of a well-kept secret. Really recommended.

Nice, quiet location in the city center. Cozy design. Reasonable price. Tasty breakfast. Friendly staff. Good choice if you want to feel atmosphere of beginning 20 century. In the warm season breakfast is outdoor. But it would be better if potential quests fill an application form before check in: - do you have a selfie stick? - do you make selfie more often than once per hour? - how often do you visit SPA? and would be rejected according to answers :)

As good as the reviews say. Clean rooms. Staff speaks english well enough which is better than 90 percent of the establishments in Kharkiv which dont speak it at all. Breakfasts are raved about because they are made to order in the hotels garden restaurant. Would recommend.

The Hotel 19 restaurant is one of the best in Kharkiv! Usually, you think of hotel restaurants as being mediocre, but this one has put a lot of thought into a very original and well executed menu. We had the included breakfast every morning and dinner twice, and every time was excellent. I would recommend going there even if you are not staying in the hotel. As for the hotel itself, it is also nice, well maintained, and tastefully decorated. The internet at the hotel was faster than at my office! There is no elevator, or blackout curtains, which may be a pain for some. The staff were very friendly, and went out of the way to help my colleague get his jacket cleaned after an accident.

Perfect place to stay in Kharkiv! The hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel room was cosy and a lot of interesting decor elements. Hearty breakfast. This hotel is located in the city center and you can see all the sights of the city.

Family owned, very well taken care of, convenient location to downtown area, and room are furnished with families personal items. Very old fashioned, loved it!!! If I go back to Kharkiv, I will definitely stay here again!

The nicest small hotel in the city center. Prices are of medium range. Rooms are stylish and well decorated. Always clean and comfortable. Staff is super friendly. Breakfasts are delicious.

Staying in this place 2nd time and really enjoy it. Good location, clean and well maintained rooms, cosy design, pleasant and very friendly staff. Good value for money. Good to see an independent hotel with a European service standard.
