The Wellsee in Kiel is really big. Very nice for long walks through nature. There is a new corner to discover everywhere. It is totally clean and well maintained there. Pure nature with ducks, geese, blackbirds, blue tits and seagulls. The atmosphere is really nice. Highly recommended even at sunset.

I like our Wellsee and enjoy using it for a walk. It's nice that you've been able to walk around completely for a few years now.

A beautiful lake to walk by, but not even around. However, you can sit on its bank, there is a bench, and all around there are meadows with cows and various fields. In winter, when it's frozen, and really frozen, you can actually go ice skating here. Unfortunately, this is not a swimming lake as wastewater was discharged in the past, but this was at least 30 years ago. The Wellsee and a nature reserve have now been created around the Wellsee.

Nice to go for a walk and relax with a view of the lake. Also a nice route for Nordic walking

Good for walking. Then in the Wellsee pub. Quench thirst.

Great for ice skating in winter. Unfortunately there is no direct circular hiking trail. Unfortunately, there are also too many cyclists on the road, so walkers rarely have peace and quiet.
