It is nice, open restaurant which good food in pocket friendly budget. They have a buffet during the weekdays which is ideal. I ordered Twatundi Chicken, Cassava Ugali with Red Sauce. Too much for one person! The staff was nice and sweet and gave suggestions as I was ordering.

Love the menu (local/congolese). Nice place to chill. Very accessible with enough parking. Personnel get busy at times due to the high number of people, but I highly recommend the place

Calm place to be in with outside restaurant feeling fresh air. if you are planning to have a cup of coffee or lunch i would recommend it. They also have a good free WIFI.

This cozy restaurant has left me great impressions. Atmosphere is chill and cool. Relaxing music while you enjoy their delicious meals. The staff is very knowledgeable and hospitable. Considering the quality, the price is very reasonable. Highly recommend this place!

A very nice but not affordable place for anyone.. Small local beer @2$ and sometine paying for entrance for a simple DJ guy... not recommended if you don't like expensive things while you can get better and cheaper nearby

Tania’s cuisine serves a variety of African dishes derived from different East African countries such as Congolese. The taste of the food is consistent every time I have eaten there. The place is neat and less crowded. The owner and the servers are very pleasant and professional. I enjoy their music too. Very commendable!

Good food ….not fancy or anything but 5 stars for the food (though the food took forever to come). I had chicken twatundi with garlic potatoes and fried banana. I liked that they gave me pepper sauce because I find East African food to not be peppery enough for me. Would go back again! The servers were nice.

Didn't eat here. Came for the live band. They were excellent. Definitely a place to recommend. Rwanda is so beautiful and a blessed place. Places like this just validate my statement.

Date: 27.09.23, Time: 19:30-21:00 I‘m not saying this easily but I can‘t recommend this place. Starting off with my arrival: I came to this place and didn‘t feel welcomed. Staff was sitting together and I had the feeling that they didn‘t want to work and waited for me to really get close so they are forced to show me my seat. The seat: This wasn‘t an easy one as some tables looked like the restaurant is closed (chairs leaning against the table) and almost every other table looked like there have already been people sitting on it beforehand (no deko, serviette-glas still on the table, dirty, …) - seemed like they didn‘t want to set up a table again after a guest. The waitress was ok-friendly but not too welcoming and didn‘t show up again within more than 45 min while I was waiting for my food order with an empty glass. When the food came, I was able to order another drink. The food itself was fine - garlic potatoes and beef brochette. Well seasoned and well cooked so thumps up for the kitchen except the speed. It was not the most wholesome food ever though. When I finished my meal the waitress was surprisingly quick, handing me the bill before I even finished my drink and without asking for more and impatiently waiting for me to put the money in the cup. As the service was not good, I didn‘t tip which was - at least to my observation - well noticed and was acknowledged with a quick grab of the cup and a loud sigh accompanied with a quick leaving without saying good bye. The ambient was okay as well - nice western music. Though, as mentioned, the tables were horribly covered and the place just felt … listless, maybe thats the right word. Sorry, but no recommendation from my side.

Tania’s is a favorite of mine and a popular spot in Kigali. The Congolese-Rwandan food is superb. A favorite dish is twatundi pork or fish. Thursdays hosts a live band - you should call ahead to reserve a table or you will miss out. Fridays and Saturdays are popular with excellent DJs keeping spirits high. There are frequently special events- whether traditional Rwandan music performances or special BBQ brunches. The setup of Tania’s includes both a front area and back courtyard. If you want a quieter meal on a weekend, you can book away from the action. Both areas are open air but covered in case of rain. This is a great place to reserve for special events as well. The staff are attentive. Tania’s also hosts Kigali’s best humidor if you’re a cigar aficionado looking to enjoy. Drivers and taxis are on hand to ensure you get home safe.

One of the best places to be in Kigali. The food.. ohh the food.. amazing!! Was also a great place to share my love of cigars which are also sold there. At Tania’s cuisine and Lounge .. you simply can’t go wrong. Highly recommend!!

Service was way TOO SLOW! We waited for over 2 hours to get a simple dish of chips and chicken or chips and beef… unnacceptable. The food was mediocre too even after all that waiting. Would not recommend. The only saving grace was the music - the DJ did a good job👌🏾

As a tourist in Kigali, I have no doubt to recommend it here. Food is delicious, price is reasonable, and the staffs are friendly to let us know the recommended dishes. The time takes a little bit long, but I still love it.

Would not recommend simply because of the poor service. Waited over 40 minutes for a simple drink order. Could not attempt ordering food so had to endure hunger as we enjoyed the live band. Service team seems to not see you somehow 😕 Unless it changes, would not be going back. Live band was fantastic!
