I’ve been hearing of this place for a while and I’ve never made my way out until this last Sunday and it was a great experience. Right from the start with the elevator up it was a cool experience. We were seated right away and were given a seat with an amazing view of the city and sunset. The menu was mostly smaller like appetizer dishes, but they also had a burger which my girlfriend and I both recommend. It was still on the lighter side so I would recommend getting the “big kahuna”. As for sides they only had some time of chips. The menu overall was pretty limited, but I understand it’s Zanzi”bar” and more focused on the drink experience. As for service, it was excellent. John Paul was our server and made the experience that much better. Overall great place, but not the spot if looking for a full service meal.

Amazing atmosphere with gorgeous rooftop views. The signature cocktails were priced per the area and atmosphere at $15. The presentation was very nice but most tasted like fruit juices. We just grabbed drinks in the outdoor patio area by the bar. We never saw our server after he dropped off two drinks and had to chase some down at the bar to close out - the service could have improved during our experience. Some of the other servers seemed nice and were giving out local recommendations to other patrons.

Very easy to find if you read the signage, this place is an oasis in Austin. You walk out of the elevators onto the roof of the Austin Marriott Downtown where it's covered in palms creating a relaxing sensation as soon as you step out. With misters all over the place and fans to keep you cool even though it's 100°F outside. I won't try to butter it up too much, the drink menu is lacking; but, you don't come here for a craft cocktail. You come here for a frozen drinks, a wonderful view, and good service. Taylor was my bartender and she nailed it making sure as soon as I got there a drink was in hand and I was not parched. Overall I recommend you stop in for a drink because you won't beat the view or the oasis vibes!

Really cool place for an after work cocktail - definitely make reservations for more than 3 people. Their tiki drinks are high quality and their sushi and apps were super flavorful. Great place for elevated snacks and one good cocktail. It is definitely a little pricier than some of the bars in this area, but I’d say you get what you pay for here. My one complaint was that the high top chairs were really uncomfortable and hard to move around in, but there were a lot of different seating options if we’d had made a reservation. Our team will definitely be going back!

Beautiful bar that feels like you're transported as soon as you get in their glass elevator up 7 stories. Drinks were lovely but service was a bit slow and unpredictable. The atmosphere was tropical, modern, and lush with a lively crowd. Great date spot before grabbing dinner elsewhere or meeting up with friends.

Cool rooftop bar. I’m not a huge fan of Austin skyline, but this bar has the best views Austin has to offer :) Cocktails were great! And the staff super nice. My only issue with this bar is that it closes already at midnight, which is too early for the weekend IMO…

A fun a popping outdoor spot for people of all ages! I went here to celebrate a birthday and it was great! Even with the triple digit heat the weather was fair so high up and their fans were on max. The service was busy but efficient and charming. The food was great, it taste like the chef actually cares about what we were eating. The view was spectacular and the vibes were chill. I definitely recommend!

Walked in for dinner on Saturday night and they immediately sat us (2). I was very surprised as we did not have a reservation. Wonderful ambiance, and great service from our server Lowell! My favorite drink was the Bird of Paradise and the Dukes Pearl. The Ahi tuna bowl, Spicy tuna hand roll, and jerk chicken were our favorite bites. Would highly recommend checking this spot out - one of my favorite rooftop bars in Austin!

This is a really awesome spot in ATX. Great vibes up on the roof, they really decorated well. It looks like a nice tropical escape! The drinks were really tasty, and the hand rolls were delicious. Come for happy hour to save a few bucks and beat the crowds!

Best spot roof top bar in ATX. From the moment you step onto the elevator to go to level 7 to the time you are seated having cocktails, you're in their jungle. Good vibes, fireplaces, and heaters for those colder nights. Their specialty drinks are incredible, and they make the perfect Manhattan. Not a large menu for foods, but they kill every single of their plates with perfectly balanced flavor. Service was incredible, and I definitely recommend Aaliyah as your server.

Great rooftop venue. Music was at the right level. Food and cocktails were spot on. My waitress Michael was great. Overall, very nice setup and ambience as we creep into the summer months. Glad I stopped in.

This place is one of my favorite places to take friends there when they come visit as it has such a scenery view of downtown. I’m also impressed with the design as it feels like you’re sitting comfortable in a jungle with lots of trees 😂 The food menu is small but they’re good. The drinks are great, very strong.

You wouldn't know it was hot outside while sitting on this rooftop patio. It's got lush tropical vibes with a cool breeze from all the fans. Def an instagrammable place to be. Great for a date or to just hang out with friends. We had the salmon poke bowl and some cocktails. The food was tasty and the cocktails were strong. Our server was great and was even able to recommend some things.

Cocktails and small plates were perfect after a long day of team meetings. The Zanzibar rooftop is filled with lush greenery, comfortable, seating, great views of the city and waitstaff are friendly and quick. Try some of the delicious cocktails on their specialty menu and order up different small plates to enjoy. My absolute favorite, were the shrimp skewers and pork sliders. Forewarning if you visit on a hot humid day, the restaurant does have fans running above seating areas.

LOVE Zanzibar. The service is awesome. The staff is so down to earth and super friendly. We came here after a long day at the pool and had some finger foods and drinks as pictured. The drinks are a little pricey but definitely cute and delicious. The atmosphere is a total vibe and I’d recommend it for a girls day or couples day.

ATMOSPHERE/SERVICE: 9.5/10 It’s best to have a reservation via the weekend, so you can get in there quicker. Beautiful rooftop view of the downtown city! It’s the ideal spot to bring friends or a partner and get some quality photos in! The service was good, and the waiter was attentive. FOOD: 8/10 When it came to the food, the menu wasn’t super large. It’s definitely bar food above-average. The food we did try was very good and not too filling. The drinks were really good also! Overall, this place is definitely a great spot for photo ops and has a chill vibe where you can relax and enjoy the views and get a quick bite and drink!
