Had a lovely stay at Hotel Hellenic! The room was very spacious and I went for the one on the terrace. There was a veranda to chill and have coffee/drink in the evening. All rooms have mosquito nets and were cleaned everyday. The special thing was that the hotel has a pool which can be used by the guests even during lockdown/curfew. The breakfast was the same everyday (eggs and fruits with tea/coffee) but the manager agreed to make a small salad for me in the morning. The place is owned by a Greek lady - Mary - who is full of energy and takes care of your comfort on request. A nice place to stay with family and friends!

The Greek Taverna - Hotel in Kigali is a unique place. The food is delicious. The location is in the beautiful area of Kimihurura, just two kilometres away from the centre of Kigali. Horrible customer service They don't understand the concept of 'take away'. We ordered 3 simple dishes from them to take away to save time cooking. Bad choice as it took us way more time than if we had cooked them ourselves. We had to go to their place 4 times. Once to get a budget (impossible to send it via whatsapp), once to leave our own dishes for them to place the food (this is not a joke), once to pick up the food (which finally came in plastic boxes), and once to return their plastic boxes. The food is average, the price expensive but the worst is its management. Old-school bad run restaurant. Don't be surprised to see it always empty....

Good hotel, nice view of Kiyovu I had quite a big room, comfy with a nice view. There's a small pool which was closed for maintenance during most of our stay. Breakfast is the usual suspects for Rwanda (including the Spanish omelette) as well as some greek yohgurt propositions. Food was correct, not far from your regular Greek experience. Service was good and fast.

This is our go to hotel when we stay in Kigali . The owner is so nice and welcoming . The food is awesome . Get the tilapia Mykonos or Santorini version . They are awesome . The meat samosas are yummm . The tzatziki sauce tasted better than what I ate in Greece . The rooms are cleaned daily , the staff is also so nice . There is no Ac but there are fans and I was still comfortable. Kigali is super cool at night . Also my fave location in Kigali .

A very pleasant restaurant. Delicious food, good prices, great view, friendly staff. We met the owner, a very nice woman. Everything we ate here was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

This has been my favorite restaurant in Kigali for 13 years. It’s old school fancy, but not pretentious and always on point. The service is fantastic, ambience galore, great food, reasonably priced and wonderful views. It’s not as popular as newer places, but it’s a solid bet anytime. Once again, probably my favorite spot in town 13 years running. They have rooms too.

Found out about Greek Taverna Hotel through a travel planner (Kelly) based in Rwanda. Been to Rwanda several times, but never knew about Greek Taverna until now - and it's a very amazing place! Everything you're looking for within accommodations - you will find here. The staff is lovely too - very caring and always ready to assist you. The internet is wonderful as well, for anyone tech savvy (was quite surprise how strong it was - from my tech background). Rate and prices within their restaurant are great all around! Highly recommend and will be my "Go-To" hotel whenever in Rwanda.

What a change of management can do! Hellenique is in on of Kigali's coolest converted houses (palace? chateau?) and visiting it is an experience in itself. On top of that, the service is among the best in Kigali with staff that really puts their heart in the work and extremely attentive management, while the food itself is delicious and extremely fairly prices. Get some Ouzo!

Fabulous mezze of salads ...would come back anytime

It's a hotel with like traditional western style probably italian or spanish - looking at the decorations , menus and the furniture. It has rooms , a small swimming pool and a nice veranda where you have the kigali view. It is located in Kimihurura , from the cadilac roundabout on the stone road up to Ogopogo restaurant you take thet right first road.

Lovely family spot. Pool could be cleaner but the place has a garden and terrace that are great both for socialising and solo stays. Delicious food. Facilities could improve as bathroom was not cleanest and shower did not work. Despite the potential for improvemenr, overall we had a great time.

Great service, friendly and helpfull staff. Went there for lunch and had chicken Cajun salad and fishfingers with fries, which were both good. You also get a small appetizer before which was tasty. Nice Greek themed restaurant and terrasse with view over the city.

Such a lovely place. I stayed for 1 week, and I really enjoyed. The food at the resturant is amazing. Rooms are very comfort, there are hot water and good water presure. But the most important, the crew and Mary the owner of the place are super kind. They took care of everthing I needed and they made sure that I will smile from the moment I got there until I left.
