It’s very peaceful and divine to be in the temple. Neatly organised even during the pandemic. One of the beautiful places in and around Doul Govinda temple. You can reach through Google map easily there. This is located on side of Brahmaputra River which gives it more mesmerizing views and more reasons to visit here. Good place to spend a peaceful time with God & nature, preferably in the evening sunset time . I have attached few beautiful clicks.

Located in North Guwahati, on the foothills of Chandrabati Hills, this temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple is not only visited by Krishna devotees but by people of all faith for its scenic beauty. It is said that deity of Lord Krishna in this temple was installed by someone named Ganga Ram Baruah who brought it from a place in Nalbari named Sadhyasar. Overall, my visit this place left an indelible impression on my heart and mind. It is a place where one can connect with the divine and find inner peace. I wholeheartedly recommend this temple to anyone seeking spiritual solace and a deeper understanding of cultural heritage. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the temple authorities and the community for maintaining this divine haven. It's a place that fills the soul with divine grace and leaves one with a sense of profound gratitude and reverence. Apart from the spiritual aspect, the temple also plays a significant role in the community, hosting various cultural and educational events. It serves as a hub for social gatherings, bringing people from all walks of life together in harmony.

Doul Govinda, being one of the famous temples of Assam, located in North Guwahati is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The main temple is big and well maintained. I've visited this place for about 2-3 times since childhood. During the recent visit, I could observe that the place is being renovated for providing the basic facilities like drinking water, washrooms, parking area, etc. The prasad or the payasam that is being offered here is delicious too. Festivals like Holi and Krishna Janmastami are celebrated here in a spectacular way. A must visit place for the Krishna devotees out there. জয় ঢ্ৰী ΰ¦•ΰ§ƒΰ¦·ΰ§ΰ¦£πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

Must visit place to all the Lord Sri Krishna devotees. The temple is a historical place. Main temple is big, beautiful and clean. The whole complex is renovated to modern time. E.g. proper parking place, washrooms, sitting benches etc. The festival of Holi and Janmastmi lis the main attraction which are held in a grand spectacular way. Last but not least, the prasad or Payoshom offered here is so divine to the soul. Also you can offer proper Puja or Prasad to this temple to make a wish. I meet many people whose wishes has completed. This place can accessed by the road from national highway near the Saraighat Bridges or by a Ferry from the main Guwahati.

πŸ“Œ Daul Govinda Temple, assam. Located at the north bank of the mighty river Brahmaputra. It is a place of historic importance. The temple and shrines, copper plates and rock inscription are scattered to suggest a glorious heritage in and around north Guwahati. The holy Daul Govinda Mandir is perfectly placed at the beautiful foot hills of Chandrabharati hill at Rajaduar, a place of the east of North Guwahati and this natural ambience heightens the sanctity of this place of worship. Everyday hundreds of pilgrims assemble here particularly, during the month of Magha and especially on the auspicious full moon day, Daul Govinda Mandir has two idols Le, of Lord. Shyamaray and Lord Govinda of course most of the devotees offer their prayers mainly to lord. What a beautiful experience. ✨

A very good religious place, water is available outside the temple for visitors to wash feet and hands before entering the temple. There are benches to sit and hang out with friends, you can also sit in the soft grass in the field .. The behavior of Pandits and other caretakers is also good. Overall a good place to hang out with friends, family and loved ones

It is a beautiful 😍 templeπŸ•Œ but I mostly like the place. You can go to the temple by a boat β›΅ or ROPEWAY. Ropeway is best because the scene from the ropeway is excellent πŸ’―πŸ‘.

The legend has it that the idol of Lord Krishna came floating to the saint who was praying on banks of Brahmaputra. A huge serene temple with gardens around to rest will be filled with rush on Holi. If u r coming from city, take the ferry ride to north Guwahati to avoid rush and hassle in traffic. On regular days it’s free and open almost the whole day. Annadaana is performed on certain days.
