really great addition to the Kigali dining scene. authentic middle eastern cuisine made with love and lots of spices. we enjoyed the mixed grill which came with 3 different brochettes aka kebabs. each meat was seasoned and tender...perfectly marinated and cooked and included halal chicken, beef and lamb. the fatoush salad was one of the best we've ever tasted as the fresh plucked greens and tasty chopped tomatoes were uber fresh and the tangy pomegranate lemon vinaigrette a perfect contrast for the arugula (what a treat) another salad we enjoyed with fried eggplant with tahini and hot ghee poured tableside. the host, Somar, is equally charming and knowledgeable. Definitely a great experience and we are looking forward to coming back.

Lovely ambiance and delicious foods here, would recommend the eggplant fatteh and fattoush with fresh bread and tea to a backdrop of some fayrouz music. Kind owners and a great chef.

The best-grilled chicken in Kigali. The baklava was very, very good. I would advise you to place the order and book a table before going. The chef said that they prefer that too. Highly recommend this place. I could not take pictures as the food finished quicker than I could take pictures.

Today we had Iftar at Fayrouz restaurant and we are so very glad to have decided to eat there! We didnt order the set menu knowing we wont be able to consume everything, and ordered ahead of time items from the menu, everything was just great! The food was personally served by the humble and talented Chef, it was very tasty, everything was tasty, the appetisers, and the main courses were wonderful, the chicken and meat were so tender. Then we had tea on the house, and tried the home made and very tasty baklawa! The owners ans staff were so very friendly and the ambiance was so pleasant while sitting out in the garden. We strongly recommend this new and fresh family restaurant which serves authentic and well made Middle Eastern cuisine, we have already recommended it to our friends, and are definitely going back there hopefully on a regular basis. 👍 thank you everyone for the warm welcome and will be seeing you again soon.

One of the best spots in kigali, the appetizers are so authentic and the food came hot and not pre-heated. The atmosphere is incredible especially with the arabic tent.

It was delicious, Fayrouz is the reference for Arabic cuisine in Rwanda, where you can eat as if you were in the Middle East.

Came here with a couple friends and ended up staying for hours. We had a really great time lounging in the tent area and chatting with Somar. The food was incredible. Somar recommended the Mutapal, a smoked eggplant dip, even though we dislike eggplant normally. It was amazingly delicious and turned out to be one of our favorite dishes. He also recommended his Maklouba and it also did not disappoint. Will certainly make this a regular place when in Kigali. Can't recommended this restaurant enough!

I recently visited Fayrouz restaurant and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with my experience. I ordered the grilled chicken with rice and Kunafa as dessert, and I must say, it was a stellar combination. The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked - succulent and juicy, with just the right amount of flavourful spices. Complemented by the delicious rice, the dish was a wonderful blend of aromas and flavours that left me sated and satisfied. And the cherry on top? The delicious Kunafa. It was sweet, crispy, and had the perfect balance of cheese and sugar, making it an absolutely delectable dessert. The ambiance of the restaurant was homely and welcoming, and the service was impeccable. The staff was friendly and attentive to my needs, making the whole dining experience even more delightful. Overall, I have nothing but praise for Fayrouz restaurant. The food, the ambiance, and the service all came together to create a wonderful dining experience which I will not be forgetting anytime soon. I will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious dishes!

Just had a really lovely lunch there with my friend. Such a nice place. Friendly owner, friendly staff, scrummy food and best thing ever... baklava! We ordered it for dessert. There were three slices. My friend was too full, so I ate all of them. I regret nothing! We were there on a weekday, daytime, and it was very quiet. Perfect place for a long, lazy lunch and there was even complementary tea. Highly recommend.

Finally, an authentic Middle Eastern place serving a full breakfast! Great taste on all items, including freshly made bread. Certainly the best Humus and Moutabal you can get in Kigali, and great Manakeesh. Go there now!

Almost impossible to find the place, no signage or billboards, it is as if they don't want random customs to visit them and have their own circle of clientele. Google says they open at 11 but were closed until after 12:30 on a Tuesday. Extremely poor service, average food. Items cleverly priced not to look expensive. For example they serve Foul Medemes without a pita bread or a chapati and they charge you 2k for 2 pieces of pita bread separately. If you were content with the 4.5k for the Foul Medemes now it has become 6.5 altogether. Overall very disappointing experience for me and won't go again, don't recommend it too.

😐 I visited this place very late at night and my experience was not the best with the food but the waiters were very friendly☺️☺️☺️☺️.
