We’ve just returned from a fabulous 13 days tour through Rwanda with Hermosa Life Tours and Travel. First of all: Don’t be put off by Covid. The situation in Rwanda is very much under control and the protocols in place ensure that we felt safe throughout the trip. Testing is organised efficiently and all measures are enforced thoroughly, yet in a sensible way. Oreste took great care of our itinerary when planning and was always extremely responsive, so we already knew before the trip that we would be in good hands. Thanks to a very generous cancellation policy, also due to Covid, we were able to remain flexible, which was also needed – we had to postpone our trip two times. But finally we made it and I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed this trip. Rwanda is a one of a kind place. It might have a troubled past that everyone (superficially) knows, but once you set foot in this country you are amazed on so many levels how great it is. The capital Kigali is a super organized place, clean, safe, lush and beautifully located in the hilly Rwandan landscape. Most of Rwanda’s tourists do of course come for the mountain gorillas – and they were indeed a once in a lifetime experience – but I can only recommend you to delve a bit deeper into this eastern African gem of a country. Volcanoes National Park was an absolute stunner with thick mountain jungle and amazing primates (don’t skip the Golden Monkeys!) that made a great start for our trip. Lake Kivu was a beautiful change of scenery afterwards, with diverse local experiences that Oreste put on our itinerary and we absolutely loved. Night fishing, a cycling trip along the Congo-Nile-Trail and a visit to a special hot spring makes us remember Lake Kivu very dearly. Travelling on to Nyungwe Forest allowed us to experience beautiful primate rainforest with some more exciting primates: Apart from seeing chimps we also went looking for the largest Colobus monkey group that is living in Africa, encompassing around 500 animals. Boy, that was a great trekking experience. If you like the outdoors and adventure, Nyungwe is a simply a great place. And for some African savannah feeling, Akagera NP was a perfect last stop to unwind a little bit, with elephants, hippos, lions, giraffes and so much more passing by our landcruiser windows on the several game drives we did. So what more can I say, apart from go and pack your bags to enjoy Rwanda? Do it with Hermosa Life Tour and Travel! We are quite seasoned travelers, but hardly we had such a great company taking care of us. Organisation by Oreste was flawless, he caters to all your needs and there was not one issue along the way. A big shout out in this regard also to our amazing driver Claude, who knows Rwanda like the back of his hand, was extremely knowledgeable and always had things under control. We enjoyed every single activity of this trip and however your favorite itinerary of Rwanda might look like, let Hermosa take care of it and be rewarded with surely unforgettable experiences.

We booked a 5 day tour with Hermosa around new year. It was a super pleasant experience. Oreste was super quick to reply to any question we had regarding organisation. Abou our driver guide was super nice and professional. He also gave a proper insight to Rwanda culture as well. The car was well maintained (AC and 4wd operational). We would gladly recommend Hermosa as a tour operator in Rwanda

I visited Nyungwe Forest with these guys. There was too much noise in the bus (high volume radio, people shouting, and dancing in the bus). I told the in charge guy, that I was not comfortable with that amount of noise, but he could not have people bring down their shouting. He said they would consider it next time! Honestly, I would not want to go on tours with them

The 2 day trip to Akagera was absolutely amazing! I saw so many birds on the boat cruise, and everything from a leopard to a rhino and antelopes on the safari drive. Patrick R was so kind, friendly, professional and knowledgeable, it was such a pleasure travelling with him 😊 I would absolutely recommend travelling with Hermosa, they are fabulous!

We just completed a five day tour, visiting the safari park, gorilla trekking in Unganda and Golden Monkey trekking back in Rwanda. Great communication with Yvonne prior to the tour, fast replies and set up a tour exactly to our wishes. Our highlight of the tour was however our guide and driver, Gordon. You can't find a more perfect person for this. We can never do a tour again without him. Highly recommend both Hermosa and Gordon, you are in safe hands.

Most incredible bucket-list trip thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Damascene! We spent 4 days in Rwanda including 1 night in Kigali and 2 nights at a lodge near Volcanoes National Park where we did the Gorilla and Golden Monkey treks. Booking with Hermosa was easy and they were very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. The payment process was easy and reliable. Another shout out for Damascene who went out of his way to ensure we had the best time! He is so knowledgable about Rwanda and its history so we really enjoyed asking him questions (and chatting about the football!). He also ensured we felt comfortable and safe throughout the trip and went out of his way to show us a bit more of Kigali as we had a very late flight to catch home and had time to spare.
