Good historic place to visit. Travel : You can get shared Auto (Rs.30-40) sharing per adult from Baba. Also u can book a direct auto where you need to negotiate. This site is on the way towards Ellora, hence you can first try to visit Ellora and then drop of here while returning from Ellora. (Reason : The site inside is a hige property hence you need to walk a lot in this. The Citadel is located at the top hence you need to be energetic for the same.) Eateries : There are many eateries available right outside the main gate, hence snacks, juices, lunch/dinner won't be an issue to find out. Tickets : Again you can scan the QR from google lens or directly pay in cash at the counter. Rs. 20 per individual.

Chand Minar is at Daulatabad. It was built in the Turkish style in 1435 by Ala-ud-din Bahmani to celebrate his occupation of the fort. This minaret is an outstanding example of Islamic art. This 30-metre high tower is divided into four storeys. It has 24 chambers and a small mosque at its base. It is covered with the Persian blue tiles that make the Chand Minar outstanding. Path passes bastions; studded gates, a drawbridge and the Chini Mahal, where Abdul Hasan Tana Shah, the last King of Golconda, was imprisoned in 1687 for 13 years are the important attractions of the tomb. There is also a 6.6m long 'Kila Shikan' (Fort Breaker) iron cannon on the bastion. There are 100-steps stairs that lead to the 'Baradari' (pavilion) at the end of the tunnel inside the citadel. This pavilion is said to be the palace of the Yadavi Queen and later Shah Jahan. There is another cannon at the top with a ram's head on the butt. Around the muzzle of the cannon, it is inscribed in Persian as "Creator of storms". Aurangabad is well connected by air, rail and road with the important places within and beyond the state.

Chand Minar was built as a triumphal sign after Ala-ud-din Bahmani captured the Deogiri fort. The minaret was used by the Marathas under their rule in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was also used by the British during their rule in the 19th century. It is a testament to the skill of the then-Indian architects who built it.

It is part of Daulatabad fort premises. Every one who visit Aurangabad for tourism should have this fort in there list. Ambience and cleanliness is good. Government toilet facility is there along with drinking water(subjected to availability of water). To avoid plastic pollution administration took 20 rupee per water bottle refundable deposit which can be collected while exit on showing the bottle. Fort is in well maintained condition.

Terrific place to visit! Was stunned to see how well it was maintained with literally no trash and filth around it unlike many other monuments in India. Although the spiral staircase which leads to the top of the tower has been closed now but this tower is worth tha visit being the second tallest on standing in India.

Chand minar is in Daulatabad near Aurangabad city. This is inside Daulatabad/Devgiri fort area. It is built by Ala-ud-din Bahmani . The style of construction is Islamic architecture. The inspiration to build this Minar is from Qutub Minar . Tourists are not allowed inside the Minar or on top . It is 4 storeys building with balconies . Beautiful area to click pictures. Interesting history to it. DO checkout our YouTube channel to know more. Minar is visible from all the parts of the fort. Height of Minar is one thirt of total fort.

One of the great monument when you visit DAULATABAD fort. It's a bit orange to brown in colour. It can be seen from different parts of the fort with different view. But trust me.. every time it looks different. The view you get of Chand Minar from fort , wins ones heart.

Charminar is built in the memory of the victory on Gurjart in 1445 by Ahmed Shah 2nd. Great structure with height of 71mtr approximately. However slightly colour is faded and water marks present. But must visit spot during Daulatabad fort trek.
