This place is Great!!! The staff is welcoming, kind, and incredibly helpful. Amazing experience, amazing staff!! I am not very good in tight spaces, so I choose Akumin for their wide-board MRI. The technician (Brian) who did the exam was incredibly helpful and understanding. I was in a lot of pain and he helped me lay as painlessly as possible. He had a calm and assuring tone, provided me with exactly how long each scan would take, allowed me to take short breaks, and constantly asked how I was doing. Overall experience was great and highly recommend.

The service was fine, as we work with MRI centers all the time in my profession. However, when we had my son go to have an MRI on his jaw for some dental and air breathing concerns, they submitted a bill to my insurance company for $9,480.00, which was immediately declined, as it should be. The usual fee for such a service is around $700.00. We paid them $600.00. My point is, I have no idea how they charge what, but actions such as this is why our insurance premiums are insanely high. I guess they gave it a try and threw it against the wall to my insurance company to see what they could get, in this case, over 9 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I have difficulty trusting such a company, and would never use them again because of this experience.

Today, I had my MRI scan and Brian walk me through the process and was so patient explaining everything about the machine and sounds. I consider myself a little bit anxious but here they helped me overcome any fear. Galina at the front desk was amazing and great sense of humor too. She was not wrong when she said they are the best. Keep the good work many blessings.

I was really surprised how quickly MRI was done only 15min for lumber spine. Main reason they have top quality MRI machine which is much quicker and so much more comfortable. Staff very friendly and they price match which is great! I got my results within 4 hours which is super fast. Higher recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and professional office staff when I called and in person they were the same. Also, the technicians who conducted my MRI were considerate, thoughtful and very efficient. I found the location to be convenient and the office to be welcoming, open and clean. I am grateful that they took me as a patient without insurance for a reasonable price. I have no reservations about recommending them for an MRI.

I just head my MRI of the neck and shoulder done. This is my second time here. I love this place and highly recommend it! Easy to schedule, you have option to self pay if your deductible is too high. My saving between my health insurance coverage (out of pocket) compared to this place is $600 for just one MRI. Mel at the front desk is fantastic! Very nice and professional. Brian the MRI tech is great as well. Empathetic, professional, and caring. If you need an MRI this is the place to go!

Went there for an MRI of my jaw, as that's a specialty not every place does. I'm slightly claustrophobic and MRIs make me nervous, but the team here was fantastic! Brian, the MRI Technician, was outgoing and friendly. He made me comfortable right away. He is highly knowledgeable, and I appreciate that he explained in detail exactly what would happen at each step of the test. It really put me at ease. I can't recall the name of the girl at the front desk, but she was incredibly kind and helpful as well. Wonderful experience! 10/10 recommend

Speaking with complete impartiality, and having MRI’s at different practices, I have to say Premier MRI of Schaumburg, is an exceptional facility! I’ve always had a degree of apprehension when undergoing an MRI, but the staff here could not have been more compassionate and reassuring…the office waiting area is cheerfully decorated and remarkably clean…including the examination room!

This is the best MRI facility! Everyone is super nice from scheduling to the techs. They got me in within a day for a scan. Even took me early when I arrived early for my appt. Clean office and just an overall great experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I am a claustrophobic patient. The open MRI at the Schaumburg location is perfect for me. I felt very calm.

This place is a slow death, been waiting Over an hour for a MRI, and only one other person and he been waiting on longer than me and they have no other customers in the back.

I am extremely claustrophobic and Premier MRI was great! The MRI tube is extra large so it was hardly an issue for me. Brian (the tech) was also great! Very understanding and accommodating to make sure I was comfortable. I will never go anywhere else for an MRI. Highly recommend!

I do not normally provide bad reviews, but I feel it is necessary to inform the public, and hopefully doctors who are making recommendations to Premier MRI of Schaumburg, of the situation that I have experienced with them. While I received good care and prompt services from Premier MRI in May 2023, the billing situation has been a nightmare. When I went to their offices, I was told that because I had not yet met my insurance deductible I would have to pay the MRI fee in advance. They allowed me to make a deposit and set up a monthly recurring payment plan. The last payment should have been made in July. To my surprise I received notification from my insurance company that they had in fact covered the bill. However, the recurring monthly payments continued. To my even greater surprise I received a collection notice. For the bill that has now been paid twice. It is now November and that recurring fee is still happening. I called their offices last week to speak with someone in the billing department. I was unable to reach anyone. I spoke with the front desk attendant who told me they don't have anyone in the billing department anymore. When I explained the situation to her, she informed me their system had been hacked and she could not even access my account. She stated their files were being held by ransom ware. They were unable to assist me with any of these issues. I'm even more concerned that my private information has been compromised and I have not received any notification about it. I presume that is because they did not have access to patient names and addresses. However, I have not been able to find any public announcements about this compromise. I am now working with my bank and the credit bureaus to resolve these issues, but it is a pain and very time consuming. Please take these issues into consideration if you go to this company for their services.

Wonderful staff! The chief tech, Brian, is really great with patients who are claustrophobic. The scan times are very short and not as long as the hospitals. Cheaper rates too! i would definitely recommend this MRI facility to anyone that needs it.
