Don't
run
out
of
money
in
Sudan!
Have
enough
cash
on
you
(
preferably
U.S
dollars
)
for
your
trip
here.
Your
cards
from
outside
Sudan
won't
work.
But
if
your
lucky
enough
like
me
to
choose
Regency
Hotel
or
read
this
post
you
will
stay
here
and
they
will
happily
help
with
anything
you
need.
For
any
trip
to
Khartoum
Sudan
I
recommend
Staying
at
this
hotel
and
following
their
advice.
The
staff
here
are
beyond
helpful
and
friendly
all
the
way
up
to
the
manager
who
due
to
our
financial
issues
offered
us
to
stay
free
of
charge
so
we
could
(
with
there
help
)
get
things
sorted
out.
The
rooms
and
lobby
are
luxurious,
the
staff
are
Amazingly
friendly
and
they
have
all
the
information
you
need
to
enjoy
your
stay
in
Khartoum.
One
of
the
problems
in
Sudan
is
that
there
isn't
enough
cash
available
(
the
physical
notes
)
for
people
to
use.
I
advise
everyone
not
to
be
as
silly
as
me
and
rely
on
money
being
transferred
from
Western
Union
in
Australia
to
me
here
in
Khartoum
as
the
bank
my
not
give
you
the
cash
due
to
the
shortage
The
people
here
are
not
the
problem
we
hear
about
back
home,
they
are
some
of
the
most
friendly
and
giving
and
helpful
people
I've
ever
met.
After
we
came
into
financial
trouble
The
Manager
of
Regency
Hotel
came
to
meet
us
in
the
lobby
and
offered
us
a
drink,
he
then
professionally
introduced
himself
and
offered
to
help.
The
Manager
gave
us
complimentary
accommodation
for
the
next
few
days
and
offered
us
money
until
we
got
back
home
to
Australia
(
they
even
threw
in
complimentary
breakfast
).
We
were
stunned,
almost
in
tears.
His
level
of
generosity
and
even
the
staff
here
is
unheard
of.
To
find
hotels
like
this
one
who
show
through
their
actions
that
their
customers
come
first
are
very
rare.
There
is
almost
nothing
this
man
and
hotel
cant
organise
for
you
and
rest
assured
in
their
hands
you
will
be
completely
safe.
Please
dont
believe
all
the
negative
press
our
governments
tell
us
about
Sudan
from
someone
that
is
here
right
now
experiencing
the
warmth
from
soo
many
Sudanese
people
already.
We
are
now
have
enough
money
for
the
next
few
days
and
will
fly
to
Ethiopia
where
my
visa
card
will
work
again.
From
one
extremely
appreciative
traveler
