This place is not too make you happy. It's even depressing before you enter. But it gives a shocking but also heartwarming impression of the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. This is something never to forget. 800,000 people were butchered in just 100 days. The exposition is so detailed that it's worth to visit and study numerous times.

This is one of the genocide museums in Rwanda and I recommend every African in fact every human should visit here and take your time to read about what happened here in Rwanda I am very sure most of us will have a different mindset about life. This place gives you a detailed account of what caused the genocide, how it was carried out, all the people that took part in the genocide and how they all played their part. This is a historic place but I heard there are more places like this in Rwanda. There is a paper map guide and also radio guide for the museum, the radio guide would explain all the marked points to you and what they represent in the museum. You pay a token ($21) for the radio guide and also donate a token towards a rehabilitation of some sort.

When you travel to Rwanda, you must visit this place. It is very sad, but it is the history of the country and helps to understand what the Rwandans went through. Start off the visit at the reception where you can chose if you would like to use the translated headset for 25$ or read which I did. The information is in 3 languages which includes French and English. You then watch a short video and make your way through to the main building where you are not allowed to take pictures. They show you before, during and after the genocide. There is an upstairs with a children's section which is more then sad. A cafe on the grounds and the cemetery.
