It's a difficult one this, room was neat and tidy but towel rack and shelf in the shower were very loose, service was efficient and friendly both at reception and in the restaurant. Food was fine, the beef burger was great but R92 for 3 tempura prawns (not tempura but some soft doughy covering) is steep. Setting is nice but the place needs an aesthetic overhaul, especially reception and restaurant.

03 July 2023. On arrival we were informed that due to renovations the restaurant was closed for dinner. Breakfast was served but limited to bacon and eggs. No cereals for the breakfast.

I am always scared of the word "logde". My experiences of lodges so far have not been too good. And once again the word did not disappoint. We booked two rooms and had to change both due to aircons not working properly. Thankfully the second rooms were better. Rest of the room setting was good. It was sweltering hot and we decided to cool down in the pool. The pool was not sparkling and not blue, but clean enough, so we dared ourselves to jump in. Supper was a huge disappointment. We started off sitting outside, but had to fight flies all the time. We moved inside and still.... flies all around. We moved table for the third time. By then it was getting dark and flies were less of a problem. The food itself was not what I expected. For a starter we shared their patato skins which was fantastic. For mains I ordered the venison pie, which was very dry with no gravy and the crust was more scone-like than crusty. Very disappointing. Vegetables included green beans which were too hairy to eat. I could not taste the parmesan in the parmesan mash, so I suppose it was just mash. All in all, I don't think I will go there again.

They always serve great food. My family love this place. Nice atmosphere. Very clean.

Rooms nice. No food,snacks,drinks,bar?? No braais or fires allowed??? Staff friendly. At exactly 10:01am got a knock at door to check out....bit rude....we were finishing packing. Only good for sleep. Theres nothing else to do.

Wonderful location... The rooms are great, comfortable beds, serviced daily.. The reception staff were amazing too. Enjoyed the restaurant.. Dinner and breakfast was delish.

Accomodation: Fast and friendly Checkin. The rooms are well laid out and the bed is very comfortable. My only gripe is that the room only has bath.(Big enough for 2 people) and no shower. Also a slight irritation is that the aicon remote and DSTV remote have been taped together back to back. This is not user friendly. Kalahari Diner 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Great food, and awesome friendly service which deserves 5 stars. My waiter Raoul and the restaurant manager Riaan were really friendly and on top of their game. For supper I had a Pepper crusted sirloin which was cooked to perfection. This was served with Veg of the day. Creme Brule for dessert was awesome. For breakfast I ordered a standard English breakfast which was great. One comment is that there is no healthy option such as fruit and yogurt which would be nice if you wanted something lighter and non meaty.

We had our fathers 70th birthday day party at Kalahari. The whole experience from booking till after the party went smoothly. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel at home. Thank you guys keep up the good work. I will recommend you. Thank you

I had the Black Beast for dinner here. Definately the best steak I have had In many years. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Too rating to the chef!!!!!!!

Very nice place to eat, with families and good food. But definitely not suitable for families with small children, the swimming pool are open, which are a high drowning risk,. Play area out of sight from the lunch area, and there are also an open gate where very small children can go out and been hit by a car next to the play area. Also perfect spot for child abduction, can grap a child and put the child in a car within seconds by the time you start looking for your child they could be long gone. If you are a concerned parent one parent must stay with the children at all times and one parent must eat alone so that later they can change places, not able to eat together while small children are playing at the play area. Also no staff member supervising the play area. I would anytime go back, but never again whith my son and grand children die to the unsafe environments for children.

Beautiful place with friendly service and the food is great.

Great lodge for an overnight stay. Spacious rooms with air conditioning. Secure parking with a security guard patrolling the car park all night. The food is very nice. The breakfast buffet is great.

Easy access, great rooms, awesome food, best service. From now on, this will be my pit stop.

The dining room as well as the stoep area's furniture is old and worn and needs a revamp years ago, but this in no way detracts from the food. I have had the privilege of having breakfast here several times already. What an experience. The variety is great. The food is well prepared and very tasty. The staff is their strength. Always a smile. Neatly dressed and friendly. This is my favorite breakfast place in Kimberley. If you're driving through Kimberley or just feel like a pampered breakfast, this is the place.

I was there for breakfast, one of the best buffet breakfasts in Kimberly. I hope I will visit again.

Room is comfortable and clean. Only issue was with the shower which needed to be upgraded. Shower head was spraying water everywhere and was green

The room was clean. But what I personally disliked was the long hallway that had different rooms in (almost like a hotel feeling ng). Perhaps I read the advert wrong , but I was expecting single built "flats", like most lodges offer I've been to before. The shower doesn't have a curtain or door, so the whole bathroom floor gets wet, but overall it wasn't bad.

Treating staff terribly, towel rack rails was broken when we arrived, shower was weird and had no curtain or door so half of the bathroom floor was wet. The room we originally booked was not ready and smelling like varnish. The breakfast got worse as our stay progressed and it was not great so advise to rather eat some where else. To top it off they overcharged us as well including many other guests that stayed at Kalahari including the wedding guest As well. Highlights where that the bed was comfy, restaurant for lunch or supper is a great idea. Place is positioned just out of town but less than 10 minutes away to the big malls in Kimberley.

Great place to stay. Services was great. Can order food and drinks. Rooms were a bit close together, but other than that slept lekker and they had decent bathrooms.

Very nice and cozy rooms. Food is amazing. This is my home away from home. I would highly recommend kalahari lodge as a place to stay. Staff is very friendly. Please put this place on your bucket list as a place to stay when you are passing through Kimberley.

The rooms are nice, even though my room had traces of Cigarette smoke, but for what I paid, it was value for money. The reception staff was not great at all, they need to be trained on how to receive guests. But all in all, I slept comfortably.
