+ Very clean and nice rooms + The staff is nice and friendly + the hotel is located in the middle of the city, very close to the old town and the (tourist) harbour + free parking is available just 300m away + aircon is available + new and big TV 📺 + Fast wifi - the windows of the room can not open - the breakfast reminded me more on a canteen then a restaurant - it was so busy in the morning, that it was hard to get a seat - there is a limited offer in what to get on the morning - allergies are not labeled on the products. Due to the placement of the buffet cross contermination is very likely - lactose free milk is available - gluten free bread is available, however if you can not eat traces of gluten you have a very limited choice on what you can eat

I called after midnight to the hotel and asked if they had a room available for the night as I couldn't book it in the Hilton Honours app anymore. The receptionist took my details and HH number and told me that she would have a room available for us. Before we arrived (3.30 in the morning) the receptionist made sure the room was prepared and ready to use. Upon arrival she also offered a late checkout. The next morning when we woke up we were greeted by a friendly woman at the reception desks who asked if we wanted to stay a bit longer in case we didn't sleep long enough. Luckily, the hotel has very comfortable beds and we slept like an old lady in church on Sunday morning. During checkout we got offered free drinks and snacks as we missed breakfast. The services received where absolutely outstanding and far above expectation. We truly felt appreciated as loyal Hilton customers thanks to the team of this hotel. The level of services should be used as example for other Hilton Hotels in Germany where we have stayed before. They can definitely learn something from this hotel!!

A very minimalistic, but clean and friendly hotel located a short walking distance from the central bus station. There is a special weekend market of local farmers and local coffee/food tracks every second Saturday just in front of the hotel. You can command a nice view over the city as there are at least 13 floors. The room prices are not expensive. I liked the sustainable bathroom amenities in big packages (not single use). Keep in mind that the space in the room can be very minimal for storage and there are no usb sockets, there is a good selection of normal electric sockets by the beds, however.

Decent and clean hotel. Breakfast was overcrowded but that was because that morning the hotel was filled with guests that went on a cruise the next day. Only downside is that you shouldn't leave your car on the cheaper open parking area on Fridaynight because it will be towed away (there is a market on Saturday). We saw guests who lost their car because of this. You can park your car in the Wunderino Arena car park next to the hotel.

After 40 minutes still waiting to check in , other people are helped , no explanation to as why we have to wait , only there seems to be a problem with the rooms , what I could hear . At least offer something to drink . No service , naar communication, not normal to be having to wait in the lounge for 45 minutes when the room is paid , unbelievable, never again Hampton by Hilton, unbelievable

I was there with my husband and my small kid. We got a quite big room that was clean and the view was good, but the beds (we got one big bed and one sofa bed) the big bed was very uncomfortable and the sofa bed was under all critic. It was the worst sofa bed we have ever experienced in our lives. The back was literally in two pieces after the night. For that kind of hotel, you should do much better and purchase a good quality madres. Even though it was a continental breakfast, they didn’t even have the most essential as for example scramble eggs. It was not lots of options and the coffee was terrible. The hotel was good when it came to the location and they had 24-service reception but it’s quite overpriced.

Absolutely 5star hotel. I love the room with harbour view on the 13th floor. Super soundproof. Fantastic shower. Very comfortable bed (but little bit small). Perfect location close to downtown. Breakfast super, staff super. I can only recommend.

Very Nice Hotel. Friendly staff. Big spacious lobby area. Clean room. Very comfortable bed. Nice view from the room. The only downsides I found is both CNN and BBC (only English speaking TV Channels) did not work and no wash clothes in the bathroom for shower. Nice breakfast in the morning. Big seating area.

Nice location and rooms. Elevators undersized and unstable, and ended up using the stairs most of the time. If you end up in one of the top floors, you have my sympathy... Breakfast facilities are hopelessly undersized for the amount of guests, and we ended up eating at a coffee table in the lobby. As well as several other guests. The buffet was cramped, and lots of things missing/not being refilled. I understand hotel breakfasts can get busy at peaks, but this was more like a total system breakdown.

New hotel. Good location. Lot of groups at the time of my stay. Size of the room was ok. AC worked as it should. Wi-fi was fast. Good selection of food for the breakfast.

Room was fantastic but the unorganised chaos that they call breakfast ruined the whole experience. Not enough seating, to cramped serving area and employee seem to have to much to do and the whole thing was a disaster..

Good location, nice hotel, very busy! Kiel HBF is 10 minute walk away. Walking distance to some lovely restaurants. Harbour and cruise ships close by, 10-15 minute walk. Tidy room on arrival, but they do a poor job on cleaning up the rooms and tidying the bed when you are staying there for a while. Not a great selection of fruit for breakfast, just melons. Parking can be tricky, bring euro coins for the machines. Be aware there is a nearby car park where you cannot park on a Wednesday or Saturday due to the local market. If you park there, they will tow your car away and fine you! Apart from that, reception are friendly, helpful and speak English. All good for a few nights.

Almost exactly one year lies between this and our last stay in this hotel. We have positive memories of the last stay. Primarily because of the very friendly staff at the reception. This is what you should know about this hotel: - The hotel is located on the outskirts of the old town. This and the train station can be reached on foot within a maximum of 10-15 minutes. It is more difficult at the ship terminals. Especially with suitcases it is quite sporty to walk there. It is better to take a cab. - The rooms are very small, even for a Hampton. But that is not really true. They are kind of stupidly cut, that would probably meet it better. - The elevator system regularly tests your patience. It can be that you have to wait a very long time until an elevator comes. - The breakfast is Hampton-standard. No more and no less. However, the breakfast room is always quite full. Accordingly, it is then also at the buffet. Has anything changed since our last stay? Yes, it has. Unfortunately, something negative. As a Hilton Diamond member, we no longer felt as valued during this stay as we did before. During our stay a year ago, we still had drinks and snacks on the house. This time, no more. Instead, there is a letter from the Operations Manager with my one-liner and a signature printed on it. We also nicely emailed to thank them for the welcome and noted that we liked the welcome better last time. The answer was quite noncommittal. Unfortunately, we had to ask 2x during this stay until our room was cleaned. Although we were not in the room for several hours throughout the day. Shortly before 5 pm it worked out with the cleaning. It was ok, but you could see that it had to go fast. For 1,2 nights before or after a cruise, the hotel can be recommended.

Disappointed with the dirt all around the hotel. It’s not my first time staying at this hotel and before everything was great, which made us come again. This time they didn’t clean the room properly- there were hairs all around bathroom, stains on bed linen and very dirty breakfast area. Wish they payed more attention to this

Super Hotel in Kiel, for a short stay in the city. Very clean room, great breakfast and short distance to the city-center. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Good location in the city center, everything is within walking distance. If you stay on the higher floors, you can see a great view from the windows. Simple, but at the same time unobtrusive and pleasant service. The rooms are well furnished and have everything you need. The beds are comfortable. There is also a sofa for a third person, which is more suitable for a child. Parking is paid, in the nearby multi-storey parking lot or in the market square (There are parking restrictions on certain days, so please note.) 30 m from the hotel. Breakfast - ok. Small minuses - in the morning the breakfast area is small, so you may have to wait until you find a place to sit down, especially for a larger company. And slow and congested elevators.

Dare I say that the rooms are much nicer than the normal Hilton and Hampton inn rooms I stay in during the year in the USA.I spend 100-120 nights per year in them. so I think I have seen a few hotels. the hotel is very clean and nice. right in the heart of the city where I wanted to be. the breakfast was great as well.

This is a must stay hotel if your visiting Kiel! It is just perfectly located. The room was excellent, large, well-appointed and very clean. Great check in experience, a good breakfast and really helpful and upbeat breakfast staff. The staff in were professional, polite and showed a genuine interest. Stay here if you're looking for a memorable experience.

Hotel in city center just few minutes walk from Main Street with all shops, bars and so on. Huge advantage of this hotel - big indoor parking (parkhaus) right next to it (door to door)! I got an amazing room with city view! Nice clean rooms. Dislike - no minibar fridge in room :( Huge like - breakfast included in price

Hotel feels new and fresh, location is good easy walk to center, public parking just across the road from the Hotel, just some small things as forgot fill upp stuff for shower and body lotion and a cup that was not fresh, and not happy the toilet brush is located just under toilet paper,? 🙄 So stupid location

Second time here, but breakfast service like in a train station, no smile or any word from the staff. Parking is +25 EUR a night in the same komplex, but no discount for hotel guests, a no go. So avoid if you can.

The place was clean and the staff was friendly but what drove me crazy were their 2 small elevators that serves guests but also their cleaning staff. It’s a rather new hotel so it was confusing to me why they didn’t build a service elevator. No offense to the crew but I am sure it must bug them as well and hinders their productivity. That and the buttons with a keycard did not work. Sometime they worked and somedays they didn’t. Warning too.. it gets crowded since the ferry docks just a 1 Km away. Morning breakfast was good but also crowded.

Really liked the hotel, its not far from everything, its a big public parking spot right outside that us free on sunday and public holidays. So worked out perfect for us. Rooms was clean and fresh. Really good service from the receptionist. Will come back if i ever visit Kiel again.

Staff were awesome, hotel was very nice. Breakfast was wonderful. Parking was pricey IMO but other than that great. ( another person on the front desk would have been ideal, Hilton can afford it )

Nice new hotel in the center. Average breakfast. No housekeeping in our two night stay.

Rooms are very new and very clean. Gym was good but no towels and no water due to Corona situation. Also no hotel parking spots, you have to park wherever you get a free space. For some reason the room was today 189 €. The receptionist told me because of full booked hotel. That cant be serious. Usually in Hampton by Hilton the rooms are 90-120€ (maximum). In the end its still a 3 star hotel. You cant charge 189€ for a room, and certainly not in Kiel. Thats why only 3 stars.

The room was good and the staff friendly. However they were drastically understaffed. Especially at the breakfast. It was a complete mess. Most of the food was gone. Too many people. No sigh of a hygiene concept except they ask you to use mask and plastic gloves on the buffet. The croissants and the sausages were burned. Won’t go there again.

Ok place to stay for us. Stayed for two nights. We were lucky that we got a room on only the second floor, as the elevators were way beyond capacity around breakfast, and we eventually have up on using them completely. A brand new hotel, and the shower is designed in such a way that the floor in the bathroom gets splashed when you shower. Why does new hotels insist on this ridiculous trend, just make showers be functional instead...

Super clean hotel that still smells new and is in perfect condition. It is is in a very convenient location and free breakfast was great. The value was also excellent. We would love to stay here again sometime.

The perfect beds! Wider than normal hotel beds and medium hard matress. Clean hotel and room. Nice breakfast.

Central location Kiel, rooms very comfortable & spotless, only thing leaves down is the buffet breakfast where there was plenty of choice it was pure chaos with queues & replenishing food ( putting down to current Covid restrictions) Breakfast area not big enough for size of hotel. Saying that I would still recommend to anyone travelling to this fabulous City
