New and interesting restaurant in Kigali that is still perfecting their execution. During our visit I don’t think the kitchen followed the recipes and there were no milkshakes or coffee so our table was disappointed. This restaurant has a lot of potential. I think it could quickly become a unique and tasty spot. I look forward to changing this review to a 5 star.

The place looks amazing! Loved the art and the whole design. Service was good but could use a tiny bit of speed(emphasis on “tiny” 😊). I was a bit disappointed as some of the items on the menu were not available. Overall, it’s a beautiful, calm and soothing place with good internet and an excellent menu. It is ideal for hangouts, work, meetings, and many other things. Plus, the location is easily accessible.

We had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful establishment today. From the very beginning we were welcomed with friendly smiles. The art work and murals are so inviting when first entering into the restaurant. Each one tells a unique story that pays homage to the African experience within the diaspora -both continental and western. The décor chosen adds to the overall ambiance of soulful vibes and peace. The food gave me a sense of familiarity (I was raised in the southern part of the USA) while introducing me to new flavors (the sauce on my sister’s wings was amazing). The juices are fresh and served cold. A must try is the Morning Sunrise. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot. Whether you are wanting to relax in an inviting space to get work done or get a feel for Rwanda mixed with a little southern charm, this is the place to visit.

This is an excellent restaurant, from the decorative furnishings and cultural artwork surroundings the building, to the nice and accommodating owners and staff, and then there’s the food!! OMG! I had the veggie delight. It is a mixture of vegetables, seasoned to perfection and made into a ball. I had mine service over rice. Comes with a sauce but I liked mine dry and crunchy on the outside and moist and full of flavor on the inside. Absolutely delicious!! For dessert I had an apple fritter like donut, perfection. I’ve already made reservations to return with friends!

Atmosphere was amazing! Food was fantastic! We've heard nothing but great things and we were VERY disappointed today! I can't say there will be a next time for us, but others should try their luck, the food was worth it!

What a lovely café or should I say.... kafe ! Friendly and welcoming staff, the burger I ordered was simply delicious and was served faster than i had thought! Plus, if you're familiar with NP Arts Center, you'll definitely recognise many of the paintings displayed on the walls ! Can't wait to go back there !! However, if you like it spicy, let them know as you order. Maybe it's just me but I would have loved the food to be more spicy !

They are doing things right at Ikawa Kafe!! First off, we received superb service from Ronnie. He was very friendly and prompt. I had the philly chicken sandwich with flips. The sandwich was flavorful. I chased it down with a pineapple ginger lemonade, which was magically delicious. We also was greeted by the manager Julien and he thanked us for coming. I also love all of the art pieces that surround the property. We will most def return.

We just looked for a place to eat after the caplaci village Center and were so astonished with the beautiful interior of the restaurant! Even though we waited a bit for our food, it was super delicious and we enjoyed it very much. Beside, the staff was super kind and easy to talk to so the 5 stares are well deserved!

Fun setting. They are really putting a lot of effort into decorating and creating a vibrant atmosphere. It feels like a place you want to be. The carrot cake was great. The coffee was good as well. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwich was really good - but it was not spicy. Not sure if they forgot or if it's just mild. Again, it was great. My wife ordered the Philly sandwich, it had all the essentials, but it also had mayo. I know it's my view, but mayo is the best way to ruin a good thing. I look forward to going back and trying some of the other exciting things on the menu.

The food was fantastic and the staff are very friendly. My son had the fried Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles and he kept raving about how delicious it tasted. I had the Frled Avocado encrusted in coconut and light breadcrumb, it was moist inside and crispy on the outside, scrummy texture. We really enjoyed the food!
