The Platzl in Kimberly has always been the heart beat of the community. Mind you, there are many other great stores and facilities/amenities around the community that make this Cranbrook boy a bit envious. The Platzl is a wonderfully colorful pedestrian-traffic hub for the community and visitors to gather. It offers many great buys in both food, clothing, building supplies, quilting and a veritable cornucopia of stores. The Candy Shop and Snowdrift Cafe has always been some of my favorites. Once home to the gigantic The Back Door there is still lots of great gift things all about. You might get a treat to hear one of the talented buskers pouring their heart our in this Bavarian wonderland with its shaded curving bricklaid pathways. The Waterpark is a fun stop for the kiddies.

This little square really makes Kimberley unique. It's a beautiful spot to grab lunch, check out some interesting boutiques, or just get a coffee. The landscaping is very nice and I am jealous my hometown doesn't have a pedestrian-focused location like this.

Having a Platzl is amazing because it brings the community closer together. It is a great place for any occasion. They have shopping, kids activity's, and great food and beverages. They often have festivals and have a great vibe.

First trip to Kimberley as I have always driven the other road which is a few miles shorter. Glad that I took the road here this time. Lots to see and do, a return trip already on my list.

Such a fun visit to the โ€˜Bavarian City of the Rockiesโ€. The Platzl is a must see - great little shops for everyone. Can miss seeing Happy Hansโ€™s clock! Check out this great spot!

Quiet during the day but looks to be more activity in the evenings. Chocolate ice cream was a hit during the heat of the day!

Even on an empty Monday in the off season it was still lovely. Cute town in a wonderful environment.
