Awesome place, we enjoyed it. You have a great lot to visit, starting with vintage cars and bikes, trams, some railway cars, ships and planes. It's a nice place to see some experiments for kids to learn some physics, and for you to see how engines and cars work. The ticket price is decent, and inside you can find clean restrooms. Our only regret is that we didn't had that much time to finish the whole tour and we skipped the airplane part, maybe next time :). If you plan to visit it fully and don't want to hurry, you should reserve 3 to 4 hours.

One of the most amazing places I have ever been! There is something interesting for literally everyone who visits. The models and restoration works on old cars, trucks, trains and boats are incredible! You also see thousands of science, tech, industry and everyday items that you can not see anywhere outside of the museum. Oh and they have set up small shops with all the items in them that would have been present in the last century! Incredible attention to detail. Plan the whole day there! We went in the early afternoon, stopped only for a short coffee break and still could not see the whole museum, so we will definitely visit again. It's mindblowing!

First of all, I wanted to say that everyone should definitely go to this museum. People coming from abroad, during your trip to Istanbul, you definitely have a travel list that includes historical squares with historical monuments, but Rahmi Koç Museum is usually overlooked. One of the most important things that makes this museum a museum is that you will be able to find every piece of modern history you can think of in the form of a collection here. You will be able to see the process of cars from past to present, you will be able to see all kinds of classic cars, you will be able to see classic motorcycles, you will be able to see sailboats, sea boats, you will be able to see models of ships, something you have never seen in the collection, old musical instruments and many more things. I have only one piece of advice for you, and that is to devote one day to this museum, there is an inventory that you can browse from morning to evening. You will take lots of photos, read the articles and listen to the works. If you do not do this, you will not be able to enjoy this museum. I wanted to put a few car photos I took here. I hope everyone who visits will have fun.

We loved the old car collection, Sultan’s renovated train that was build for him to go to World Fair in France by Napoleon’s invite and the reincarnated rooms of old cobbler, metal smith, toy store, apothecary, etc. Beautiful architectural details everywhere, lots of clean spaces to roam around, quiet, peaceful grounds. I think there is something to really enjoy for everyone of all ages. We visited the museum after a wonderful open buffet brunch in Halat restaurant inside the museum grounds, right on the water. Great experience overall.

Ticket for students cost 20TL. Overall, Brilliant museum to visit with wonderful and succinct depiction of history and progression in cars, ships and bicycles. There's an inbuilt coffee place to rest before continuing to explore the museum. You can also have coffee or cay by the sea inside a ship put on display. Friendly for children too as there are alot of activities to engage the children also.

I have broaden my horizons as the museums have displayed a wide varieties of stuff such as different land sea vehicles , models and communications instruments. 4. THAT GUY IS SO RICHHHHHHH. 5. Anyway, if you want to see huge varieties of stuff (What rich guys collect) , definitely come here as the ticket price is also very very cheap, a lot cheaper than other museums. 6. The museum is so big and contains so many exhibits it took us several hours to move around and we it wasn't enough to see all items. It's by far the most wonderful museum we visited in Istanbul. It contains all one can imagine of equipment and transport machines as well as models of Turkish houses over history. There's also a part of scientific experiments for children to use their heads and hands. You can also enjoy a train ride, a vessel or a submarine tour on weekends (that's Saturdays and Sundays), but there's an age limit for submarine tour ( 7 as I remember). the museums located on both sides of the main street, so don't miss any of part of it.

Amazing place! Even though because of COVID-19 restrictions some areas were closed to public as of 19.03.2021, and there's no chance to visit a submarine, I spent there a great time. Recommended to go to the very opening hours, since it has so many detailed stuff and machinery and models of trains, etc, that requires time to have a good look at. It also has some open air exhibitions, better on a sunny day. The adult ticket costs 28 TRY, absolutely worth its money. Recommended with both thumbs up👍👍

One of the best museums I ever been. So many different exhibition pavilions and quit a lot of touching details. I definitely recommend this museum. For 4 tickets we paid 120.0 tl plus 15.0 parking. The facility has two buffets one on a boat, the second is inside, next to main pavilion with retro cars. Toilets are in each area, very clean and satisfying. The staff are helpful and polite 😊

The collection in Rahmi M. Koç Museum is something you don’t want to miss when visiting Istanbul. I wish the submarine was open for touring, some friends has told me that the Guide is one of the oldest crew members that will take you around to see it. The Museum is saturated into Automobiles, Trains, Airplanes and some electrical appliances that were created/produced in Turkey or imported from foreign countries. Went during the week and it was fairly busy. Recommended for families 📸

I went just after 10am Saturday morning. Agreed with all the other reviews. There’s lot to see and it’s well kept. More staff that visitors. Couldn’t find a decent map of the museums and when I did, I ended up trying to translate. It’s not very informative when it comes to explaining what’s on show. Worth a visit. I did it all in under 2 hours but some areas of more interest than others.

Very nice, I recommend! it is a complex and varied museum where you can find both ships, trains, old collector cars, as well as engines, airplanes and many others. You spend at least 4-5 hours visiting it, they also have very nice and relaxing places, where you can have a snack, at reasonable prices. We served tea on a boat with a very beautiful view. You can also board some trains, a plane, a ship.

I tell you, this might be one of the finest museums I’ve ever been to. It’s hard to put into words how eclectic and all encompassing this collection is. Mr Koç, seems like the most interesting man in the world! My hats off to his wherewithal to find a place to display all his interests. Could probably spend a couple days here wandering and learning. Had I taken 100 photos, it wouldn’t do justice. If you’re ever in Istanbul, you simply must come.

An absolute must place to visit for anyone remotely interested in cars, motorbikes, steam engines, boats or underwater objects. The number of models at display is staggering and the variety is fascinating, especially for certain vintage steam and mechanical machines. The ticket cost was one of th cheapest among famous İstanbul attractions.

(Translated by Google) Arguably one of the best museums in Turkey. It appeals to all kinds of hobbyists, you can find planes, classic cars, models, ships, toys, model trains, handmade miniatures and many more inside (there are even submarines!). If you are going to travel, I suggest you go early because it takes at least 3 hours to get around properly. The price is also reasonable, 28 TL for adults and 12 TL for students. I definitely recommend you to come and visit. (Original) Tartışmasız Türkiye'nin en iyi müzeleri arasında. (Translated by Google) A museum with a taste from the past to the present. A "FANTASTIC" museum. Perfect with everything. Thanks to the KOÇ family for all the values they protect. It is definitely worth seeing. You are almost lost in the works. We never understood how the time passed. Be sure to join the estuary tour by boat. The historical development of cars, motorcycles and industrial machines is awesome. You see a detail everywhere. It is a bridge from the past to the future, where technology started, those who wonder should see. Very stylish ambiance, yummy. For those who are interested in industry, transportation, communication and industry, Rahmi M. Koç Museum is a shrine with its rich collection. It is indispensable for the list of places to visit in Istanbul, with many content specific to adults and children. If you are also interested in the historical developments of technical branches, I recommend that you take time to the museum on the shore of Istanbul Golden Horn. In addition to bus, minibus, metrobus and ferry services, you can also go to the museum by participating in Dentur's Hop On Hop Off Haliç Tours departing from Beşiktaş or Kabataş. As a different alternative in transportation, you can take advantage of the Blue Tour's bus ride named "Big Bus Sightseeing Tours". (Original) Geçmişten günümüze tadında bir müze. Amazing place with a very reasonable ticket price that you can spend hours and hours there. If you are in Istanbul, strongly advise you to visit. This museum has something for almost all of the tastes! just inside restaurants are not good enough!

That’s one of the best museums in İstanbul. Old real objects. Spacious place at the sea side. Real submarine parked there. You can drink a coffee at the 2nd floor of real ship, similar to which in daily life locals use for passing Bosporus. The place is great for kids and friend ups. Just for a tiny ones you better bring them after they can walk and talk.

Beautiful museum with various historical vehicles from different era. you dont need a guide as the description written both in Turkish and English. there was a mind teaser section upstairs with different puzzles and scientific experiments which will be great for kids. if you pay a visit to Istanbul on a rainy day or if you have kids I totally recommend the place. the tour inside the museum took me 3 hours and the entry fee was 40 tl.

This place is amazing and worth visiting. Great collection of antique cars, motorcycles, and boats. It’s also a useful place for kids to learn about how different engines work. Ticket prices for foreigners are more expensive. There is also a small cafe inside the museum. You need at least 2 hours for visiting the whole place.

A very wonderful industrial museum that shows the stages of manufacturing machines, equipment and machines. It is characterized by a beautiful location on the sea. It is adjacent to a classy restaurant overlooking the sea. It is possible to eat the best types of food in it... The most beautiful thing I have seen is the military submarine and I recommend visiting it

At first, I thought the museum only has a big single room full of old cool cars. Boy was I wrong... The place spans over multiple rooms and 2 floors. The collection not only includes cars from the start of the last century, but you can also find trams, trains, motorcycles, bikes, boats, yachts, some planes, helicopters and even a submarine. As you can see the collection has a wide variety of means of transportation and there are also some exhibitions which showcase how various engines work.

It's the second time we visit Istanbul but we didn't know about this place for thr first time. The museum is absolutely amazing! We have visited lots of countries and different museums but none of them can beat Rahmi Koc. We stayed for about 4 or 5 hours there and it wasn't enough. You don't have to be or to have a kid to visit this museum. The place is suitable for all kind of ages!

One of the best places in Istanbul if you are planning to spend time in museums and found something interesting! Loads of equipment will not keep you bored and everyone will find something decent for him. Never mind if you are a 5 year old child or 45 y.o. marine engineer, this place with attract you and keep there for a long time!

By far one of the best interactive museums I have visited. The four star is because many of the exhibits had their descriptions in only Turkish. Rest, it was splendid. Many amazing exhibits, working models and immense knowledge. My favourites would be the ‘how it works?’, locomotives, Cars and outdoor exhibition.

A must visit museum in Istanbul that is great for the whole family. It is next to the Golden Horn so gives amazing views at water level, has a very good restaurant and the museum itself never ceases to surprise me with new things despite having gone there several times. Perfect for kids as they will find boats, trains, cars, airplanes and every other possible mode of transportation that has ever existed in there. This is a great place to learn about the Industrial Revolution, about the automotive industry, about how olive oil used to be made, and just so much more. One review really does not do it justice, you have to go there and enjoy it. It can be busy on weekends but even then it is big that it never feels cramped. The pictures I uploaded are from the side of the museum that are located across the street from the main building as it is often forgotten by visitors and I only discovered it existed a few months ago!

A must see place when you visit Istanbul ! This museum is insane, here you can see real old planes, trains, boats models, a lot of restaured classic old cars, and many many other things... There is also a real submarine that you can visit (not included in the museum entry ticket, if you want to see it be sure to ask for it's separate ticket at the entry) The museum is separated in two parts, on both sides of the road, so don't miss the second part ! You can literally spend the whole day here, I definetly recommand

Very nice museum. Have a lot of things to see, mostly focused on transportation. Be aware, during week days there will be literally tones of school trips. At 14:30 each day you can visit inside of a submarine Tickets are not expensive, few places to sit and have cola or beer. If you do it fast, it's around 1h to see it all. It is a bit far away, but if you take a bus 47 it takes you there in max 30 minutes, if no big traffic.

Wonderful place, you will enjoy everything, suitable for all ages. The place is divided into many areas, the first area you will find when you step inside is for classic cars, there is a nice collection of classic cars from well known manufacturers, and all the cars are in a perfect condition. Then there's an area for old machines, like computers, cameras, etc. You will find the first Mac PC there. There is also an area for classic motorcycles, really enjoyable, you can see Elvis Presley's bike too. Also be sure to check the boats area, and the classic engines, trains, and airplanes areas. It closes at 5 PM so make sure to go early enough, it takes more than 3 hours to see everything inside, but it really worth it. Have a great time exploring the past.

This very nice museum belongs to the Koç family (one of the richest of the entire Turkey). It hosts a lovely exposition of historical and contemporary technological devices, as well as some train wagons, planes and boats (a few of them can also be visited inside), ship engines, and a remarkable collection of classic cars.

Awesome museum worth visiting. Rahmi Koç Museum deserves international praise with its high museum standards and rich collections. It has free car park so you will not waste time searching for a parking slot. The sections are so well designed with explanatory cards in Turkish and English. Once you visit the museum, you should also see the submarine that operated in World War II. There are restaurants and cafes where you can eat delicious food. Toilets are built nearly in every section. The only thing is you can smoke outside, which should be forbidden as well.

Renovated church is kept in the supergood condition. It does not feel like church, rather like a museum. Exhibition is small but cute, don’t have huge expectations but if you walk nearby spend 30mins and 10 TL to enjoy old cars, machines, engines, tools, toys, inventories etc. We really admired interior, especially stained glass windows that bring extra warmness to the overall charming atmosphere

(Translated by Google) It is a wonderful building and museum brought to our country by the Koç Family. The church, which became a complete ruin years ago, has been very well restored. A museum has been created where people of all ages will enjoy and be informed. Once again, I was happy because there are products produced by the Koç Group in my house. There are not many families that add some of their earnings from their country as a surplus value to their country. The most important activity to do in Ayvalık is to visit this museum. You can relax in the cafeteria, use their clean and pleasantly decorated toilets and buy something from the sales department to contribute to the museum. I also want to mention that; it is evident that the staff are well selected and well trained.

Good museum and location. Koç family is one of the leading industrialists in Turkey, hence the museum inventory is based on extensively machinery, cars, engines, boats, trains… but the organization of the items and spatial themes is a underwhelming. They have nice collections of diverse stuff but it is weird to see hats, motorcycles and baby carriages in the same place…

This museum is excellent with an extraordinary array of things to look at. The quality and breadth is amazing, with restoration and maintenance all being world class. Took me ages to get here but very glad I did. The cars on display were the highlight for me and the Riva speed boats. Congratulations Koc family.

This one deserves a rare 5 star. It does not seem one, but it is quite huge. I spent close to 4 hours and still had parts that we didn't cover.

Ammaaaazing place , you must visit and see the place. You should spend not less than 5 hours. If you have children it is a perfect place to visit. cause you can teach your child about combustion motors and other mechanical simple information about ships , yacht , shaft and other. If you like doll and mini houses it is also a must visit place. If you like trains and such stuff is also a place you must visit. I have shared around 18 photos here you can also check them.

This museum was a surprise. Id been to Istanbul before, so was looking for something different. As a transport enthusiast I was impressed by the quality and diversity of the exhibits here. The cars, trams and models of trains were excellent. I thought I'd seen it all in 2 hours, but found much more and spent most of the day there.

Even though me and my family have been to Istanbul so many times, we have never been to this museum before and it is such a shame! This museum would be both interesting to kids and adults! Such an amazing idea to create such a museum with so many different and interesting objects (starting from toys to the airplanes, trains, vehicles, etc.) from all over the world. This is a truly heritage. And the atmosphere of the place is just fascinating! And this place is just an initiative of one person (Rahmi Koc) who had a passion, desire and money (of course) to make his dream come true. It is amazing that wealthy and educated people do contribute to their country and the whole world in such a remarkable way!

It is a must visit. It has all kinds of road transportation historical items, and their details. Not just cars but bikes, motor bikes, ships, ox carts and horse carriages. And interesting facts about all of them. The science museum on the first floor, in the first corridor makes it a perfect place to visit with children.

Nice place to spend time with family. My son likes it very much. Great collection of cars, vehicles, machinery, and equipment. The exhibition provides you the chance to track industry progress. Large number of interactive objects (from the steam engines to dishwasher).

An amazing experience ✨️. Your mind will make alot of simulation between the past and the present. This exhibition opens the horizons of visitors young and old. It is an impressive industrial cultural science museum.

A great place to visit. Especially with kids. Unlike some other museums, here you can find some interactive stuff like cross sectioned engines, which could be started and the one can see how it actually works.

Nice museum, but price for entrance is high. If you use TriPass card, where it is shown that museum is free of charge, it is misleading information and you have to pay for entrance anyway. Museum collection is big and will be interesting for kids as well as adults.

I and my family were amazed by the a huge collections of items displayed. There were so much to see. The museum takes you back in time. It worth the visit, be prepared to spend 3 to 4 hours or even 5 to see everything.

Great museum for all ages! The vehicle collection is huge and it includes cars, bicycles, motorcycles, planes and boats. Unfortunately, the submarine is taken away from the museum for the moment, but there are many other things to see there! You can also see how a car engine works or how household objects function. Definetly recommend!

A stunning museum of engineering and technology. it has cars, boats, ships, wagons, trains, planes, steam engines and even all the vintage Macintosh PCs. There is a section where you can see how internal combustion engines, dishwashers, washing machines, and even a submarine work. There are a cafe and restaurant on site.

A wonderful museum. They have many things. If you're at all interested in the history of technology you should go. We got there by ferry from central Istanbul. The ferry stop is only 5 minutes' walk away (the photo I attach to this was taken from the ferry while we were leaving). We were there for 2.5 hours and could easily have stayed a lot longer.

👍👍 It's a beautiful place to visit while in Istanbul. First of all you can find your all time favourite human beings as a sculpture. Than you can spend some time with some easter eggs there such as puzzles and such. The sculptures looks so realistic that they would look into your eyes. And the stuff is...
