The place is so good. You can find a lot of restaurants there and they all offer high quality service. Entrance is free. I loved it.

Nice. Lots of restaurant, well organized. The promoters will tell you what they have. Shame that you cannot check a simple menu with a few photos - for those of us mzungus who are not yet familiar with the cuisine 🤓

Carfree Zone is simply amazing! The food is incredibly delicious, and the staff provides warm and friendly service. Don’t let the waiters throw you off – they’re just doing their job and striving to deliver excellent service. It might feel a bit unusual on your first visit, but once you’ve been there 2-3 times, they’ll recognize you and genuinely welcome you back. It’s a fantastic location with an equally great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Biryogo Car Free Food Street in Nyamirambo, Kigali, is a vibrant hub of culinary delight. With diverse food options ranging from traditional Rwandan dishes to international flavors, it's a paradise for food lovers. The prices are affordable, and the lively atmosphere, filled with the aroma of street food, creates a welcoming community vibe. The family-friendly environment adds to the charm, making it a must-visit destination in Kigali.

I've been many times. Only downside is the persistent harassment of the sales people trying to pull you into their restaurants. Restaurants are liable to overcharge for food, tea and take away boxes. Otherwise all is good

I second what other reviewers have said. A great place, part of the old, real Kigali. Not at all like the tourist hotels. We ate at the Visit Rwanda. I tried a traditional Rwandan meal that was comprised of potato, green bananas (both were boiled) and beans in a sauce. It was rather bland, though the beans had some flavour and there was hot sauce on the side. I found the waiter way more professional than the ones we have had downtown. I wonder if that is because this area is older, the waiters have been there for years and in the newer places, the staff are also newer and less experienced. There are dozens of restaurants, but none serve alcohol. You will be accosted by pitchmen who are trying to convince you to go to a particular restaurant. I was with Rwandan friends, and they chose the place. Maybe if you are looking for a particular type of food, these guys could help you find it.
