Japanese ramen place. I wasn't that hungry so decided to just try their tofu dishes since it's homemade. Pretty decent tofu but not the smooth type. More like firm. Ginger onions on top was nice. If you order the tofu, mix the ginger onion into the sauce first before dipping the tofu unless you like the strong ginger onion hit for taste (which I liked). The simmered pork was good, enough fatty pork. However, the homemade soy ice cream had too much nuts and not creamy enough.

Update 2022 May: They don't serve the burger anymore but food is still good. They have moved to a new location. The new location is not as good as the old one but I would still recommend Japanda. The best teriyaki chicken burger in town. Perfect balance and perfect price. Most dishes are authentic and very well prepared with care and great ingredients. I wish the more posh Japanese restaurant take note from the guys. Keep up the good work.

Location is a little confusing on google maps. Looks like they moved to another location in the same neighborhood. The service is okay but they really take their time with the orders. The food tastes good when it finally arrives and the pricing is reasonable. There’s an infestation of bugs that come out at night buzzing around on the lights. Don’t sit directly under the lights. The bugs will ruin your night.

A hidden but nice place with fairly priced menu!

Very neat, clean and child friendly! They have baby seats and the food is great! A Japanese haven with a comfy garden! The waiters are polite and attentive!🤗

Unprofessional. I made an order to go. I sat and wait and finally they bring it out saying they don’t pack. Okay. But they had switched my order without asking me since they were out of it. No apology. Nothing.

Authentic Japanese dishes can be enjoyed here. Good list of don (rice bowl), fantastic tofu (soybean curd), awesome sesame dressing on salad, and shiso (Japanese basil) mixed with fresh tomato. In addition, it's not expensive!

It takes a lot of time after ordering food. The taste of the food is about 82 points. The business location has been moved, I haven't been there yet. Don't know if the service has improved

excellent service and the tomato salad was delicious but the ramen is on the salty side and served with spaghetti pasta... I was also unable to pay on card due to poor connection

When it comes to the question of taste, quality, consistency and affordability, I will place Japanda as my No.1 Restaurant to go to in Kigali. I love their Donburi dishes especially the Teriyaki BBQ chicken Donburi. The chicken is always so tender and juicy with a light smoky falvour. Their light flavoured miso soup with shredded tofu and black sesame fills my soul every time I take a sip ! Their Ramen and Yakitori are equally good.
