The best curiflowers soup I have had in this year. It’s about up market but absolutely worthy every penny you spend there. Very convenient for dinner dates for its quite and stand alone. Even the music selection was just perfect. Can’t say enough about Poivre Noir. It’s a quite and small place so you might need to make reservations before for you will find it full.

Hands down the best meal I've had in Kigali so far. Every dish was so beautifully executed and delicious. The Parmesan crumble mushroom with white truffle oil is superb! The enticing aroma of white truffle hits your nose the moment the dish is placed in front of you. Simply divine! The pulled rabbit ravioli was packed with flavour; the beef tenderloin was cooked so,so perfectly; same for the whisky flambéed pork. Pleasant ambiance too. I will definitely come here again. And again!

Good restaurant but their qr code is ennoying, just an excuse to avoid a real nice menu. Just do take away menu if you want to avoid any risk. Otherwise food and service was good.

Decadent and delicious! One of my favorite restaurants in Kigali. I have eaten here and ordered delivery a few times. The burger picture was at home. I even enjoyed their jerk chicken. Juicy and flavorful, and reminded me of home :)

I had an excellent experience dining here. The food was great, service was quick and the place was not too crowded. The bill though was a bit expensive, I think the owner should revisit menu prices to adapt to Covid-19 realities!

I cant say enough good things about this place. The service is excellent right from when you walk in, the servers make you feel right at home. The food is simply outstanding. I had the full English breakfast and I was thoroughly impressed and having lived in the UK for a while, this was even better than some of my food experiences there. Overall a wonderful restaurant with amazing owners and dedicated staff. My recommendation is to always book ahead as it is quite a popular spot in Kigali.

Great food, the steak was really good.Unfortunately the service was quite slow, we waited for almost an hour and a half to get our plates, it was a table of five.The restaurant is cosy, beautiful terrasse, one bad experience though in the evening, the bees were all around the bulb pendant light and most tables are under those light;we had to move to a table right under the ceiling to avoid them.

I'm in Kigali for a week and had dinner at Poivre Noir on Friday. It was excellent - service was thoughtful and attentive and the food was absolutely amazing and so well-presented too. Such a nice venue and nice ambience. Perhaps room for improvement on the wait times, although good food does take time to make :) Also if you're having a cold I highly recommend the ginger tea, it's very strong and concentrated but it immediately warmed me up!

Excellent service! Staff is multi-lingual and super attentive. The setting is intimate and cozy, open-air, beautiful views of course (this is Kigali :-) If you want to know what heaven tastes like, order the mushroom crumble with truffle oil! It's absolutely my favorite thing on the menu and I order it every single time. I tried the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Leg for lunch, came with fried plantains and a beautiful vegetable medley. Can't remember the name of my cocktail but it had tequila, triple sec and I think simple syrup - super yummy and I felt buzzed before the last sip ;-) Topped it all off with the uber rich, decadent, luxurious, melt in your mouth Belgian chocolate mousse that came with 2 different types of cookies/biscuits!!! WOO HOO!!! For me, restaurants are all about ambiance and this place serves it up exquisitely. Let me not forget about the music -- it's a perfectly random mix that has you moving in your seat and wondering why you and whomever made the playlist are not already friends.

The food here is great, however the staff are slow and orders take a long time to come through. I waited about 1 hour before my meal was served. I had mashed potatoes with salmon something something- I don’t remember the actual name of the dish but it was delicious; which kinda made up for the long wait. My gin & tonic came with some extra special flavour, which I enjoyed. Best to sit indoors if you want to have loud conversations or for a more intimate setting.
