There’s no question about the quality of the coffee and experience at Question Coffee! I absolutely love the support of women coffee growers by this woman-owned coffee shop. The taste of the coffee was par excellence! The setting is beautiful, inviting and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and even assisted me in charging my phone after a long day of snapping photos around the beautiful city of Kigali. Will definitely return…soon!

Friendly staff. Wide variety of coffee. Tried two machiatos - one with berry undertones and one with milk chocolate undertones. Both were delicious 🤤. I am not a coffee connoisseur but I could tell it was premium coffee 👌🏾. Also had a slice of lemon cake, it was fresh. The place is also clean and the environment outside was a pleasure to take in. There is this courtyard with lush greenery, and then there are two cafe areas one on either side of the coffee shop. It’s also quiet, so you could come to work here too. So options galore for the type of the atmosphere you’re looking for. I wish I came here earlier, it’s just lovely ♥️.

Question Coffee is a destination when in Kigali. The coffee and atmosphere offer a great opportunity to meet and work for hours. If you’re visiting Rwanda and want a taste of community and coffee culture they have a lab that specializes in coffee brewing and pouring.

In my opinion one of the best coffee spots in Kigali. The location is just beautiful - I love sitting outside. I can really recommend the Iced Summer Signature Drinks. So good!

Very very nice coffee shop! Not only is the place as such very nice, but the view and the ambience as well! Perfect for just reading your favourite newspaper or book, doing Ng some remote work or having a small meeting . Possibly the best coffee I've had in town, but most definitely the best looking (!) cup of coffee I've had. Highly recommended!

Good Coffee, croissants and pain au chocolat better than most places in Kigali but nowhere close to the French originals as some claimit to be. Service is mediocre. Menu is extremely limited. Its popularity is exaggerated for lack of quality places in the city.

Best coffee and best coffee shop in Kigali. The staff are all lovely and friendly and professional. The setting is beautiful with a beautiful, old acacia tree in the garden. Very good wifi too.

Learnt a lot about the different kinds of coffee in Rwanda and also all the steps that go into processing it before it reaches us. Did not know that coffee had such complex flavour profiles!

Staff are attentive and very ready to help. I have even heard to story of how Q Coffee came to be from Joshua and the social impact on women farmers and the value chain of coffee in Rwanda. I spent hours for a business meeting it felt like minutes.

Best coffee we've had in Kigali. Had the white cold brew and iced spicy latte. Diverse selection of coffee - hot and cold. They also have an array of coffee beans for sale in the shop. Plenty of outdoor, covered seating with beautiful views of a garden and the valley below. Blend of people working on laptops and socializing in both small and large groups. Wifi was decent when we were there. Great place to sit for a couple hours to work or to have a catch-up.

The layout is quite nice and spacious. Appears to be very popular as I couldn't get anywhere to seat at 10.00 am. My cappuccino was good , the service was fast but I can't rate other services as I couldn't stay

I got used to come here often. I always take caramel latte hot or cold, either taste nice. I like the atmosphere here and taste of coffee. It’s a pity that I can barely find an empty place when I go there. But the crowd build an ambiance 👍 Croissants are nice as well 👍

When it comes to coffee in East Africa, this is one of the top performers. Great taste, excellent product, amazing vision for women's cooperatives, and world class on the quality of coffee. Been there many times to drink and eat in as well as to purchase lots of coffee to take back to other countries.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Question Coffee in Kigali is more than just a cafe; it's a place with a mission. Powered by female coffee farmers, this establishment offers not only great coffee but also a heartwarming experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or engage in some work. Knowing that your visit supports female coffee farmers adds an extra layer of satisfaction. Highly recommended for coffee lovers with a social conscience!

Came twice to question coffee during my week in Kigali, once for the master class and once on a city tour, both times were excellent. Coffee is amazing, and the story behind them is great too. Take the master class if you have a chance!

The pain au chocolat was flaky and delicious. The flat white was good, but I wish it were a bit bigger. I really liked the atmosphere, it was really calm and relaxing. Service was not the fastest but was really good. It seems like a good place to go and get some work done. Will definitely go again to visit. I liked the pottery and the tray for the coffee and pain au chocolat. Very affordable prices for a Cafe. They have a lovely garden area as well as more seating. The seating was comfortable. It looked very clean.

This is a place I would recommend for people who want to carry out their work remotely, wants a cool and quiet place while enjoying coffee.

If you are looking for a calm place where to work or study, head straight to Question Coffee. Enough space for your personnal belongings and enough coffee for you to keep your sanity (especially when the burnt-out is near). Friendly staff and fast service! Remember to be quiet though, it's the perfect spot to study or work.

Very nice place for specialty coffee...mild, robust- describe your mannerism and preference and they will deliver that coffee type. Great outdoor spaces -wifi, cool, clean and airy. Mostly coffee and limited food accompaniments sandwiches and croissant.

Question Coffee is a great place to spend some time meeting with friends, for business or to sit and work. There are multiple outdoor, covered seating areas with plenty of different types of seating options. The coffee and the other beverages they offer are great, including a nice ginger tea. Their coffee is very good, and has rich flavors. I always take some home. They have very limited food, with just a few bakery items.

  • 5/5 Temi 7 months ago on Google
Coffee great. Had two flat whites and was not disappointed. Place gets busy though, so you might struggle to get somewhere to sit on a Saturday noon if you’re in a group. One negative thing is them charging for tap water ‘because it has lemon slices.’

We did the coffee course during our stay in Kigali, it's a project run by and for woman and to help the locals to grow better coffee in a sustainable way. We got a two hour course by a very nice female, university educated barista. Nice and well informed. First half was the explanation about coffee itself, discoverage, growth, areas treatment etc. And the next hour was the different ways to nose and taste and distinguish the different coffees. It wasa serieusly nice and well spend time and money. Arthur & Marian

Good chilled place to relax while enjoying good coffee. If you're taking the coffee class, Yolanda is such an amazing instructor. She's fun and she really understands how to help even the poorest of learners to understand the coffee brewing process. Highly recommend💯💯.

  • 3/5 Claire B. 1 year ago on Google
Good coffee but they are always sold out of food (cake/pastry) by early afternoon - why they haven't considered increasing supply is beyond me. Also, what a waste of plastic. Everyone who is seated for coffee still automatically receive takeaway cups. For a company trying to promote sustainable coffee production, this is the biggest paradox.

  • 5/5 Leonel C. 5 months ago on Google
Best coffee shop in Kigali. Delicious coffee and croissant... And you still help the women working with coffee. Definitely a stop when in town.

  • 5/5 Sali Mohsen M H. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing local women led coffee enterprise in Kigali. They have an amazing set up so you can try the different blends and coffee roast. The staff are helpful and will advise on the best beans and blend based on your taste and the kind of coffee machine you have. They also have a nice outdoor seating area. I highly recommend it for a morning coffee and gifts for the beloved ones abroad. Everyone loved these gifts.

  • 5/5 Jake R. 1 year ago on Google
Great coffee, croissant, lots of plugs for laptops if you want to work, free wifi, great patio design. Their restrooms are clean and they provide lotion too.

  • 4/5 Olivia K. 9 months ago on Google
Easily one of my favorite cafes. The coffee is really the highest quality and there are so many brewing options. You will always get what you order. Be aware, however, the only food menu items are cakes and croissants... and the wifi is very weak! Additionally, it might be the only official drive through coffee place.

A hip, cool, place with a young professional vibe. Completely appropriate for quick meetings or grabbing a good cup of coffee to go. Can be a bit of a co-working space though, which may make one feel as though they are disturbing when having a conversation while everyone else is buried in their laptops.

This roastery /cafe has local Rwandan coffee beans powered by sustainable growers. They offer to brew your drink in many different forms to. There is a range of coffee beans available for purchase too. They offer a 2 hour tasting class for the coffee lovers. My only suggestion if they want to grow the cafe side is to expand on the food range available as they only had Croissants (that ran out at 10.30am) There is lots of great outdoor seating (unless it rains) Free WiFi available for customers too

I’ve been to Question Coffee a couple times and enjoyed it thoroughly each time. The first time I had an affogato and the second time, a spiced latte. Both were delicious and came in these unique servers. Not sure if it was the time of day that I visited, but the accompanying food selection was a bit limited. The Women’s Bakery pretzel that I had was quite enjoyable, but at the time I was hoping for a sandwich or pastry. No problem though! I will still return :) Looking forward to trying a tour or the coffee Masterclass sometime.

This is definitely the spot you have to go to if your looking for a place to relax or get a delicious cup of coffee. When purchasing your coffee look at the sign to see the method that you have to use to get the most out of your coffee. I went with the caramel latte iced and wow that was phenomenal. Even bought some coffee myself and the nice part is they grind it right there for you. Depending on your method of brewing.
