We met up with my Son's family for lunch, this was second occasion so that itself is testamony to how much we liked it. Service was excellent and food well prepared and presented. The place is very popular and was still busy at 3pm on the Sunday we ate there. There is a full menu and plenty of choice of starters mains and desserts. Plus options for children.

Such a wonderful spacious restaurant, great menu and wonderful atmosphere. I had brought two elderly gentlemen who are in the 70s and 80s year old. They both had their 21st birthdays back in the days in formal dress! This was a real trip down memory lane, staff were very welcoming. Seating inside and outside, good parking space and disabled access and a fabulous glass of prosecco. Cheers!

Stopped here for a drink outside on the patio because the weather was particularly fine for a March afternoon. Very smart place inside too, next time we visit I think we'll try lunch.

Was here for food sat outside lovely area. Loved the hummus look so pretty and tasted lovely. Also had squid so tasty!! The salmon nice but I found the vegetables salty, I do love rock salt but it's alot more stronger than regular salt so need to be abit more light handed with the salt. I tried my friends dessert looks so pretty and rich in flavour very nice if you still have room for dessert. Drinks wise loving the cocktails and great customer service felt very looked after, chilled atmosphere would definitely go again.

Fed up of wasting my money here! Gave it another chance last night and yet again left disappointed. I worked in Hospitality for 12 years and this by far is the worst service i've ever seen. I have been 3 times in the past month with different groups. The first - DIRTY BURGER nothing dirty about it and was very small and dry no one came and checked on us we had to keep going to find someone to serve us. The second time - 16oz CHATEAUBRIAND FOR TWO - the three others on our table had their food and yet 35 mins later we still hadn't received ours once again had to go look for staff. 10 min later it came out - cold. we weren't given steak knives and the staff never apologised just dropped the plate didn't ask if we needed anything else and walked off - leaving the other dirty plates on the table. never saw a member of staff again. The third time, last night, the final straw. SPICED COCONUT CURRY - I was asked if I wanted to add any chicken as I wasn't vegan, and I said yes. waited longer than the others on the table when my food came out the driest lump of chicken had just been put on top of my food. it looked like cat sick. the staff walked off and didn't ask if the other two meals were okay - the KING PRAWN, CRAB & CHORIZO LINGUINE was not, and most of it was left. and I hadn't got any cutlery, again didn't see anyone again not even to clear the plates. The food is not worth the price and the service is abysmal.

3 times it took to get a glass that was clean was told it’s watermarks. Ok fair enough finally glass was “polished” but at a place like this I excepted a clear glass to begin with. Photos was our 2nd glass thinking these would be clean, before drinking any. Feel petty posting but considering had cleaner glasses “water marks” at a weatherspoons had to be said. 3 starts as food and drinks previously have been spot on and staff was all nice and professional.

Service was excellent (we had Sophie), she seated us in the private dining room even though I hadn’t booked it because it was free, it was my birthday and we had two little ones with us so it was perfect. I had a free dessert for my birthday that read ‘happy birthday’ which was a really kind, lovely touch. Atmosphere was really nice, food was great and our whole party agreed, we didn’t have a long wait time for drinks or food, really nice experience. The only downside is food is a little pricey.

We've been looking forward to coming here for a while now, and I'm glad we finally made it. The decor is lovely, lots of green and gold with very nice furniture. Cosy, but not in an old country pub way...the lighting is fantastic which adds to an overall very trendy and upmarket feel. Staff were welcoming and chatty, very friendly and polite. The food was really nice, but not amazing, and I thought it was a little overpriced for what it was, but not by much. I'd probably go back as a group of friends for a night, rather than date night as a couple.

Good evening out with colleagues for our team Xmas meal. Slow service but understandable as it was the week before Xmas. I had the salmon which was beautifully cooked

We were welcomed and brought to our table with a professional manor. The food was out before our tummy could rumble and perfectly presented, even better in taste. We had check backs and were felt well looked after by the staff special thanks to lauren for making our food with care

We are fairly regular customers and have done Christmas here a few times but after this experience we won't bother again next year. We were even unsure about booking again as last year 5 of us were crammed on a small table but we were reassured we'd have a better table this year, which we did. We arrived at 12:40 for our 1pm table and planned to have a drink in the bar but we were told our table was ready and we could have a drink there until we were ready for food. After being sat down for a few minutes the amuse bouche arrived so we mentioned to our waitress that we were just having a drink for now and didn't want our food yet as we had also told the host. Then our starters came... We told the runners that we had asked not to have our food yet and they spoke to the host and he said noone had told him?! The response was that there's nothing they can do now the starters are out but they will hold off calling away the mains. Not only were we served food far earlier than we wanted to be but one of them was even the wrong dish. Further disgruntlement came from the fact that it stated figs on the menu and it wasn't even a whole fig on the plate. We did have a nice wait before our main which was appreciated. The mains were fine but all the roast potatoes were very pale, the bottom of the dauphinoise was black and the beef wellington was overcooked but also had raw pastry! We were also very disappointed that the sprouts were shredded - we used to love the gratin! We couldn't even mention the issues during the meal as we never had a check back. Even trying to order a drink was a nightmare. We had to flag a waiter down and were never actually asked if we wanted to order one. Unfortunately we asked for the service charge to be taken off as we were so disappointed by the service. Thank you to the manager with the longish hair who actually tried to deal with the issue. He took the service charge off for us and made a gesture to compensate us with some complimentary drinks. Such a shame as it's meant to be the best dinner of the year and we left feeling disappointed and ripped off. We would come back but never for a special occasion.

Versatile country gastro pub. Lovely seating area outside for sunny days. Comfy seats inside and extensive menu. Highly recommend for “ladies what lunch” :-). Attentive service. Good cocktail selection, but on the pricier side.

This is one of our locals and we come here quite often for drinks as we love the atmosphere and the decor. I visited with family for food last Friday around 3pm and was really blown away by the service. We were a table of 6 with a lot of different food orders (we ordered loads of the small plates instead of just mains, as well as cocktails, mains and desserts) and the service was fantastic. We had a younger female waitress who went above and beyond to look after us and make sure everything was right, and she was also super friendly. The food was amazing too!

Visited for lunch and drinks which we had in the bar. Decided on some small plates to share tapas style. The plates were indeed small, was a little dissapointed that the food whilst served speedily wasnt very hot.

I ordered a cold buffet. The food was amazing! The team were so incredibly helpful. I arrived slightly early which wasn't an issue, they brought the food out early, plates etc. were cleaned up quickly. The area where we were sat was lovely and out the way as we had a couple of children with us. Very impressed with the service and quality. Highly recommend! They made my son's christening day even more special!

Took father in law out for Father's day lunch offer. Great price for 3 courses. Very full after. Thanks to all the staff 👍

Lovely setting, great relaxed atmosphere, excellent waiter. Food arrived well presented and without delay, though not so fast that we felt rushed. Lovely family meal, diners on our table selected wide variety of different dishes from the menu, including one from the child's menu, something for everyone and all great quality, freshly made food. Some chose coffees, several different cocktails, no wine this time, but a decent choice of wine on offer. Overall a lovely, leisurely family meal and we all thought well priced for the quality of service, food and environment - well done team Lyttleton!

Good Sunday roast. Roasties could have been a bit more crispier. Service was decent. The atmosphere was generally good. Definitely a better evening vibe than the day.

The pan fried wild scallops were an excellent starter and the slow cooked pork belly, although haram, was beautiful. The use of the carrot & red pepper purée, truffle potatoes and Bordelaise sauce made it very exciting. The waiting time was surprisingly quick for how busy the restaurant was. The bar staff and waiters are very friendly although I must deduct a star because my order was incorrectly taken however this issue was resolved promptly by Jess. Shoutout to Alex and Greg in the kitchen for the excellent meal.

I held a surprise birthday party last night at the Lyttelton arms in the function down stairs, everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was a lovely night thank you to all of my colleagues for making the night so special but a massive thank you to Beth our lovely bartender who attended to all my guests needs through out the night and Lauren in the kitchen for cooking our delicious food, everyone made it very special thank you all very much !!! Xxx

Great atmosphere nice seating and great staff. The food is good a group us were going every week. The only downside is the menu hasn’t changed and they have no specials so we now trying different venues.

Brilliant pub in Hagley, good customer service and food even for a busy Sunday afternoon. I had ordered a house soda (lychee and mint) which tasted refreshing but wasn’t as strong in flavour as I thought it would be. The food was brilliant, even being alittle pricey, but you do get what you paid for. Me and my friend both ordered the chicken roast and it was lovely. Plenty of seating options available, inside and outside.
