It’s a little undiscovered gem in an unexpected location. It wasn’t overcrowded. The ramen beat my expectations for sure. The pork was a little too much but the broth was so tasteful and the spice to my liking. The service was quick and the prices reasonable. A good place for groups of 4 or five to have lunch and or dinner based on the seating arrangement. Kids would be bored to death tho. Overall 5stars.

Extremely authentic and healthy Taiwanese / Japanese food in Rwanda - the best I have ever had outside of Taiwan :) 🍜牛肉麵Beef noodle - Classic Taiwanese cuisine with amazing “Al dente” taste. Really authentic Taiwanese food. Full of flavors. Food is well cooked and presented. All is made with heart and soul. Best Asian food we have had outside Asia in many many months. We even bought food to go for weeks to follow afterwards. Thank you for the wonderfull food.

Excellent food and service! Many friends who try this place end up returning several times within a week 😂 So far, my favorite dishes have been the beef dumplings, anything with the homemade noodles, salt and pepper spare ribs, and the eggplant... I’m sure this list will only grow as I return and try new dishes. There’s a far more expansive menu than the pictures that I’ve provided.

Theresa and her team work.hard to ensure you have delicious food and great service an anticipated taste of a weekly special + Pork Soup dumplings does.not disappoint In fact we have also tried the delicately wrapped #scratchmade veggie dumplings As well as the pan fried pork ones. Soups are done well here too including a very hearty version of hot and sour and a terrific well seasoned 5 spice tender beef soup. We've also enjoyed Mapo Eggplant and minced beef ...really every dish so far has been a winner and did you realize that the young Twainese mom is also a daring #girlboss who opened her first restaurant ever in the midst of a pandemic and in a foreign country...having lived here only a short time before taking the leap. kudos to Theresa and Sizzling Plate staff. PS do your face a favor and buy some.of Ts sensitive hamdmade skin soap your skin will thank you.

If you want to taste a Taiwanese authentic cuisine Sizzling plates restaurant is the best option for you.the food is delicious and healthy.And the owner is so humble and generous you won't regret it.. 🤗❤️

Really authentic, fresh Taiwanese dishes prepared in an open airy space. Soup dumplings and beef noodle soup were standouts. Highly recommended!

This might be my favorite place in the whole city. The owner, Theresa, created all of the dishes herself and puts so much care into the flavors. Her pan fried dumplings are the BEST in KGL hands down and I basically love everything else on the menu too. You have to give this place a try.

This place is cool for anyone who likes fastfood and very nice services.

I was excited to try this place but the food was very very underwhelming. The best dish was the packaged frozen fried dumplings, ordered tempura expecting shrimp, as shown in the image, to receive only vegetables, for the same price as a full course.

Nice inviting staff. Food I have eaten here is good. I recommend the bao. If with a group of more than 3 be prepared for a 2 hour meal. Parking is really tight and you must back onto a main road.

New review: Still a favorite. By now, I think I've tried most of the menu. Lately fallen in love with the marinated 'salad' of woodear mushrooms! Had them today with the Ginger Scallion Beef. Great combo. Oh, and I had to go home with a bunch of frozen dumplings. My kitchen is almost never without them... _________ Old review: One of my favorite lunch options in Kibagabaga, since they opened close to our office. I try something different every time, and so far it's all fantastic. Soups, noodles, dumplings... excellent. My only concern: some dishes involve long prep time, but it's not marked on the menu. This time, four of us ate while one watched and finally (after more than one hour) had to leave without his meal.

Like others stated, great small restaurant with excellent food. Parking is a bit of an issue though, and the inside of the restaurant is not very inspiring. But the momos in particular are very good.

Really good hot pot with meat and veggies. Dumplings are very good too. Service is very nice and quick.
