Normally am vegetarian and this is my favorite place to have delicious food 😋

This is one of my favourite spots for Japanese food in Kigali. They serve the best Sushi and Sashimi in this locality. Other interesting dishes include Udon, Donburi, Gyoza and Korean Fried chicken. All the orders come with a complimentary salad and miso soup. Sakae is the only place now providing Teppanyaki in the country, although the skills of the cook is no longer as it used to be and the price has gone up.They no longer do the juggling acts with Eggs which were very entertaining. However, I still love their bento lunch and dinner boxes 😋. They also serve Korean and Chinese food (PAN CHINA Menu). I wish they also served Ramen (Decent Ramen is available at Japanda Restaurant). I've lived well over a year in Kigali, and I have driven past this restaurant literally three hundred times while driving my son to his school on Kibagabaga, but I've never gone there. Until now. The reason is probably that the restaurant is located on that far side of Nyarutarama hill, a side of town I wouldn't usually go for dinner or lunches. But, I urge to to come here, even if the location is perhaps a bit off from your regular area. Food is good! Really really good! We have previously lived in Asia, and this is a true taste of real Asia!! Top quality food!! I had a Kimchi like I've never had outside of Asia! Very much looking forward to trying the bibimbap next time!!

Mostly empty when you get there. The service is pretty good. I maybe just chose a bad dish that I wanted to taste but it was so bad that my date and myself couldn't even finish the food on our plates. Overall chill and discrete environnement though.

Japanese and Korean restaurant. The taste is not genuine but OK given that you are in Rwanda. A spacious and clean atmosphere is good, and the staff are reasonable.

Had a great lunch today. When we arrived it was raining, the waiters came out with umbrellas to make sure we didn't get wet. We had a warm welcome. Sushi was excellent, along with the Japanese tea. Service excellent as well. Will definitely return.

Cute place. Rolls were really good, the gyoza could have been better.

Nice place with high ceiling, nice views and an outdoor area. The kimchi was good, the miso soup was not to my taste. The beef bibimbap was average. The meat, although cut in small pieces, had some small bones which was unpleasant. Service was somehow slow but staff is nice. To my opinion, it’s too expensive for what it is but I still had a good experience.

The Kigali Fried Chicken is so delicious I ordered it as a takeaway a week later

I really wanted to like this place considering it’s one of the only Japanese restaurant in Rwanda. The fish in the Sushi and nigiri is not fresh and made me feel slightly sick, it also has way too much rice. The miso soup is also not good. The teriyaki chicken skewers and fried chicken lack flavor. The one thing that was really good was the chicken fried rice so definitely recommend that. Service was great and really liked the ambiance.

Nice place to hangout with friends and family

Amazing food! Lovely location - especially the windows in the summer. Lovely service, the waiters even helped call a taxi for us. Only let down is the deco - would have been nicer ro have a more Japanese look to it. Even the music played, we would love to here Japanese and Korean (its a mixed restauran) music being played when we're there.

The only place you can find raw fish dishies in Kigali

Good food, great ambience, except they need to remove the Spider web on their lamps. I was warried something might drop on my food. I commented on my last visit, but when I went after two or three weeks, all spiders and their web were in attendance as well. Management should take note.

Had heard good things but was a bit sceptical about fresh salmon and tuna in a land locked country...boy was I wrong ...the salmon's impeccable ! Hard to take pics in.the dark outdoor lighting Loved.the avocado salmon salad Not thrilled with the rolls...sushi rice was eh but fish was great Prices are high for Kigali but ok.for sushi and other asian specialties Also had the half bucket of KFC Kigali fried chicken spicy ...not as good as BWOK bit tasty chicken and crust. The spicy part was a lame rendition of chili jam.

Nice venue. The service is top notch. Good food. You will enjoy your meal here .

Its so yum! I had placed an order for delivery and the kigali fried chicken were still warm when I received. I ordered 1/2 of each, still the portion is so generous! Its better than any fast food chain, esp the sweet spicy fried chicken.

Roll dishes, jokbal, and chicken were all so delicious. This restaurant has a good atmosphere both day and night. The salad served as an appetizer is very lovely. Cabbage kimchi is the best!

They give you plastic forks for sushi and the close time is not as advertised. I don’t recommend it , let’s hope its taste is worth the price. 🤯
