Great location for dinners and cocktails. Food is really good and the garden atmosphere relaxing. Been here plenty of times and always back. They also have karaoke sometimes and movie nights.

They have a good atmosphere and fun things going on during the week. I've been to the movie night twice but the movies stopped playing part way through. The first time I went, I didn't get the discount that I was supposed to get, the second time I asked and the servers didn't seem to know what I was talking about but they asked and the special wasn't al that special, but still ok. The margaritas are the best I've tried in Kigali. Sangria is also good. The food is decent and worth a try. Overall fairly pleased. Hopefully the movie plays in its entirety the next time I try, it's a fun Tuesday night!

Real pizza. Made by an American in proper brick oven. Best pizza in Kigali by far. Lovely new place, clean and inviting. Movie night on Tuesday. Coming soon gluten free pizza. Great other Italian dishes like pesto pasta. Great family place.

First time at Lavana- I had tacos and an appetizer with plantains and guacamole. They were really good! Cocktails were mixed. Joined for the movie night. Not sure if it was because of the movie choice that night, or hesitation about quarantines, but the place was almost empty! Folks are missing out. This was fun :) You also get really delicious and free popcorn!

Nicest place in Kigali. Best pizzas hands down, really good food and a nice service. Not Too pricey. And nice vibes all around.

The place was really good, nice venue, quiet place and large space for some occasions. We had an event here but sound system was not good, and staff was not friendly and skilled enough. Food was delicious and I hope to go there to enjoy the football match because of a large projection and good quality images they have.

Never NOT a problem... 1) The first time I ordered from them, it took two and a half hours to receive our order. 2) The second time, a friend convinced me it would be a better if we went in person. Had a great time and great cocktails, but when I ordered some tacos to go so I could bring some home to my family, it took over an hour for our to-go bag, and then the bag was light and they charged me less than I expected... I asked what was wrong, and they said they were out of beef and fish, so they only gave me the three carnitas I ordered. I had to explain that my wife and three kids couldn't share three tacos and call it a night and that they should have come and told me they couldn't fulfill my order, and to make more carnitas if that was all they had. We sat there for another hour waiting for the other six tacos while the first three got cold. 3) Today I ordered three taco combo plates (9 tacos each) from through the Vuba Vuba app. The rider arrived an hour later with 9 tacos. The woman at the restaurant argued about the difference in price between a two taco plate and three taco plate for roughly ten minutes before the rider sent her screen captures of the menu and my order and she finally admitted that it didn't make any sense I had spent 75,000rwf for 9 tacos. We placed an order at 2:21pm and finally received all the food at 5pm after my kids and guests had to share the first partial order at 3:30. Just absurd. Top that off with the drinks being different every time you order when you're there, and it's just sad. Food is great, service and attention to detail are a joke. Probably deserves one star, but I'm being charitable because the Baja Fish tacos were delicious when I finally got to have them two hours and forty minutes after I ordered. Pathetic.

The margaritas are the best I’ve had in Kigali and this is the only place I’ve found with decent Mexican-style food but the service is subpar at best, it’s SO SLOW. I have ordered pasta and found out an hour into my visit that they don’t have the sauce - except they never came to tell me. It was only upon inquiring about the status of my order that they informed me about the sauce. The food is good and the wait times are tolerable if you’re out without kids - if you bring kids plan to have things for them to do and play with while you wait.

So this place is amazing, as a Venezuelan I can say I really appreciate some Latino (Mexican) food here. So the 4star review comes to a Friday night (December 29th), they have live music and the singer was terrible. I’m sorry I wanted to love him because he was so artistic but his was just screaming… Definitely visit this place cocktails are amazing!

A very beautiful restaurant with an outstanding layout, excellent vibes, outstanding service, delicious food and good drinks.

The food has good flavor and I dined on Taco Tuesday night with free movies BUT THEY ARE GLACIALLY SLOW. Y'all no taco takes 1 hour. No tamale takes 1+ hour. Chips and guacamole shouldn't take 15min but they fry the chips to order. Guac had the least amount of flavor than everything that night. Popcorn was burnt. For a movie night... Some staff persons were enjoying themselves a great laugh. Good thing, I didn't care for the movie and it had closed caption going. Cute setup. I wanted to return for Wednesday pizza deal but we had to go. I thought margaritas were on special during Tuesday but it's Thursday. I can recommend but be warned with their speed. It's cooked to order and even still too slow. Don't come hungry.

A good menu with tasty food and drinks available. A nice atmosphere for hanging out with friends. The service was friendly and helpful, but the food and drinks took quite awhile to appear.

I love the food here. One of if not the best pizza in Kigali. The tacos and other Mexican style dishes are very good also. Nice atmosphere. Service is not very fast and if you place a big order it seems that one item is usually incorrect. Atmosphere is great, so plan to be there 1 to 2 hours and you should be fine.

Stopped here for after dinner drinks.... The service was great and the drink selection was outstanding. Recommended. Great music in the background as well.

The experience and vibe at Lavana is incredible, and even better is their food! The Lavana’s Hawaiian Pizza is, without overstating it, the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. I’m not from Rwanda and have visited for work twice this year - Lavana and their pizza is always first on the list!

Definitely a go to place. The food was delicious and authentic. The ambiance was relaxing, comfortable and inviting. Service was superb, friendly and accomplished . Great for families. Love the interactive s’mores dessert. I highly recommend this place !

Lavana is just a vibe in itself. I cannot stop showing my excitement while typing this. A bit difficult in the first try to find this gem but when you are familiar with it, you'll love visiting it everytime. From the gate to the table you'll see smiles and positive vibes greeting you for your meal day. Movie Night, Club Nights, Pizza Days what not! They have it all. You must visit this one if you are around Kigali and love to see people from all around the world enjoying their time. Vegetarians, don't forget to try their Veg Pizza. It is delicious 😋

Lavana has my favorite meal in town, the meatball panuozzo, as well as great cocktails, pasta, and tacos. They have awesome entertainment almost every week as well. It’s a great spot for either a nice dinner or a fun night out. And Clarisse the manager is great!

Beautiful location: always a warm welcome from the nice security person, then you find a huge garden, all sorts of different tables and atmospheres, beautiful lighting, sometimes great events. The staff is amazingly friendly and quick and tries to fulfill all your wishes. The food is amazing. Some pizzas are not my thing, but everything I’ve tried so far was delicious. Try the salads and the fish soup and fish filet. We can only recommend the place, we go back all the time!

Great food and tasty. But be aware… the Pizza menu is tricky… Some are great and some are really not recommendable. ALL other dishes though are excellent!!! Service is also excellent!!! And the Ambiente.. we don’t need to talk about! Awesome 👏🏽 Highly recommend!!!

What a beautiful restaurant! I did not see all of it since I was there for a film showing, but what I saw was stunning. I ordered a sangria and tamales. Both were on point. My only suggestion: install a hand rail to assist seniors like me on the stairs.

Very nice restaurant in Kimihurura. Different seating options under roof or open. Nice view over the hills to the west. Food and service very good. Their pizza is to die for! Absolute top quality!! We also tried their tamales, their soft shell tacos and their quesadilla. All very very nice!! This will probably be "our" neighborhood go-to restaurant!!

The food is delicious and I enjoyed the cocktail I chose. They need to train their wait staff on the menu and ingredients used as that knowledge was lacking when we asked the waitress serving us. I would also recommend they find staff who can speak English well as it is a place frequented by mostly foreigners. Luckily my dining companion spoke Kinyarwanda and could translate what I was asking.

Cool vibes and great social atmosphere! Indoor/outdoor venue with lots of books for private meet ups. Taco Tuesdays come with a movie night and Karaoke happens once a month. The food is average, the drinks are generous and the spice tea is incredible!

I went there on a karaoke night with a friend... the vibe overall is good, but the food was a no for me. most items on the menu were not available and the food we ordered itself was not good and we did not really enjoy the service... waiters took their time to cater to us.

Authentic Mexico in the heart of Africa ….. Barbacoa Beef Nachos is to die for …. The cocktails here is amazing experience everyone needs to have . Lavana had the most delicious food Tacos , Pizzas , Tamales , Nachos , anything they make here is delicious and they take their time in creating the menu HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
