Entry at Niyo Arts Gallery is FREE. Every purchase you make some percentage goes back to support the 120 need children in a program by the Gallery Founder. There are also some very nice art work. I bought myself some. You can actually contact the gallery from their socials or website in case you need to know something. I also believe they have the traditional dance happening on either from Thursday. In case I go there again I will confirm this and update accordingly. When in Kigali don't fail to go to this place. Taking of photos is allowed.

A superb gallery with its own sandy beach! Great art, so much to look at and choose from. A very stylish cafe-bar. Friendly staff. Some proceeds support a children's charity. Definitely worth visiting. Free to view but donations accepted and worth making.

Niyo Arts Gallery has been our favorite gallery in Kigali. The place itself is so colourful and beautifully decorated. We spoke to the founders brother who is also an artist and he showed us the area and also the location in the back where many of the artists work. There is a large variety of artwork and everything is so beautiful. We really enjoyed our time here. The cafe is also really nice and serves very tasty food.

The gallery itself is really good, and the art pieces are truly amazing. However, it seems that the management is pretty weak in administering the place. When I visited, there was literally no one on site to help me or provide an explanation. The lights were off, and I thought they may be closed, but all the doors were wide open. In the backyard, you could see washed clothes hanging to dry, which is really not a part of the gallery, and disturbs its image. Unfortunately, I did not feel welcome. There was also no clear indication on how I could purchase a painting, and there was no one to explain. The area is very nice and you can take some good photos but the management really needs to step up in receiving their clients.

It’s got a different vibe from other art galleries. There’s such a clean feeling with the paintings. The entrance is designed with paint on the walls and floor. It’s just beautiful to step into a different world of art

Kigali's highest rated art gallery. Artist-owned and run. There are hundreds of meticulous pieces of artwork on display. Entrance is free. Most are large pieces for large homes and commercial spaces but they can produce on order to any size. Beautiful space to be for art lovers. The restaurant on site offers great coffee and delectable meals.

Definitely rating this place a 10/10. So many beautiful and unique paintings hung on the walls and somehow they feel so....african! The street where its located is super quiet and let's not even talk about the Café opening soon. If you love art then Darling, you won't regret visiting Niyo Arts Center !

David, the proprietor, is friendly and engaging. The gallery showcases dozens of pieces in varying styles and price points and pledges to donate 40% toward a good cause. You can also enjoy the cafe in front and a beachy scene in back!

Using arts as medium of change. The Niyo art center supports over 125 Street children with education, healthcare and food. 40 % of the sales of artworks goes to this course. The center offers painting and drumming classes. If you are in rwanda looking for some art as well as a way to give back then the Niyo Arts Center is for you.

This is such a beautiful, vibrant gallery, and my favourite in Kigali by far. It has just been completely redone, with beautiful and affordable pieces by 15+ very talented Rwandan artists. Best of all they support not just artists but school fees for vulnerable children. Definitely a must-see in Rwanda! Now with a delicious, creative café on site too!

Beautiful artworks to admire and shop. Met with David, he was able to throw more light on most of the art displayed. Lovely place, it’s a good place to stop by in Kigali. Funds raised in this place are for the foundation, which is very charitable.

We had a wonderful visit at the Niyo Arts Gallery yesterday! My husband and I were greeted by the lovely curator Jemima, who provided the history and mission of the gallery (Niyo Foundation gives 40% of profits towards helping children and woman living in poverty in Rwanda). As we were making our way through the gallery, we met Dieudonne, who showed us to the back area where we were able to see artists in action. Thanks for making us feel so welcome! I highly recommend taking a moment to visit the gallery during your stay in Kigali. The murals outside were a real treat as well - an overall sensory delight!

Small gallery but with stunning artists, all the paints are so beautiful and also there you can see some sculpture with recycled. You must be go to visit the gallery and have look, the people are really nice, useful with information and friendly. Some of this paints are display in the hotel MILLE COLLINES (Hotel Rwanda themovie). By the way, they sale the paints as well.

Less known than other arts centers in the area, Niyo featured several artists from and around Rwanda. The space was filled with art work of various sizes and styles. The staff leave you to explore and visit without hovering over you. A portion of the proceeds goes to helping street children through their own local non-profit. Beautiful and stunning pieces were there. If you pay in USD, you can get a slight discount.

This is the best arts gallery in Kigali. They have beautiful portraits housed in an artful environment. Their colorful setting is aesthetic and makes even the least art enthusiast want to come back.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon, basically ignored the whole time I was in the gallery house, couldn't get the owner to attend to me, realised why when a white lady got into the gallery. At least the restaurant was better in terms of getting service from the waitresses, who were friendly and quick. The worst part of my day came when I was served expensively-priced, clearly store-bought ice cream, which had already gone bad, the cream had already separated from the syrup!!! So I basically got clumps of syrupy-ice and bad milk. I threw away good money 🥲. Only good thing I can say about it is that I got to discover Fabian Akimana, the man has beautiful art, definitely a fan! Though he has his own gallery I think.
