A quiet spot tucked away in the center of Kigali which is a great place to grab coffee, a light lunch or dessert. The burgers and sandwiches are tasty and affordably priced. Sitting at a table outside is highly recommended to soak up some sun and enjoy the panoramic view of the city.

This was my favorite place to work while I was visiting Kigali! The pastries were amazing! But get there early or they will be sold out of all the best ones! It’s a great place to go work alone or meet friends for lunch. I felt like a long-time regular after just a few days. The view is stunning and you can even sit outside during the rain because the patio has a nice cover

Nice place to sot relax and work. They do not have much options to eat. You can get coffee and eclairs there. Place located in a peaceful location. I saw lots of people working on there laptops. Coffee was nice. Most of there coffees were under 2200 RWF and eclairs will also cost you around 1800 RWF. If you want to work in peace then this place is perfect.

Best breakfast in Kigali - real Belgium bakery with home made jam and properly made latte using Question coffee . Bruno and April do a great job of pleasing the eye, the pallet and the purse.@basopatisary

Nice quiet location (apart from on my visit today, a construction crew were demolishing an adjacent building and making a helluva noise! Hopefully they will be finished soon.), with shaded outdoor seating available for customers. A nice selection of pastries and also food items like sandwiches, omlettes etc are available. Friendly service. A great place for an afternoon tea and they have my favourite, Earl Grey. I recommend the chocolate tart or the strawberry tart - truly delicious!

Does a small section of patisserie and hot food extremely well. Lovely spot with wifi and a good view. My favorite cafe in Kigali.

Very pleased with the exceptional service, the flavorful veggie burger and crispy fries delivered to my table in under 20 minutes! Beautiful views of KGL, while while enjoying cappuccino with non-dairy milk and a MOIST brownie!! Outstanding experience!!

It was a pleasant time. I had an Omelette (garnie) and Cream puff, even though I really wanted a strawberry tart 😪. Everything was good 👍🏾.

Was really my first time to be here after I was recommended by my colleague. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the most secured in kiyovu, the food was so delicious, the coffee was superb. We had burger 🍔 for for three of us, but we two opt for vegetable burgers and it was so tasty, was my first time to have a vegetable burger 🍔, I didn't know they could do or making that. Thank you, I will always recommend Baso!!!!

We traveled from Tanzania and we stopped here before begining our road trip and wow were we impressed! The staff were great and the few desserts that we did get to try were top notch! Our only disappointment was not getting there early enough to see more of what they sell. Pro tip: get there as early as you can, you won't be disappointed!

The bread and the pain au chocolat are superb. The staff is friendly, and the place calm. When it is not crowded, I feel in my garden at home.

Coffee shop with amazing view! They have nice cakes and almost decent coffee (bit too much milk in the latte, but otherwise ok). Very chill place to hang out! Unfortunately v e r y slow, although friendly, service. Took us like forever to get two latte, and this was at a time when there very quite few customers.

Called 25 minutes ahead for a sandwich pickup, which according to the online menu is served with fries, only to arrive and be told the fries would take an extra 20 minutes. Disappointing service.

Super tasty latte and fresh pain au chocolat. On the pricey end, but worth it as an occasional splurge

Best bakery in Kigali. The strawberry tart is a must try. Bit slow service. Always busy! But still worth going there for the quality!

Loved their coffee! Omelette was good too - had the ham and cheese omelette. Was disappointed when the lady at the counter said they dont make eclairs anymore because I was planning to try them. :( I got cream puffs to bring home instead, hopefully they are gooooood. Aaand owner actually said they should be the same thing.;)

Simple hearty sandwiches and a great view. The panini is certainly the star out of the dishes we tried. Ask for the Croque Monsieur if you want a slightly larger portion. The accompanying chips were fresh and good, not greasy and fried. Sizeable portions at a decent price! Coffee is decent, though it could be slightly stronger for the milk based ones. Small shady play area for kids, and a picnic area outside provides a great view overlooking the city. Seating places are limited, so it might be difficult for larger groups. The towering trees and quaint colonial architecture, gives it a very calm and serene atmosphere.

Baso is a gem of an establishment. They have beautiful, delicious French pastries, local Question Coffee, excellent sandwiches and lunch, and the friendliest staff. It is possibly our favorite place in all of Kigali!

Literally the best croissant I ever ate. Better than petite province in the states. Just delightful. I will be back and they don’t gouge on price, like the hotels. Food is expensive in Kigali, not here.
